Silly me. I thought being up since 2 AM had something to do with it. Coffee is delicious. I had some made. Still falling asleep. I do work on the other side too. A lot of that going on lately with many of us.

I was once friends with a Swiss actor by the name of Oliver Tobias...not very well-known.
He was having a bad day during a rehearsal for the musical Hair in which he took part, back in the sixties.
And just as he was going to walk off the stage to quit and was arguing with the director,
the great Russian dancer Rudolph Nureyev walked into the otherwise empty auditorium,
and joined the director in his argument.
And when Oliver Tobias insisted "I can't, I just can't!!" Nureyev said to him with authority, Russian accent an' all:
Then you must prrretendddd!!"

Not to place a wedge between Ulli and Carmody but in answer to my musing one says the earth only, the other the entire local system. If we are talking music of the spheres I would tend to go with the latter.

I'm so slow. it took me hours, and a few trips, in between looking at and buying other stuff.

My speed reading friend who can slurp up a whole book in near minutes ....makes me feel slow.

Speedreading is my secret 2013 wish, what with this thread never letting up.

My connection is being friends with a fashion model who became a singer. She was in a long-term relationship with the artist Peter Max, and one day saw a photo of Donald Fagan, and although it was a really unflattering picture, she fell in love with him. Decided there and then to leave Peter Max, and figured by writing an album (Zazu) she would meet Donald Fagan, and so she asked Steely Dan to have a major reunion; asked Donald Fagan to produce her album for her, and the rest of the band to back her.

In 1986 I was on my way back to Barbados and had to overnight in New York, where I stayed with her. That way I met the whole band...in a sound studio somewhere near the river on the upper West Side.
She later told me that her relationship with Fagan fizzled after three weeks, and he went back to his rather more politically-inclined ol' lady; who he had been with for years before meeting Rosie.
She was on hundreds of magazine covers, but also a talented song writer.

A lot of famous visitors to Barbados came after me because I was the only astrologer they could find there.
Doesn't mean that I was good, but at least I got experience. this is all really a long time ago now, but I recall Rosie was particularly interested in me because my birthday was one day before Fagan's, and she wanted to know what made him tick, so she could figure out a strategy.

Now that's a set up for failure, IMO....

(personal experience here, Russian*-polish jew bits of genetics, who is a Virgo, chasing a particular woman.) (the tie in, she is/was a Capricorn) (which due to human psychology, of this one not being awarded the job of heating up the bedroom with her, causes this one to try and use the past tense in her indicated existence) (I mean, it's all over now, man. not a chance. bummer )
