Each person must map their own next step.
It cannot be done by others.
The thing with forgiveness depends on dialogue between the parties involved.
Anyone who thinks that I ought to run after the two people in question
has not yet figured out that the are specific procedures.

So what if I were to ask bob to return? What about the others who felt that he had behaved wrong?
This is a process that must start with him. If he shows any consideration at all
and I still hold resentment then the burden is on me, isn't it?
Then we can really start talking about the injustice done to him.

Please people, try to understand and get above your own emotional levels
and sort the wheat from the chaff in your own thinking processes.
All calls for unity, especially if one party is constantly demanding more than can be given,
can only lead to more confusion and conflict.

You are absolutely right, ulli. I have never even considered that there may be "specific procedures" to forgiveness.

And yes, by choice I, for one, am ruled by the heart (not emotion) much more than the mind...which is sharper than some may think (no need to go into IQ's now, is there?). Logic tells me that if the goal is reconciliation and forgiveness, then it doesn't matter who started what or who was right or wrong...it is more important to reach out than to allow some kind of false pride to stand in the way of the goal. Procedures be damned!

If the goal is to come out on top as tho' this was a competition, then by all means make them grovel...make them play by your rules. I wouldn't...but others might.

imo, you had an emotional, gut reaction to Jenci's post...feeling your position here was being threatened and going into defensive posture.... and are now trying to rationalize it all away. Fine. Do what you believe you must to protect your own self-image.

Having a hard time holding my Scorpio side back and needing to clear the bullsh!t. I'm amazed no one else has smelled it. That's funny, and not shot at you Belle, but I find when my blinders are on is the problem, because then I get caught up in what I can't see, which usually causes misunderstandings and having to fill in the view with the things I cannot see, and that is what starts the problems. Just my 2 cents

That there is a procedure or not Bell, Ulli is asking for the procedure. She has been extending her hand to AB a few times, in public, asking him to extend first, when in fact she was actually doing it, this is my interpretation. The gesture may have been misperceived, the words may have been not entirely chosen, the communication may seem awkward, but I see the effort, love and pain.

Ok flash, long before this thread there was another thread, where I suggested to another member who is now unsuscribed that he offer forgiveness instead of demanding apology, and everyone took two things from that thread, timelines and ho'oponopono. I was at work soon after talking about what all I'd learned about ho'oponopono, and one of my coworkers who is more secular minded said it sounded like "hoes and porno" and one day I shared this with the village and we all had a laugh about it. Just a little irreverent fun, but when you see anyone around here say hoes and porno, it means ho'oponopono.

Oh, I get it now. That was before I was born (here). Suggestion: no you don't need one...

I find it kind of difficult to keep up with the village here, but for today, Sierra....LOVE the kitties. And your backyard, and view from your windows is outstanding!!! What a beautiful countryside.
To everybody else, it seems I am not the only one to be feeling the full moon and solar activity energies. Its clear by reading through todays postings, the moods are a tad frisky. No more smilies, I have decided just now.
This is the risk people take.
It is an exercise thread, remember? A totally new concept, and therefore we will all mess up at times.
People exchanging their energies...

But we learn to take responsibility for our own projections and attitudes towards other people.
No more like and dislike...just watch what you perceive in another. This now goes for all of us.

So people want me to accept all and everyone the way they are?
What if I start asking the same of them?
Can they still love me, even if they are uncertain whether I'm being serious or joking?

No more guarantees, not more clarifications, no more enabling nor mollycoddling.

Those who know me already also know that I have a dry sense of humor which they can then interpret in a variety of ways.
That interpretation will then tell them how they see me, not how I am.
And that judgement will then tell them who they are.

P.S. when I wrote that post that had everyone so furious at me I wasn't angry at all,
but wrote it in a teasing tone, and felt really sure she would not take offense. To take offense was then her choice.
People pinned onto it what they wished to see. This post was mild compared to what I see being sent at people on the forum every day, and even some of the things I had to swallow today.

Astrid is using all her extra energy to work in the village garden,
it's been a while since i have set foot in there, and there is much to be done.
Hedges and trees need pruning, and i was even thinking of planting some more
fruit trees, some peaches and apples for a start.
It's a fine day for playing in the garden, if anyone want to join me you
are most welcome.

All is good, cycles do what cycles do, nature does not stop even if us mere mortals,
have to rest and unwind, life goes on regardless.

I learned lots today - not sure I will remember the lesson but here's what I learned. Be careful when you jump into a thread... you may not have sufficient background. I went back to try and understand why things got weird. Then I felt bad about my own posts. I just thought I was having fun. Now I feel like a turd. justonedummy

By the way Sierra, those cats of yours are gorgeous! It reminded me of my dearly departed burmese cat, Jimmy. He was thirteen years old when he died. Since then, I have not even been able to consider becoming attached to another cat. One day in the future maybe.....

Once, I ruined a hand loomed rainbow colored mohair throw rug (full size couch throwover). It's not like that you get to do that everyday.

Had a feeling it was a story like that. Glad your relationship with Mom survived that bump in the road.

Nah. I was visualizing the gorgeous rainbow mohair throw being thrown in the wash and coming out a dirty mauve color, about 2' X 2' shrunken down ... lol

Nah Nah... I was visualizing the mystical Carmody sitting on the beautiful rainbow mohaire throw that he had pitch on the floor, in deep meditation, so deep that his body started to emit intense heat and the mohair throw burned out. lol

as for what happened during the blackout, Carmody was running through the village wearing a rug and caught the attention of...

he dropped the rug and ran...

Nah, nah, nah. I was visualizing the laid back Carmody falling asleep smokin' a fat one...which promtly caught it on fire. lol

Yes, it hurts (that is McKnao in my avatar). McKnao died at 18, and has been dead 3.5 years, and when we got the kitties home and settled, I went to bed and sobbed and sobbed for him. Kitties kicked stuff.

The vet while examining Martha and Pippin, said that we kept McKnao until he was 18 especially that he was diabetic, was amazing. (I felt like SUCH a proud mommy hearing that!)
