I suspect that it is. So that the sheep look at the head and face and see and understand it as 'one of them'. Those sheep are literally being led to slaughter in that photo.

Photoshop? Boy, if that happened to me, I'd know I've reach where I'm intending to go.

Dark matter DNA active in brain during day-night cycle

Working with material from rat brains, the researchers found some expanses of DNA contained the information that generate biologically active molecules. The levels of these molecules rose and fell, in synchrony with 24-hour cycles of light and darkness. Activity of some of the molecules peaked at night and diminished during the day, while the remainder peaked during the day and diminished during the night. The material came from the brain structure known as the pineal gland.

Located in the center of the human brain, the pineal gland helps regulate the body's responses to day and night cycles, the researchers explained. In the evenings and at night, the pineal gland increases production of melatonin, a hormone that synchronizes the body's rhythms with the cycle of light and dark. In many species, the pineal gland also plays a role in seasonally associated behaviors, such as hibernation and mating, as well as in sexual maturation.

The biologically active material arising from the pineal gland DNA is called long noncoding RNA (lncRNA). The lncRNA is distinct from the better-known messenger RNA (mRNA), which serves as a kind of template to translate the information contained in DNA for the manufacturing of proteins. The lncRNAs appear instead to be involved in activating, blocking or altering the activity of genes or influencing the function of the proteins, or acting as scaffolds for the organization of complexes of proteins. The researchers' use of next-generation sequencing methods detected the lncRNA activity in addition to the mRNA they originally targeted, which helped them in making their discovery.

There is a tree I can see from my window, through a gap between houses.

This tree is one of the trees I "heard" about six years ago when awakening began. Anyway,
these last months I began to realize that something was not right with the tree. In truth, it felt to me as though it was traumatized. I couldn´t figure it out. The thought rested at the back of my mind, and then one day this summer when I passed the tree I understood. The other trees nearby had been cut down in the last couple of years, due to disease. Of course, this tree was missing her friends. And what was worse, the cut down tree next to her had been left lying on the ground for the children to play on. So, maybe this was the explanation, but I still didn´t know what to do about it, except rest my hand on her when passing.

Then, a couple of weeks ago when I was sitting by the sea just being, I suddenly felt a very strong connection to the tree in my heart, and some sort of healing took place. I also had the idea to place orgonite at her trunk.

But the days past and I sort of forgot, and the tree still seemed sad. Then, the other evening just as I had put the kids to bed, I noticed we were out of catfood. The last thing I felt like doing was going out to the shop, but the cat needed feeding. So, out I went. On the walk back from the shop, I saw the moon, and I remembered about the orgonite. So, I returned home, got my orgonite and a small spade and burried it beside the tree ( hoping noone would see ).

And today, when I passed the tree, she felt happy

I have a favourite in this genre, behold:

Voila! In view humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the “vox populi” now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin, van guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

I'm about to throw together a bacon-pumpkin-curry soup into the crockpot. Might sound weird but I made something similar once before and it totally rocked! I can't wait till it is done ... mmmm!

1 pack of bacon - minus what gets eaten in the process - (cooked drained crumbled)
1 very large tin of pumpkin meat
    1 can stewed tomatoes chopped
    2-3 potatoes finely chopped
    1 onion finely chopped
    1-2 garlic clove finely chopped
4 cups chicken / ham broth
    1/2 tsp curry powder
    1/2 tsp garam masala
    salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp chipotle powder
    1 tablespoon lime juice
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    1 cup cream

Just through it in the crockpot except below,
Add bacon, cream, curry and garam masala near the end - bring back to full heat - not boiling.

It turned out so good I didn't even think of adding anything else.

One of the best soups I ever made - everyone went back for thirds
    Soup Update!

One of the best soups ever!
I updated the recipe to reflect closer to what I did - added lime juice and brown sugar, no dill.
An incredible soup that one could easily add almost any kind of other vegetables to. Mushrooms would be nice.

Today has been, is, a day of mourning for me, of both real and imaginary dreams and hopes, what is and what isn't, what could have been but won't. This will soon give way to what will be. I do not yet know this new illusory reality, but it is promising to be perfect...as were the old and outgrown. As I was doing the dishes this morning, I realized that only half of the liquid swirling down the drain was water from the tap. (note to self-add tissue to the grocery list.)

It will take me some time to become comfortable without the part of me I am leaving behind, no doubt it will take some time to stop the leak in fact. But I have faith. PL told me that faith is having confidence in what you know. With my anchor and my faith, I push on.

    Love,
Life is a road we don't travel alone. But everyone's on their own journey home.

She started a new business and felt that she would not find the time to be online.
So it was a voluntary retirement, one she will regret dearly.

Default Re: Here and Now...What's Happening?

I noticed that the most important part was mentioned.

Not boiling. It is the boiling that kills a stew, mix or soup. Never allow it to boil, or the full separate-but-connected flavour mix is destroyed and the thing never reaches the full complexity and subtlety of palate teasing that it can..when it is properly done. Thus it is a TIME consuming process to do these things right. Never allow it to burn or go to boil.

The greases and other heavy components can confine the heat to the bottom (they insulate), if too sharp a change in heating (increased heat) is allowed, and then this can lead to burning at the bottom, with no sign of such at the top. When you see it, it is already too late.

A way around this, if one has no crock pot, is to set up a large bain-marie type cooking scenario, and thus the heating elements AND the negative effects of electricity can be negated.

The 'bain Marie' was invented by the famous Jewish Alchemist Marie, in order to prevent burning and sudden heating of very subtle alchemical mixtures, which are VERY sensitive to heat exposure. To never reach above the boil point of water (and get there slowly and evenly), which is where the burn and damage is done, for food, alchemy, and making subtle mixtures, and so on.

In modern times, this is still used and the electrical burners are a big no-no in alchemy, as it is known to destroy the alchemical function of the materials being made, as does any metallic container. Thus, it is then clear that the subtlety of flavour is retained when you see old fashioned ceramics and fire used in cooking.

    That is the connection.

No electricity, no metal cooking utensils...(not even for stirring!!!) and the food is thus incredible tasting and it retains all the intense flavours and energies that our bodies have been denied in these modern times, when aided by these modern contrivances.

In modern times, one can use an electric element on an electric stove, and then use a pyrex glass based 'bain marie' set up to make a stew or a soup mix. Chemistry uses pyrex for this very reason, and cooking is.... for the larger part, an identical enterprise...and cooking, chemistry and alchemy are largely inseparable as form and functions go.

This is an easy test, folks..... big pot, then a pyrex pot in it as a bain marie, and then do some cooking, using wooden spoons for the stirring and mixing.

For some of you, it will be like tasting good food for the first time. it's a bit of training and a lot of work, the first few times. Then it becomes habit, like everything else.

Essentially it is impossible to damage a food mix with a bain marie. crock pots can still damage the quality of food, and do so...and the correct method is the ceramic or glass bain marie.

This one knows these things as true, but does it does not mean that this one practices it..

Asking the Villagers for help. See if you can perform a miracle for me.
I have a lump in my left breast...same place where I had a cyst removed surgically, in 1988.
The thing is, all these years the Gynocologist wanted to cut again and I kept telling him it was just scar tissue from the last operation. But it's growing and I'm a bit nervous about it. I so hate surgery...have had eight so far and not looking forward to old age. Surgery is awful, as is hospitalization.

Is it slightly higher up, not low? that was my impression....

Cysts do tend to grow. 1988 is a long time ago, thus if it was not a cyst and suddenly going active, without your entire body being riddled by now... is highly unlikely, IMO
