I'll try to scan the x-ray. The finger was sticking out at a bit of an angle, and she couldn't get it to come back, so I figured it was dislocated. The x-ray shows why it was angled.

She said the boy is "annoying" but not mean. I think this was one of those cases of young teenage boys being attracted, but awkward - and she really wasn't interested in him at all. My guess is that when he sees her in a cast and sling (they wanted to immobilize the hand to allow the bone to reattach), he will feel awful - probably will be harder on himself than anything that would be imposed by others. Since it happened on school grounds, I suspect the school will do more than my daughter wants done. Her response so far went from being pissed off at the boy to a compassionate response that she realizes he will probably feel terrible. I'll remind her tomorrow that it may go a long way to allowing him to forgive himself if she verbally forgives him.

"planets in Scorpio" I've never had her chart done. (In fact, I've never had mine done except by someone who was a complete beginner, 40 years ago. Might be interesting to see what the charts say about her, and me too.)

PurpleLama obviously connected. Maybe not exactly what some may call a precognition, but that's what I'd call it. I think it says a lot about his purity of spirit (for lack of a better phrase) to have clairvoyant visions. At least, that's what popped into my head.

Careful that she does not give too much back to him, as this may encourage him further. I mean, it has already escalated to the the point where this happened. If she forgives him too strongly/meaningfully/directly, his attraction addled and narrowed focus mind (on this subject) might take this as a 'come on'.

When I was back in my private equity days, we went to China to buy a factory there. It employed about 20,000 people. And they were almost all young women between the ages of about 18 and 22 or 23. They were saving for potentially becoming married.

And they work in these huge factories, they made various uh, small appliances. And uh, as we were walking through this facility, seeing them work, the number of hours they worked per day, the pittance they earned, living in dormitories with uh, with little bathrooms at the end of maybe 10, 10 room, rooms. And the rooms they have 12 girls per room.

Apparently Mitt Romney's description of the factory:

Three bunk beds on top of each other. You've seen, you've seen them? (Oh...yeah, yeah!) And, and, and around this factory was a fence, a huge fence with barbed wire and guard towers. That x-ray shows a lot of detail. There are sprains of the ligaments connecting the proximal phalange to both the metacarpal and the medial phalange. You can see how the base of the phalange has slipped to the left off of its metacarpal base. That, and the direction of the break, shows which way the force came. You can also see the slight deviation in the way the medial phalange meets the proximal one.

The phalangeal bones are the three that make up a finger. The one that sits closest to the body on the metacarpal is the proximal phalange, and then the medial, ending in the distal.
