araucaria, I noted your perspective, posted elsewhere (can't remember which thread) where you see the benefits of participating in sports. Good perspective. I suspect that most of us that don't watch or pay any attention to sports are rejecting the culture of passively watching sports, sports drama, and sports hero worship. If (amateur) participants in sports are not caught up in or deluded by the trappings of sport, I can see how it is good for body, mind, and soul.

Amateur participants can also be active watchers, but if nothing else (and of course there is much more to it) I fail to understand how so many people recommending all kinds of detox reject the wholesome effect of breaking into a sweat now and again which eliminates toxins for the price of a bottle of water.

Dennis, can you briefly explain what is the job description of a mod?

- How long were you one?
- Do you have to train?
- Does it require technological skill/training?
- What kind of time commitment does it take?
- Do mods have a short life span being a mod because of the responsibility to deal with so many personalities?
- What percentage of people would you say didn't respect your decisions? Are they mostly repeat offenders?
- Were there many paid infiltrators on the forum?
- What if you are not interested in a thread, do you still monitor it?
- Did you ever run into a problem with someone that has authority issues?
- Are you expected to log in a certain number of hours?
- How important is it for the community to be a part of reporting of
- Have you ever had to give a 10 day vacation to someone?
- Did the new people stay in close contact with you for support?

Interesting questions .

• People have been mods for a few weeks to years.
• You can go more or less active, or return to normal membership, anytime you want.
• Hours are totally at the mods whim, from zero hours to lots (such as myself.)
• Mods get to do which ever tasks interest them, and ignore the rest.
• The mods mostly communicate via a Skype text chat group, and via posts and threads on specific matters, kept in a sub-forum not visible to others.
• Some get more into the technical details of thread and post merging and editing, and some don't.
• A major task that involves most mods is reviewing the applications of prospective new members.
• A few mods routinely check the Reported posts or incoming email to staff, though more often it is myself checking the Reports, and Ilie checking the email.
• No mods have died yet, but I cannot promise eternal life to all past and present mods.
• We don't know who's a paid infiltrator -- no one has ever raised their hand and acknowledged being one.
• If a mod isn't interested in a thread, or would rather not deal with a member, they let someone worry about it.

Being a mod is entirely volunteer, so we can only appreciate what mods choose to do, not demand something else or more of them, and it's important to keep the "back room" a pleasant place to drop by.

A major benefit of being a mod is the ongoing contact, on a more frequent basis, with some of the neatest people I've ever known, scattered about the world, of quite diverse natures, but all with considerable talents of one kind or another.

It was, of course, tongue-in-cheek, and a playful way of dealing with all the talk of banning that was going on at that time and just before (I think I was a mod back then, and there was lots of forum talk about banning, lots of energy given to it, but really only a handful of people banned.)

But I'll take this opportunity to say to Bill:

Hey Bill, this thread may be good for the occasional snippet from you about what's going on in your local sphere, without the attendance and follow-up "pressure" of starting a thread. (This is more casual.) You're a very interesting person (two pots of coffee, at least hahahahah), and it would be good to hear from you in this venue.

That rating system isn't mine, it's Bill's, or said better, it is one of the ways that Bill has expressed whether someone seems to be a good fit with Avalon. That's why I laughed referencing it. Bill has mentioned a couple of times (usually when someone behaviorially devolves and gets vacationed or booted) that when people are allowed to join in as a poster/member at Avalon that they seem interesting enough to sit down and have a cup of coffee with. So, "a pot of coffee" is quite a compliment. I'd happily fire up (at least) a second pot of coffee with Bill.

Just got back home, from driving husband to the nearest town to pick up our other car from the mechanic. Problematic car, which is an ancient BMW 750 LSi with a 12 cylinder engine. Everything works, but there are constant problems with the spark plugs. So while he went inside I decided to wait a little longer before heading back home, in case the Beemer didn't start. And suddenly my husband calls me out to meet the mechanic and his wife. This guy works out of his humble home garage, and is himself really humble looking, like a bean farmer, and so is his wife. But he is obviously a genius when it comes to fixing complicated engines; I could see from the Range Rovers and high range BMWs parked there. So his clients trust him. So I found out that this guys son was on a beach one day and met his now wife, a girl from Switzerland who was vacationing in Costa Rica. And when he married her, he found out that she was a billion dollar heiress of multinational pharmaceutical family fortune, (Roche) and is now living in a mansion in Switzerland. His parents were obviously not even allowed to go to the wedding, but told me they might be going there this year. Cinderella story reversed.

I hope that this old couple will get the royal treatment when they go there, they told me that they are a bit intimidated at the prospect, knowing how perfectionistic the super-rich who live in Switzerland are.

On my way back down into my valley I passed mangey street dogs, and walking indigenous coffee pickers in their Wellington boots which they need to wear in the fields as a protection against snakes. Wondering what the Roche clan would think of all this. Nothing here is as manicured as the Swiss Alps.

She decided to back out because she felt too uncomfortable with the richissime way of doing things. You know...something is going to blow 'wide open' very soon in an unimaginable beautiful and exponential way. This direct/indirect help I keep speaking of regarding each of our own 'higher ups'. What we are doing in the roots and wings matters of things that really matter now is so instrumental in helping this along moment by moment. I have been doing many things myself moreso than usual, quietly behind the scenes and also setting myself up by speaking out...and what I speak up about is not new at all...we may each be simply setting up decoy after decoy with higher help so that this energy of unforeseen and unforetold magnificent magnitude can play out, So simply keep doing what we can do through each of our own heart's mind and active manifestation in the here and now. It boggles my mind why someone has not simply gotten a massive output of instant information out there that has put some practical inventive things to work for themselves and everyone out there...like running a small home with Tesla/Leedskalnin more or less non-stop power completely off the grid. James from ECETI put it out there while I was living there and helping out inviting any 'tinkerer' with this knowledge to come to the ranch and get it working there and show the world in a very thought out clandestine and then instant exposure way. I am talking about this here and now because I feel it is about to happen and cannot be stopped this time. I feel there are cluster groups already doing this and keeping it quiet for now, I also feel that we are going to get an instant upgrade someway somehow very soon because we are going to get direct access to the advanced technology that is already at our fingertips but is completely hidden and kept from us. I was prompted to share this openly this morning for some reason. I have a strong feeling our energy of seeing this occurring very soon is in fact a catalyst for it occurring very soon. And I understand many here in the Village understand that but I wanted to put it right out here in front of everyone. We are right there...something is going to push it through any moment. I understand again that many of you have been doing this somehow, someway...but...
Can we really give a Village push to this...each in our own way together?
Maybe it is simply pedal to the metal time with this explosion of information and putting it to use now, Here and Now...NO money down...just put it out there and change the world and upgrade the upgrade we are now experiencing beyond all logical and comprehensive 3d convoluted bindings!

My thoughts, exactly. Yet despite that it can sometimes work out. As was the case of a former in-law of mine, whose parents owned a hotel and she worked at the reception desk. One day a guest who was an heir the Marks and Spencer family fortune fell in love with her. They have been married for more than 30 years. Both his parents who used to live in Switzerland, London and the South of France have now passed away, leaving him with a massive fortune. He built himself a mansion with the funds he raised from just one sale... get this: a coffee table object his parents had owned.
They have an endless amount of treasures, which all need to be maintained in good condition, ...amongst them many multi million dollar Impressionist paintings. His wife is mostly concerned about animal rights. Always has been a true dog lover, and is still her old self. Two sons from that marriage, very sweet boys, now in their late twenties.

So for those like me who have no realized telepathic ability or 'friends in high places', there is little to do but become aware and not buy into the programming? I am not calling Truman or anyone else into question here; I'm sure the deficiency is mine, and I'm probably missing something. Just a comment from me regarding this line in your post that you do not have 'friends in high places'

You do, we all do....and the gate is wide open now for connection more so than ever...talk to them.

Do you have loved ones that were especially important to you that have passed on?
Do you have very close friends that you honored and bonded with that have passed on?

Connect to anyone you honor and respect and would take suggestions from that are on the other side...they do not have to be family or friends...just someone that means something to you.

Animal spirits too...that are special to you.

You have friends in high places that are connected to friends in high places, try to connect to them your own way when out in nature or meditating or however and wherever you find peace and quiet for yourself. Talk to them as though they were there with you and ask about these things or 'any'thing you want or need to.

Me too. And even if we can't, his scatterings of posts on the forum are refreshing, like a good cup of coffee.
He is doing a fine balance between alerting people to prospective danger but also helps them maintain an even keel...
as there still are a lot of people who want to hear it from the horse's mouth that things will be alright.

Paula, thanks so much for the answer to my "prayer". Thinking about it, you had already directly communicated a way to heighten my sensitivity (which is a better way of saying what I was hoping for) earlier that day (decalcifying the pineal video) before I even asked. Then you went further, and made yourself clear and showed me more in the more in the direct answer to my gripe or whatever you call it.

It was so synchronistic, I am up to season 10 on Stargate SG-1, at the point where the "lower" level false god parasites (goo-ahol or however you say it, Apophis and Hathor and Anubis and such)) have been defeated, though the plot arch has moved on to a spirtual war, where the "ascended beings" come in to play. Apparently some beings from a different galaxy that feed off of worship from lower beings (the Orai) had learned to ascend--though obviously they are more like archons/demons than what you first of think of as "ascended"--they had learned most of the secrets of the galaxy and how to transcend and manipulate the physical...as has their enemy, the "ancients", the ascended beings that inhabit our galaxy, at first portrayed as the "good guys", angel types, who had been a theme throughout the show since the first time the anthropogist/archeologist/spiritual character that often takes the "Christ" role, Daniel Jackson died the first (of many) times. He ascended, and learned that even on that higher plane, there's some sort of heirarchy and rules...or you get sent back--the biggie being non-interference with 3D beings affairs.

Rambling again...but my point is, Daniel Jackson goes to Atlantis seeking a weapon "Merlin" (one of the ancients, who apparently broke the non-interference rule so "descended") created that can kill ascended beings. He figures out that the girl pretending to be the holographic interface of the city's database (the ancient's knowledge) is actually Morgan La Fay (this killed me, brought me back to reading my boys the "Magic Treehouse" books), an ascended being that was bending the non-interference giving Daniel cryptic/incomplete clues.

Sooo...he gets fed up, calls her out, points out that THEY (ancients) will be effected if the Orai take over, and basically say: I'm sick of this cryptic crap and your non-interference rule! I know you are there, I know that you have the information we need, and I know that those "above" you can hear me too...let this one slide, for all of us--cuz once they kill us they will go after you...well Morgan being empathetic and kinda Christ-like (you sacrifice your ascenced existence by "helping" lower beings) in her own way, starts to give him the direct answer...of course to be sucked away--prevented at the last minute.

Valla says "well, we kinda know where it is now"...and DJ goes "yeah, we know something else too: they will not help us. We are on our own".

...I dunno, to me it was a chilling synchronicity, I couldn't believe THAT was the episode that came up last night. It kind of locked in everything Paula said (which I already knew), but also made me realize that there are those out there doing what they can, in the way that they can, I guess. And instead of hoping some angel appearing and saying: do this to open your "3rd eye", I learned to appreciate angel WCBD sharing the list of things I can do to take responsibility for the calcified pineal situation and empower myself.

I was just kinda whining, in that I look around at all the people with the innate ability to just SEE and HEAR and FEEL and even communicate directly with beings I can not directly experience in any way. A little perspective though: not one that I know in the real world is without some SEVERE trauma or extremely abused early life experience. So I guess be careful what I wish for? I dunno, I still wanna see a ghost, to hear the voice of an angel, to feel the healing warmth of a kind spirit, to get a good look with my own eyes at some weird animal creature from another dimension!

I guess whining is not the word...I was fishing for clues, hints, help, advice...and like Valla says in that same episode (when they are getting frustrated by the cryptic answers Morgan started giving): it never hurts to ask! So thank you thank you thank you Paula, and i hope you continue to refrain from your claimed desire to not "give advice"...you have too much knowledge (love/truth) not to share...

araucaria, I noted your perspective, posted elsewhere (can't remember which thread) where you see the benefits of participating in sports. Good perspective. I suspect that most of us that don't watch or pay any attention to sports are rejecting the culture of passively watching sports, sports drama, and sports hero worship. If (amateur) participants in sports are not caught up in or deluded by the trappings of sport, I can see how it is good for body, mind, and soul.

Thank you Dennis, that's right. Amateur participants can also be active watchers, but if nothing else (and of course there is much more to it) I fail to understand how so many people recommending all kinds of detox reject the wholesome effect of breaking into a sweat now and again which eliminates toxins for the price of a bottle of water.
