Loving it that Vishnu is back. Been thinking about the little rascal, sending him 'Vishnu go home' vibes.
Emily spends about half her time outside, the other half inside. I try to have her spend days outside, then nights inside, and sometimes go out calling her to come in. A sync, hubby was just saying this morning, I should start training the cat by ringing a little brass bell when she comes in and gets fed, so she'll associate that with coming in ... and perhaps come in when I ring the bell. I said, 'Like Pavlov's cat?'

Oh yeah, that would work. Pfffftttt! We had a laugh about it.

And thanks Ulli, for the Pluto info. It's good to see your astrology musings. Pluto is a tough planet, always turns me upside down, even moon Pluto squares that are short lived, are intense for me. But good in the end.

It's my younger son's birthday today, and I'm making a nice but light dinner for him. And a lemon cake.

Tomorrow being New Year's Day, I'll make black eyed peas with kombu, turnip greens, a black iron skillet of cornbread with a crispy crust. The guys will probably make some kind of meat, which I'll leave to them.

I quit many times. In the end I saw the enemy more clearly, which helped me win the war.
He showed up while I'd be standing in line at the cashier in my local supermarket...
where they had cigarettes for sale in an overhead acrylic shelf. Once I knew that I had to be strong at those moments it helped me conserve energy.
That, and friends visiting me for coffee, and offering me one of theirs.
But at those moments I had help from spirit...one puff and I had to run to the bathroom and vomit.

I had to quit smoking cann-i-bus so started ciggys bout 5 years ago... hated them so started dipping. I like the flavor and taste. However... going through all that I have with my pops, I think I'll stop.

Its not the cravings that make me crazy, its the detox. I thought i was going crazy earlier, rageing mad over nothing, knowing its nothing, and yet the feelins still there.

I wonder how much of it is from the nicotene and how much is coming off all the other sh!t they put in there....

I'm just back from the hospital with some good news. The antibiotics treatement is finally working and the doctors are confident in a back to normal. Now this peritonitus thing is a very nasty thing with several possible complications. But, we are so happy to have this news. Still a long way to go, I think still 10 days hospital, but I feel we will take her home alive and kicking. Thank you all for your help and a happy new year to all of you! I'll keep you updated.

Hi Thunder, i used nicotine gum to help me stop smoking-and weaned myself slowly from this.I found the combination of nicotine and chewing (still involves the mouth) a better option than others.
