The alka thyme will knock his cold right out. Have him gargle with it a few times, this evening, about an hour apart. When he goes to bed, put some on a washcloth so he's breathing in the fumes, maybe put some more on the rag if you happen to get up in the night. Gargle, morning and night, just a tiny bit, a half ounce or so, until it's cleared up totally. It's good treatment, and preventative, for any respiratory issues. With the heat going, my own little one is invariably congested when I get up in the morning, and I put it on the rag, and he is invariably clear when he gets up an hour or so later.

For those who are not drinking iced coffee this morning (brrrrrrrrr!)

Today it is off to the city, this is turning into an every Friday occurrence. Poor M, triggers are multiplied with another person in the house. It does take a bit of getting used to, though we are all tickled to have him.

Please send love and healing to Little One today. He started having a cough yesterday, not much really. But overnight, with the cold air penetrating the walls, he has become croupy and sounds like his chest is congested something awful. I have to send him to school, because it is the lesser of two evils. Keeping him in the car for five hours wouldn't be good, either. I'm sending Angels with him, and if I had time this morning I would do some reiki, too. This time, it looks like I will have to depend on my Village Family.

    Thank you...Much Love,

On it! M is sold on the alka thyme...taking a small bottle with her in the car this morning, and to use while she is gone. I can't believe how well this stuff works... Little One breathed it in from a rag on a visit a while back and is sold on it too. I guess I didn't think of it this morning in my groggy state.

    Thanks, PL...and Villagers

    Quit Smoking Tip:

There is a natural herb you can try called lobelia extract, it comes in liquid form. Give it a shot.

Drink 5 to 20 drops of lobelia extract mixed with 3 to 4 ounces of water on the morning of your first smoke-free day. You can repeat this treatment two to three times a day. Lobelia is the herb that will most help you manage nicotine cravings, so have plenty of it on hand. It will not make you sleepy, but it does taste rather bitter.

Between lobelia doses, drink catnip tea. Put two teaspoons of dried catnip in 8 ounces of boiling water and steep for about 15 minutes. Catnip is mild in flavor and will help to take the edge off during your first three days without cigarettes. It can also help you ride out stomach upset.

During the day, keep Korean ginseng capsules handy and take a 500-milligram dose once or twice a day. Korean ginseng will help your mind stay focused.

    Good Luck!

    I smoked a pack+ a day for about 10 years.

Tried to quit many times and about 20 years ago or so simply "got lucky" ... one of the hardest things to do.

Wish I had more specific advice but the bottom line is that if that is what you want then never give up.

I found success, using this...which basically was reinforcement for the mindset I knew i needed to be able to quit:

It is the mindset he describes that you need, without it, you will just be engaging in battle...

I guess the "Good luck" wish here relates not so much to whether it works or not,
but with first finding stuff like that here in the outback of Costa Rica.

Next week I promise I will take Yukondiva to a health food store in town and we will hunt for it.
My suggestion for now is to just do a cold turkey stop.

I swear I switched time-lines somewhere down the line...I was going through some old Horus-Ra posts, and my memory is that I didn't even notice the thread until page 50 or so...but somehow I posted on page 13??

I've had a headache all day (rare for me to ever get one).

My girl had a (positive, finally) prophetic dream, where she met some of my family that she has yet to meet on the physical plane, and found assurance that we are on the right track.

I've discovered this "trillion dollar coin" concept...which I guess is the answer to falling off the "fiscal cliff"? I was curious how the FC meme was going, I have learned to stay away from econ/politics crap (perhaps that is root of headache?)...but people throwing trillies around peaked my interest...ugh, now I just want to un-know!!

Today has just been surreal. Here & now I found some comfort in the here & now...

I was on the Horus Ra thread myself, for a while. Had to ask myself why I would need that info at all, since I knew all along that my work here on earth was not along those lines. Neither in tracking down the members of those groups, nor in being the one who informs the world of their existence. I am certain there are others whose soul contract is about exposing and eradicating them, and who are therefore far more courageous than I.
Where focus goes, energy flows, and sure enough, after a short time of reading those pages I started to manifest unpleasant experiences. My job is about inspiring people to try and tap into their latent creativity, and find that occupation that they most enjoy, and drop out of the rat race, and leave unfulfilling jobs that make them feel miserable. Instead define exactly their vision and hold it until it becomes their reality.
So even in that we have choice, and a calling.

I don't know that it is good to completely avoid it, leave it to "someone else". It is not about courage...even learning about "darkness" is a bringing of light. It is true that it manifests if you dwell on it too much or let it take over your thought process, but you cannot appreciate the whole of existence without at least seeing (if not actively engaging) the whole

I found balance when Waky pointed me here.

It feels to me that this thread and that one are the "avalonian poles", which all threads the other threads fall in a scale in between...heh, I like that idea:

    THE POLES OF AVALON:

    Thank you...Much Love,

the ionization or electrical polarity of the air can wreak havoc. If a woodstove, as well, or whatever, the electrical charge and particle count, as a pair, can wreak havoc.

I use large (low ozone production) ionizers, to bring a nice negative ion charge state - to the air.

I find it nicely removes any tenancy toward stuffed heads and sinus clogging issues.

Dry heat and dry air, as a combination, will result in a non natural positive ion charge in the local in house air, thus the requirement for quality low ozone ionization of the air. Possibly combined with a really good humidifier.

For me,and my experiences..if he air is dry and heated, and my eyes are burning, throat begins to hurt, eyes going red, feeling stressed in strange way.......static charge everywhere..

Then I turn on an ionizer..and all that goes away. (but the dry air remains, thus a humidifier)

Good morning, I know I am new but I need help. I have smoked since 11 yrs old ( I am 47) and today I want to quit. I am asking for your thoughts to be directed towards my goal. I know a collective conciousnus exist. I am ready to let go of this useless habit and you can help. Thank you to all the people who have welcomed me to Avalon, I have found my family. Lots of love and Thanks
Hi Yukondiva! Welcome! I want to quit smoking too.
I've noticed from my last few attempts to quit, that sometimes I have will power and other times I just don't.

So what is it that governs will power?

I wonder if the Astrologers on here could help us?
Is there a particularly good time to quit smoking Astrologically speaking?
(tomorrow always seems like a better time than today lol)

I'm asking the Angels (Here and Now) to increase your will power 1000 times!

Once a decision is made to pursue a certain course one has to ask oneself who is it that can disobey such a decision later on in the day or week.
Is it lack of memory? Sureless not. Or is it lack of awareness?
What I first learnt from reading Gurdjieff's teachings is that we are made up of three centers...
    a)the instinctive,
    b)the emotional and
    c)the intellectual center.

What one does not realize is that the intellectual center which makes decisions is actually the weakest of those three.
The most powerful is the instinctive, since the survival instinct is seated there. This centre runs on automatic.
Breathing, sexual drive, sleep rhythms, digestive processes, heart beat, etc., are governed here.
The emotional center deals with preferences...such as liking or disliking certain foods.
This is also where habits come in, and smoking is one of those.
If one can use the intellect to trigger the emotional center, such as a doctor would,
when he spells out that unless one stops smoking one will lose ten years of life span. Or a partner who can't stand the smell says unless you sop, I'm leaving you...then fear becomes a strong motivator that can override the desire or habit.
But the mind by itself doesn't have enough fuel to combat habits, it needs an extra force to enter.

What works sometimes is to replace the smoking habit with some other new habit, like eating gummy bears,
but then there is that weight gain to consider.
But just getting this knowledge about the weakness of intellect can help one with designing a strategy.

P.S. ...and just as there are Archons at the denser end of the spectrum, so equally there are Angels at the opposite, lighter end, and they do respond to calls for help. Like, they might see to it that smokers stay out of one's orbit, and non-smokers start calling. it helps of course if one decides on what company one wants to keep, because company is a major factor....
