Well, Meeradas, let me wipe those tears away. There, there...
Those German beer hall songs performed by fem Italians used to make me cry, too. I left the country in the end, because I couldnt stand drunken sentimentality. My German family never understood, not to this day.

    ..... ... ....
I catch myself, just in time, and say, no way! Do I really need a song like that to make me remember this kind of truth? The production is so
slick it makes me suspicious. But I showed the video to my husband who is a person who cries easily, just to test him, and at the end I discovered that his eyes were dry. Surprise! He only said, Very nice, very well made. So I asked him why it didn't make him cry
And his answer was : 'because I feel loved already, and I feel understood already'.
These Latinos are just different from the rest of us.

Carmody tosses a rock at my still lake and there is a ripple effect....
Like a tsunami, leaving memory debris in it's wake.
Too much to share, as usual...
It will all be processed in due time.
There is that matter of my mother's handwritten war diaries...in my filing cabinet...
waiting to be translated into English.
    Not ready, yet.

Ulli, looking at this picture, I want to be in Costa Rica here and now. As I sit here at my work computer on a Monday morning. Wishing for connections.

My surrounds are not that bad ... lots of Nature. Lots of baggage too.

Made juice this morning. I know it looks horrid, but it's very nice to drink. the orange one is carrots, an orange (peeled but with the white pith left on, very nutritious), and pineapple. The green one is red grapes, a peeled lemon, celery, and a little kale.
The herb tea is an overnight steep of bilberry, calendula petals, and bitter yarrow.

Yarrow was used by the natives for 'bad blood' from trauma (physical and emotional). It also lowers blood pressure, not a bad thing for me with the pressure from work lately. Going back to look at that Costa Rica pic ... that must lower blood pressure too.

Modwiz, wishing you all the best on your journey.
Marianne, a couple of weeks ago, I purchased a Hurom juicer. It squeezes out all the goodness from such as these I've tried so far: kale, spinach, parsnip, fennel and even golden beets (which is new to me). My favorite among my favorites is called, "Avacado Ginger Detox Juice": 1 green apple, 1 avocado, 4 carrots, 1" ginger root.

I figured in case the dollar isn't worth the paper it's printed on, I mine as well spring for this model. So, along with a solar panel, my grass and tree friends of the forest will provided nourishment for me and anyone that happens along the path.

Though, I don't see it as my reality. I say this in part because where I live there's only the puffy kind of clouds.

That carrot/pineapple juice can be bought in many small street-side restaurants here.
If you were to call me from the airport now I'd be out of bed, showered and dressed like a flash to come and collect you.
This goes for all the other villagers, too, by the way.
Which goes to show that the Internet connection can still be trumped by 3D... although I'm not complaining. We are doing ok here, and our connections feel mighty real.

About that joke with the spell from Modwiz.
On second thought, maybe it was better to just wish you the best energies for a good result! So here you go!

I am curious though what that spell is all about.
Maybe you'll let us in on it in time.
My definition of a "spell" is going with the flow and see what I see. And 99.99999% (no make that 100%) of the time I land right where I need to be.

Thought some times it feel like a combination of "Crazy Eight Ball" and "The Game of Chutes and Ladders"

Every time we go out to shop for more than just the basics we have to return to our valley via this road, from where I took this picture.
Our home is in the distance where the river seems to end. From this place it still takes about 15 minutes by car to get there.
I always wish I could just glide home from there instead of drive.

    Hi family,

Checking in. I got home safe & sound, although I brought back a case of the blues. So, I think I'll inhale the uplifting fragrance of love from our Here and Now...and rest.

    Love you all,
Life is a road we don't travel alone. But everyone's on their own journey home.

Meeradas made me weep, Anchor made me fall over laughing with the tractor, the Praying Mantis (!! On our deck yesterday! Light brown, not green! Thank you WCBD, that was SO RIGHT ON what Praying Mantis is telling me ... time to pay attention to my body). Viral Spiral's hilarious UFO catalog ... sometimes my emotions feel like a tennis match reading this thread.

Marianne, orange juice with pineapple is WONDERFUL!!! David made some yesterday. Gimme that baggage, I'll piss on it.

WCBD: Oh that sounds tasty ... "My favorite among my favorites is called, "Avacado Ginger Detox Juice": 1 green apple, 1 avocado, 4 carrots, 1" ginger root."

Ulli: The road of stone you built, it is absolutely gorgeous.

Oh goodie, we-R-one found us. I wuz hoping she would! Hi! Welcome to the Village.

Yesterday, we brought home TWO (How could we choose? We couldn't.) baby Bombay kittens yesterday!!! EEEEEEKS!) (OH that eau de catfood smell wafting from the kitchen floor, the grit underfoot in Dave's bathroom where they've been playing in the litter box ... ). The little girl ended up sleeping directly under my head under the bed, and I WONDER if it is because I have my crystal wand pointing at my head ... and therefore she joined me in the zone of electro-magnetic quietude ...

    Lucy and Berry?
    Sam and Rosie?
Bill and Paul? (Sorry, inside joke!)
    Any ideas?

Chirp chirp is here, and while we were conversing a humming bird came and hovered next to Chirp chirp who proceeded to chirp even more madly at me lol.

    Love, Sierra

Thank you, Ulli. I've got a queen size bed that I'd give up for you and Luis. My couch is plenty big enough for Wolfie and me.

We'd all share pine tree juice with the Villagers, but you'll All have to provide your own sleeping bags. I hope you like rice, barley and beans. Been stocking up since last October.

Darn! How could I forget! After we adopted our babies, we went to Petco to stock up on supplies. We stopped by Barnes and Noble for a bite, and I wandered over to SciFi and Fantasy (teen) and opened ONE book ... ONE book ... that turned out to be about Project MONTAUK! Hah! I did not dare peruse, I'm sure my brain would have gone kabluie and bam, trying to reconcile the truth of Montauk as spoken of by a teen age female protagonist heroine. (Did I just say an oxymoron?)

We have a whole lot of beds which are not being used, including pet beds. At the beach house we have spare:
a wooden queen sized bed, a queen sized futon, and a queen sized blow-up air bed. So 4 couples could sleep there, comfortably. Only one bathroom, which can be a drag... and we really ought to get off of our butts and instal the second one soon.
Here we live in these two moth-eaten cottages...beware...bats in the roof...the one we live in has our own bedroom, plus a single bed in Luis office where the cat sitter sleeps when we are not here.
In the other cottage across the yard there is a single bed in the guest room, and queen sized bed which is currently being stored. The bathroom in that cottage is really nice, and even has hot water. Most Costa Ricans have what is called suicide showers, with the electric heating element directly over your head.
So the potential of me starting a B&B or guest house is constantly staring me in the face...the reason I'm not going ahead and doing it is that I'm too addicted to being online and talking to you all.

Eating out at Barnes & Noble, that's a new one on me, although I've devoured a few books myself in my time
Don't know about an oxymoron (teenage heroine?), but there was definitely a pleonasm or two in there...

That's a pleonasm. And female heroine is another
My female bookshop is usually Amazon and they never serve more than an email even with a book on food

pleonasm - This reminds me of another reason of why Project Avalon is good for me. Vocabulary words. Thank God, there's a dictionary with this computer. And spell checker...

Barnes & Noble I use to live there. Lots of my retirement money was redirected into mind power. And my dirty little secret? I use to read books for free and hide the current read on the bottom shelf of the little used section. I rationalize that I purchased several books a month and drank lots of expensive coffee while I was there. Which made me a really, really, really good speed reader. Ha!

One doesn't have to exclude the other does it?

I have a bed and breakfast with 4 rooms.
A job at home leaves you with lots of time to hop in and out the Avalon community.

In high-season it takes me up to 5 hours a day to run daily matters.
breakfast, cleaning & preparing rooms, welcoming new guests, taking care of reservations requests etc.
