Once, I ruined a hand loomed rainbow colored mohair throw rug (full size couch throwover). It's not like that you get to do that everyday.

Listening...

My mother had made it, and it was adorning her couch at her place.

That was the last time I drank and got drunk. (age 19) I drank tequila, you see.... Ruined the couch too.

Didn't even know where I was. that place, when drunk, that is beyond conscious comprehension. When I came to, as they say, it certainly wasn't any better. She was out of town and I was using her place to crash. In this case, literally.

Had a feeling it was a story like that. Glad your relationship with Mom survived that bump in the road.

How can anyone who is shared in the village be deemed not a villager? Because ulli says it's so? I'm sorry, I really am, to be stirring stuff up. I'm not holding ulli to blame, we are all adults here, but from where I stand abob was a villager from the minute he first posted here, and the drama seems to have started with ulli's snappy response to jenci. I'm having a hard time finding the balance in the situation. The village is it's own entity, it was conceived on this thread, but should the thread be closed what the village is would recollect itself elsewhere. This weird connection we share is a living thing and it will preserve itself. Love to you, ulli, my friend, please let us find it in ourselves to forgive. Hoes and Porno.

So what do you want to see done? As a next step. Give me a clue.

Everything is process and process is goal. It is stagnation that is not beneficial.

So .. who's got the ball?

It looks like the thread is getting back on track, I'd say just leave the door unlocked and the porch-light on and see where the next part of this process brings us. My 2 cents

I just powered my way through a flu with all the energy that has been around -- I was barely even set back! There definitely has been an abundance - in ways sometimes not good, as that energy has to be processed somehow or it tends to process you

Forgiveness doesn't come from the action of others, it comes from within...

waiting for a sorry leaves an open wound that wouldn't be there if it was forgiven at the start...

We are a helluvea a long way from gender wars, and that's a good thing, given what's transpired since, but so many have invested so much positive energy into this thread and into themselves that you can feel it, that should not be in danger, not even from you. Don't feel bad.
You brought lots of loving energy and no one holds a thing against you.

This is the thing...it is just not true that we give people a hard time here.
The members have a great time and those who want to stir up trouble
usually leave after a short while anyway because of lack of feedback.

The question of the inequality, statistically speaking is valid, but could be answered that exactly because women are more connected to children, who are dependent on her, as adults in the making, and therefore she has to consider the long-tern consequences of her behavior, which prevents her from committing crimes the way men do.
