I live in the area of this, well I would call it an institutional structure. The underground area Ventura was exploring is called the Springfield Underground. It has been here since the mid-seventies. The community has always understood the underground system to be a storage area for products and supplies for the trucking companies that cross the country through this area. It is my understanding that anyone can rent a storage space in this facility although I have never tried. The "castle" has been a puzzlement to all of us, but our newspaper did an article on it and showed the family standing inside and called it a single-family home. The owner is supposed to be using it as an example of structural materials that can be used to build a place that is impenetrable to weather and catastrophic events. I wasn't aware of the other cave opening shown in the woods, but there are a lot of caves like that in the area.

Thanks for the information! It's good to hear from someone that lives in the area! In the video the fellow with the flavorable name of "whiterabbit" said there were at least a dozen of these complexes in the area. Is this true silverstar? Are they all used for freight or are they off limits to the general public? It would be interesting to hear more about these massive complexes.

Here's something I just stumbled upon re: caves in the parks in the Ozarks... They are closing up the entrances with bars as a "precaution" to protect bats from getting White Nose Syndrome....yeah, I bet that will really help the bats!

IMPORTANT! ALL CAVES IN THE OZARK RIVERWAYS ARE NOW CLOSED TO VISITATION (Except for Guided Tours of Round Spring Cave). This is due to the discovery of White Nose Syndrome, a disease that kills bats, in Shannon County. Please respect these closed caves for the protection of the bats. More information on park cave closing. People are not affected by the disease, which is 90% fatal to bats, but people may carry the disease spores on clothing, shoes, eyeglasses, hair, etc. While every cave will NOT have a gate on it, all caves are closed to entry, except for guided tours of Round Spring Cave. Over 300 caves have been identified within the boundaries of Ozark National Scenic Riverways, ranging from not much more than a rock overhang to one cave with almost seven miles of identified passages. Eight caves, including an open sinkhole, have been designated as outstanding natural features.

The Ozarks is an area typified by what is called "Karst Topography." This means that the geologic structures underneath the earth are made of soluble limestone and dolomite. Water has been at work underground wearing away passages- waterfilled ones we call springs and formerly water-filled ones we call caves. A karst landscape is one in which caves, springs, sinkholes and losing streams are found. Due to the porous nature of the ground, and the movement of water underground over sometimes great distances, groundwater in karst areas is particularly vulnerable to pollution.

Cave ecosystems are unique and delicately balanced, with major changes possibly occurring from relatively slight disturbances. Geologic formations in some caves are quite fragile, easily damaged by vandalism or visitor overuse. Their formation is extremely slow, and physical damage may remain in evidence for generations. Some caves have been used by man and animals since prehistoric times, and evidence of this use and artifacts may be easily obliterated. Some Ozark caves, which are better known or more easily reached, have received considerable visitation, and more damage and site deterioration have occurred. Caves may contain unsuspected hazards to visitors unfamiliar to such alien environments, and the threat of serious injury or death from falls or drowning is always present. Several caves serve as habitat for the endangered Indiana and gray bats. All park caves are now closed to visitation. Please respect these closures.

A serious disease of bats called White Nose Syndrome has been killing bats, including the Federally Endangered gray bat. It may be spread by humans. Due to the discovery of this disease in the area of the park, all park caves are now closed with the exception of guided tours of Round Spring Caverns. PLEASE do not bring in any clothes or gear, including shoes, cameras, hats, etc, that have been in any other cave into Round Spring Cave. If you have been in other caves, it may be best to reconsider your visit to Round Spring Cave completely for the sake of the bats. More info.

I know of no other complexes of this nature in the area...but I'm going to keep my eyes and ears open since he said that. There is an old castle in Springfield called The Pythian Castle. Lots of mystery with this castle. Pythian seems to have been the name of a secret organization, but I can't get any info concerning the Pythians. Early 20th century it was used as an orphanage. It is said that a Japanese prisoner of war was held there in WWII. I explored the castle before the current owner (a woman from New York) turned it into a venue for weddings and such as well as theatrical productions, also strangely for her to perform trapeze act. When I explored it, it was in terrible disrepair and I did find a Japanese sun drawn on the wall where they kept the prisoner. Also some Japanese symbols which I presented to someone familiar with the Japanese language...they said they had never seen these symbols...at least they didn't know what they meant. Woman from NY must have had a lot of money as she bought it for a song (something ridiculous like $1,000.00) then invested probably a small fortune into refurbishing it. She did a very nice job. It was included in a book about secret underground tunnels. I tried to find an opening to any tunnels, but was unable to find such openings. I did find a connection to the Pythian name....some kind of Catholic Knights organization. The information about the caves in this area and the fungus they are carrying was in our local newspaper. Some of these caves are in my neighborhood, but I have not seen any sick animals. One cave close to us filled with red clay several years ago. They performed a clean-up, but never gave a reason for this mess. This area is very sensitive because of the carst topography and I have been involved in several activist manuvers to prevent building in some areas. Consider we are in the middle of everywhere geographically. I think this would be a valuable location if sea levels were to rise. My father (Navy man) told me to never leave and he hoped we would not have a huge influx of people to keep the area a desirable place to live, which it is.

I think Jessee Ventura is a gross, uneducated, big mouth. But Gosh, do I like the guy. this inteview bennycog is just outstanding for the regular folk. And he can stand up to the interviewer. You do have to be gross, big mouth to stand up to these kind of interviews.

I just did not like what he did to Icke.

Yeah wasn't it? I would like to know the official story as to what the hell that place is. And how did they just drive right in????? And what were they hearing in that cave?! It was shocking because we know exactly what it is and what its for. After watching it I was thinking... how do the people in there know that the super uber elite of the elite haven't got 'exterminate buttons' for entire facilities like that... in that when and if D day comes they don't get in there and get terminated along with the rest? Guarantee?
Also if people know where their facilities are what's going to stop people from digging them out as well? I can see that it would be very easy for the public to get rallied against them and instead of turning on each other they would turn on them instead.

I just read these links. The second one about the white rabbit cave explorer is in stark contrast to the figure we see in the episode... he's a huge skeptic? what? If I had to choose between the two I would have to believe the one where we see a person in the flesh and what they say on film, because that is straighforward, and the person in the thread isn't necessarily the same person as on camera.

And the underground facility's official purpose is "Springfield Underground eh".
A convenient point of contact for millions of tons of food and supplies being brought in by civilian and public businesses???? A perfect cover. Then onto the rail system [and the rest] to any underground facility in the country and even the world.

It's TV. I am sure it was staged. Bill was kind enough to give us an inside scoop on that kind of stuff. He and Kerry had a staged "interaction" for their show too.

There are people whose jobs depend on making sure something has to be staged. It's a very special talent.
