Thanks - just checked with my wife in Medellin... she didn't even feel it but Alejandra, my step daughter, did. This is why this thread should remain open. Here and Now...What's Happening?

This is an excercise thread. Members can post as often as they like, as long as they describe their physical reality.
What you see, hear or smell.
Whatever is going on.

Here it is 5:55 am as I write this. I'm in bed, on my back, tapping these letters on my ipad screen. Ipad on my belly. Temperature just right, not too hot not too cold.
Husband on my left, snoring, big fat cat is lying on his chest getting ready to be fed in a few minutes.
Curtains still drawn. River noise...now a motor bike. Husband waking up.


Update: the above was written in September of 2011, and anyone can see that things have changed in the thread.
So here is the introduction to what is happening NOW, since we are in 2012 things have shifted a bit.

Here is something for our newcomers:
(apart from the formal "welcome to the thread")

First there was UFO sightings, crop circles, missing memories, mutilated cattle, weird secretive government behavior, wars, famines, corruption....
Then came the Internet.
Text, then graphics, then photos, then you tubes, all along forums where sh!t was being discussed and argued about.
The art of the anonymous insult was developed.
Then came Project Avalon, and Bill Ryan's standards in civility made it to the Internet
with a 95% balanced moderator team.
And still, people were arguing about other people's speculations.
A need for reporting reality (never mind how mundane) arose and I was prompted to start this thread.

To begin with the early posters shared those (never mind how mundane) moments of their lives...
which resulted in the discovery that we all had more in common than expected.
and somehow an intimacy developed.
Intimacy means comfort, and comfort means warmth, and warmth means energy.

As this energy was being exchanged it grew and grew and people started to feel their own energy levels going up.

And this, my dear newcomers, is the point of this thread!
You are all welcome to help yourselves here.
Anything you wish to share is accepted, without judgment...
We are a loving bunch.
Please feel FREE and COZY in the Village.
As they say in Costa Rica: Mi Casa es Tu Casa (which means in English 'my house is your house')

Well, I think that the Here and Now village is an excellent concept. I have seen and heard some amazing things shared by many members. Perhaps this thread has acquired too many wrinkles to iron out.... but there is always the sign!

To close, or not to close, that is the question that only Ulli can answer.... and it looks like she has...

So, big thanks to Ulli and all villagers who have shared here...I learned a lot. The Village will always be a cool place to hang in Avalon, even if it's in the past tense!

I've loved coming to the Village. I will greatly miss this thread. It felt like home.

When we live closely and intimately with another person, we really get to witness and experience what that person is really, truly like. One cannot hide from the one who knows them the best. In light of this I can say sincerely that 'Another Bob' is not only not a troll nor a 'know-it-all' but rather he is one of the most thoughtful, insightful, compassionate, and also humble persons that I've ever had the great blessing to know. To see someone abused or treated shoddily, either here or in our lives, I've seen tears come to Bob's eyes at even the thought of someone being harmed or maligned unfairly. To know him, is to Love him. If ever you want a real Friend who would never put himself above another as better or smarter or more clever, then Bob's your beautiful man for that. I am compelled to say these things here because he is so very dear to me and I wish to set the record straight about his nature, from one who actually knows him inside and out. Sorry, have I been a little cryptic? Atticus was "Charles"'s screen name on the forum around the time I joined. As for mod Paul, you need to check out his signature

I don't think you have cryptic crosswords in the USA. The clues are based on ambiguities, typically only part will be the definition (you have to work out which part) and the rest will be instructions on how to find the solution.

For example, Friday's first clue was a word of nine letters: "Everyone's in debt when there's a female around when there's witches around!" Everyone's in debt is "all owe"; a female is "hen"; put "hen" around "all owe" and you get Halloween, defined as "when there's witches around. That one is not too difficult because the words all mean what they seem to mean, which is not always the case. For instance, "not just brunette?" (6) where "not just" means unjust i.e. unfair which is a fun definition of brunette.

It takes a peculiar turn of mind to tease out these miniature false flags.

I just figured out why I choose Ben & Jerry's over crossword puzzles.

Let's all just start again and stop feeling "want" and commenting on it ... shall we? Let's see how fast we can make this work. The only problem was there was too much energy (likely from the last solar flare) and we all couldn't sort it fast enough. There is an opportunity here. To move forward.

Stumbles happen all the time whether individual or group. The only negative about that is when we don't get up and keep going.

We need to distinguish between a troll, i.e. a full-time mischief maker, and the trolling activity, in which we have probably all engaged, if only for the space of a single post, with or without the intention, but with the effect, of (partially) derailing a thread.

This matter needs to be taken up with the moderators. or a new thread.
Last night a moderator mentioned the rule about not preaching,
and he responded by posting a picture of a man flogging a dead horse,
which upset several members including the mod against whom it was directed.
He became very annoyed when that picture was shown again,
with a dotted line, meaning no comment.
His annoyance had been evident for more than 24 hours, because I yanked Jencis chain in a minor way, but which made her storm out of here. That post will soon be presented for all to see.

So bob has friends, and the various liaisons are causing a chain reaction now,
which reminds me of the various treaties of European nations which created the chain reaction before WW1.

If everyone put up that picture every time bob repeated one of his points re moving past the mind,
and which most of us already do, as regular meditators.
this thread would look like a 18th century battle field after the battle was over.

Strangers to the village getting in the middle, certainly not part of the solution. Both AB and Jenci are perfectly capable of making up their own minds on how to handle the conflict. They are not whiny baby victims that require someone who has never posted on this thread to step in and insult. At least, I do not perceive them that way. At. All. They are self-professed Buddhists, hello.

I cannot see how a non member of the village who has never posted as a villager, can be part of the solution, and why would you want to be part of the problem? Expand the polarity? What for? Do you think Jenci or AB (considering they *are* Buddhists) would appreciate this behavior? Need this behavior?

Thinking very hard here, they wouldn't. I know they wouldn't. They are loved, they know they are loved, the entire village is aware the energies Uranus/Pluto/Full Moon are intense right now, and we need clarity, not polarity.

I think it would be a good idea to keep the discussion between villagers, who know and love ALL the parties concerned. And this silly polarized "thanking" bit. Never happened on the H&N thread before. Like gnats or flies buzzing around when one tries to read ... wtf?

Ulli, I know you own this thread but it would really grit my teeth to have the Village thread closed just as strangers came in (in attack mode). I ask, no victory for those attempting to disrupt or derail the thread. Yeah. I ask.

We all have sticky outty bits that have to grind sometimes. And with the energies as they are, let's take the grinding with lots of loving and thrice blessed water spraying on the contact points.
