Promising News For Mother Earth, As I Wish To Share This Spiritually Comforting News With Avalon. This 1 hr. Video goes by very quickly. So pull up a log, open an ear and have a seat by the fire.

Kymberlee Ruff, is 1/4 Cherokee. She was adopted into the Hopi family of Grandfather Martin Gashweseoma known as "The Keeper of the Sacred Tablets of the Fire Clan". Tibetan Monks came to Santa Barbara looking for her son, a tradition of Tibetan Buddhists to send out search parties to find reincarnated Lamas. The Tibetans and the Hopi have a prophecy that begins:

"When the Iron Eagle Flies and Horses have Wheels..." Told that her son is the human link between these two matching prophecies, she was given knowledge of the prophecy of these two cultures and asked to speak out about the positive changes coming in 2012. A licensed psychotherapist, she has studied with many Elders and Tibetans since 2001. Grandfather Martin asked her to write about the "Hopi /Tibetan Prophecies".

What a story she has to tell and in my core I know its true.
and it follows somewhat the prophecy from The Intertrible Medicine Society
as revealed by womens society within it.

and in that prophecy it says that as a humanity we will choose
and in our choice we will create a new world
and the quality of the world will be according to our choice.

and it is clearly summed up in the words below in my postscipt.

and like her there are many many thousands now helping with the shift.
    Warriors of the Rainbow.
and this is why the Hopi have always taken in the white people to teach them
for in their hearts they have known that all people must do the work together

I had the opportunity to meet Grandfather David heart to heart once.

I am speechless. This has triggered something inside me, this made me cry tears of such joy.
I don’t know exactly why this has affected me this way but something is bubbling up inside me that I have no words to describe. I have never understood why I stay in Arizona, for some reason I keep coming back here and somehow it seems appropriate that I am here. Guess we will soon find out : )

Thank you very much Wf for sharing this.

WHEN THE IRON BIRD FLIES: Tibetan Buddhism Arrives in the West is the first feature length documentary to take a comprehensive look at the impact Tibetan Buddhism is having on Western culture. The film creates a vivid portrait of the world of Tibetan Buddhism as it is manifesting in the West–from the personal experiences and insights of teachers and practitioners to the wide-ranging dialogues taking place between Buddhist teachings and the worlds of science, psychology, and the arts.

We began shooting this film in April of 2009. It’s been a huge undertaking and we are now thrilled to be in the final phase of editing. We hope that you feel inspired to contribute to the film, spread the word to others, or simply take time to learn about our project!

Check out our latest Kickstarter Project Update.

    Follow us on Facebook.

Enjoy the 20 minute preview on Vimeo.

Visit our Iron Bird web page.

See our 5 minute trailer below.

    WHAT THIS FILM IS ABOUT

"When the iron bird flies and horses run on wheels, the Tibetan people will be scattered like ants across the face of the earth." – Guru Padmasambhava of Tibet, 8th Century

    In 1959, the
Chinese invasion of Tibet threw open the doors to the mysterious realm of Tibetan Buddhism, and suddenly these ancient teachings became accessible to the modern western world.

Fifty years into this extraordinary spiritual collaboration between East and West our film asks: Where are we now? What have we learned? What is working… and what isn’t? Is there such a thing as a Western Tibetan Buddhism? And what does it look like? Along the way, we tackle the controversial issues of patriarchy, hierarchy, the student-teacher relationship, gender bias, and the importance of lineage in the transmission of Dharma from East to West.

And the film explores the vital question – “In these increasingly chaotic modern times, can these age old teachings help us find genuine happiness and create a saner, more compassionate 21st century world?”

    THE STORY OF THE FILM

“When the Iron Bird Flies” weaves an intricate tapestry of interviews with contemporary teachers of Tibetan Buddhism, stories of western practitioners, rare archival footage, and striking images of modern life that illuminate and make accessible the Buddha’s core teachings.

During the past three years of production we have traveled to England, Mexico, Nepal, India and throughout the US, filming many of the established and emerging teachers of Tibetan Buddhism in the West, including:

Tsoknyi Rinpoche III, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, Anam Thubten, Choegyal Rinpoche, Thrangu Rinpoche, HH Dalai Lama, HH 17th Karmapa, Phakchok Rinpoche, Khandro Rinpoche, and Mingyur Rinpoche.

Western teachers and scholars featured in the film include Reggie Ray, Tsultrim Allione, Alan Wallace, Gerardo Abboud, Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyal, Fleet Maull, Sharon Salzberg, Marcia Binder-Schmidt, Matthieu Ricard, Dr. Rita Gross, E. Gene Smith and Dr. Richard Davidson.

The film includes compelling stories of Western Buddhist practitioners from a variety of Tibetan traditions, including:

A German nun who we see become the first woman in the history of the Tibetan Buddhist world to receive the degree of Geshe (equivalent to a PHD).
A young man, who after living on the streets as a homeless youth moves to India and begins an intensive study of Buddhist philosophy in an all-Tibetan college.
A man who spent thirteen years in prison where he developed a deep connection with Tibetan Buddhist practice, who now teaches all over the world. We see his personal life integrate his understanding of the teachings with the care of his dying partner.
A young woman who leaves her job and a fast-paced party life in New York City to spend five months in solitary retreat in the mountains of Colorado.

WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE NEED TO GO

Working on the film has been an extraordinary journey for both of us. Over the course of three years of production, we have filmed many amazing people who bring a diverse range of voices to the project – from Buddhist feminist scholars to scientists studying the effects of meditation on the brain, from accomplished Tibetan Lamas to Buddhist rappers and everything in between.

Both of us have been engaged with Tibetan Buddhism for a number of years. The film is an expression of our passion to bring together our Buddhist practice and our work as filmmakers to create a film that inspires and provokes discussion in Buddhist and non-Buddhist communities alike.

    What needs to be done:

Our goal is to complete WHEN THE IRON BIRD FLIES by June, 2012. We are in the editing phase now, working with editor Catherine Hollander (“The Tailenders”) and consulting editor Johanna Demetrakas (“Crazy Wisdom”).

We have been invited to premiere the film on June 16th at BuddhaFest, a four-day festival that happens annually in Washington, D.C. Tsoknyi Rinpoche will be there to present the film.

I have always felt that the greatest things in recent time is that has happened to the Lamas of Tibet was to be cast out of their homeland.
It was like great spirit gave them the boot out the door so that they could find their way to the work they needed to be doing
which was not being held up in some remote monestary doing ceremony and contemplating their navel.

The Impact the Dahli Lama has had upon the world is a thousand times greater than previous potential realities offered, since his exile from Tibet. , IMHO.
Ditto for so many other of the Buddhist teachers, Rinpoches, etc.
It is a great teaching in that life is lived not in the place one resides but in the spirit one resides.

Thanks for the responses. Im glad you have resonated with Kymberlee and her interesting story.
Kymberlee Ruff is also a close friend of another inspiring woman known to Project Camelot in Miriam Delicado. I get some good vibes from Miriam. Kerry and Bill had done an interview with her awhile back. When you get a chance listen to her as well. She is a true Guardian of Gaia.
Some Great info and Videos on her website have a peak when you can.

WF... Thank You for an absolutely Great Find! This message truly resonated with me, and the 'coincidences' and similarities of 'prophecy' are amazing. I've been feeling somewhat 'down' of late... so much negativity floating about... this item has lifted my spirit.

All this 'mumbo jumbo' is about clarity of the mind....seeing clearly.
This then leads to awareness of that which is aware.
That in turn leads to knowing pure being.

Everything is a means to an end...!!!!.
    Then one realises unlimited love.

Thank you WF. A beautiful woman with a beautiful message for humanity. One heart here we are Phew. Now all we have to do is activate the new timeline we have manifested. No easy task but also no turning back as we have gone beyond the point of no return. Lets get together and it will be alright.

Now for a giggle which for me was not a giggle at the time. For me to listen to a video i have to download it to my computer in the local post office, i just copy and paste the URL into my Utube down loader. take it back to my caravan then get my small generator out and settle in for my evenings entertainment. It takes around 4hrs to download a 1hr video because our internet speed is only half a meg. The day i downloaded (what i thought was the proper video) it took 8hrs to download.

You got it. i am a silly billy, I downloaded the stupid 2hrs of a fire by mistake. Grrr. please in future if there is a video that has no connection to the thread please leave a warning not to view that video.

Anyways i enjoyed the video after my second attempt.
When you express from a fearful heart in the now moment, You create a fearful future.
When you express from a loving heart in the now moment, You create a loving future.

Have no fear, Be aware and live your lives journey from a compassionate caring nurturing heart to manifest a compassionate caring nurturing future. Billyji

    Peace
