But the beliefs about 21 December, widely shared in the New Age community, make it "real" in societal terms. The rest of the physical universe doesn't know about that, though. It's purely a New Age cultural phenomenon, and nothing more. It will pass.

Let's look forward to 1 January 2013 (as I've often written) -- and then we can put all the hysteria behind us and focus on important matters. Dark Forces, whose interests and agendas are unwittingly supported with many otherwise able and perceptive people embracing the massive diversion and distraction, are having a field day. Next year it's important that we all get on with the job in hand.

We really need to be more concerned with "real" things that are going on that are more in our face than fairy tales and polluted fear traps of fiction......all one really needs to do to know whats really going on is to just simply observe the world around them through their own eyes (and mind/heart/spirit), not through the eyes and minds and demands of others.

If we learned anything in 2012, it's not to take anything for granted as "truth".

If nothing else a 'new age' should have nothing whatever to do with an old one. Use that date, and make that choice and determination for yourself. But whenever you make

I think we may hear about some cult or someone killing themselves. And how many people have been duped out of their money. Harold Camping gained a lot of attention for his prediction, did odd things. Not sure how many really do believe 2012 and will act upon it, so far it seems some of popular trend, I hardly see much mention of it on other sites I go to, besides the odd joke. Just seems like there is a huge air of denial behind much of the supporters at times.
The universe does not conform to us, we conform to it, our dates are only as good as what has been observed, its all based upon our view from the Earth, which has existed only a short time.
This will all happen again, whatever the next date is, I'm sure there is probably dozens more going to be raised years after.

For me, this is all head stuff. Yes, there is no doubt that disinformation abounds. But for those of us who are well attuned to energy, there is also no doubt that there have been massive shifts in energy. Not just amongst the aware either - I (and many others) have noticed people (average people) are becomming kinder. For anyone who has taken the trouble to process inner demons and reclaim their integrity and unity, and to live from the heart, there are signs everyday that what we have here is an opportunity to release ourselves from the grip of fear, and to take our rightful places as beings of Love. Personally, I have found the quality that we may call magic increasing in my life. It is fine taking a strictly scientific approach - I hold a science degree, I know a little about the approach - but it is not right to discount the inner findings of those who have done the hard yards and endured the dark nights to show the others the way back to love. I would call this akin to the starving man spitting in the face of the kind stranger who offers him food.

Consider Y2K. It sold a lot of anti-virus softwear, but what else did it do? In legal terms we might call it a precedent - there was much similar hype and belief, but nothing happened. The key to controlling a population is to instill a innate instinct to ridicule those who propose things that are out of the box. Control is even numbered - it is square - hence "the box". Freedom is in the odd numbers, for example: the power of the 3. Try not to discount it, it is the road to empowerment when we unify the poles of duality with the spirit or magic that connects all. This is done in the heart, and the head (ego) is not really happy with that. The fact that anyone can do it and become empowered does not appeal to the power "elite".

So we would do ourselves a favour if we guarded ourselves against being brainwashed into throwing the baby of truth out with the bathwater of agenda.

If you read the posts in the thread Bill linked to, it appears that most of the "reasons" deduced from the physical universe do not hold much water.. that is, they are decoys and obfuscating the actual reason or source of what sensitives are perceiving.

My questions, then, are:

Who or what is doing the perceiving?

What exactly is being perceived?

Where exactly is it perceived from?

Because, between the telepathic wars amongst the different human and ET factions, the AI interferences by same from satellites and people's "angels" and "demons" as well as "hitchikers/inserts," the field is pretty much muddied out.

Who is perceiving? My heart tells me it is my higher self, from the place (for want of a better term) "just below" the threshold of my unity with the rest of humanity.

What is being perceived? Our true nature, which is love. The energy of love is intense, beautiful, and not at all like a hallmark card. No fluffy kittens, just truth, but the ability to love all life is part and parcel.

Where is it perceived from? I would say our perceiving from a place outside the lower 3 dimensions, but if you mean where is the energy coming from, then I would say from all dimensions.

We all experience this in a unique way, but I think most would agree the common thread is love.
