What Now?

Lots of talk here as of late, and justifiably so, about what's going on in America. As a once proud American, and one who is going to stick it out here come what may, let me tell you what I see anyway. America is gone folks, and she ain't coming back. Straight up. Watching politicians and State run media here any more, is akin to entering into cartoon land bizarro world, and of course we're supposed to take it seriously.

One way I'm looking at the situation now, is how similar it is to the devastating loss of a close loved one. The hard cold fact is that they are gone, and they are not coming back. At that point the next logical question is: "What now"?

For most, "what now" will be the ultimate moment of despair, and they will fearfully do as they are told. For the few, "what now" will be the entire reason they are here in this place and in this time, because it will represent a moment of unlimited potential.

What that potential is, I wouldn't hazard to limit with mere speculation. But one thing it is not, is "winning" or "losing" a war.

"What Now" is a state of Mind and Spirit, Creation in progress.

What is interesting and exciting is creating the best possible outcome in this scenario that we have been co-creating. Action will need to happen, but from the heart. If there is any balance that needs to be had... now is a good time to find it... before the action comes and we end up expressing form a place that is less balanced then the truth-based potential within.

Seriously though, many will not be able to leave and some will choose to stay to hold the balance. I would encourage all my friends in the US to really find the strong centre in themselves and to be the best human that they can possibly be. Things are going to get hard, and change will come whether you invite it in or not. Live in your truth, inspire others to be their best as well. Use all your talents, keep your thoughts calm and balanced. Laugh when you can, and never forget to love.

One mindset that I hope does not take hold is the mindset that says that things will fall apart, and then somehow we the people will be able to pick up the pieces and create a better system.

If we have no control over our governance now, we will have even less control when things fall apart, and the Ruling Cartels/Cabals (global or national) will control a gigantic mercenary force to make sure they stay in control - using the scarcity paradigm as well as deadly force.

I believe it is foolish to assume that life for "the 99%" will somehow magically get better just because of a collapse. The bankers made out like bandits (they are bandits) with the orchestrated crash of 1929, and they will be just fine in the crash of 2013 (or whenever they decide to "pull it.")

No freaking out here white wizard, just reading the handwriting on the wall so to speak. A good analogy would be what is the prudent thing to do when your area is under a tornado watch? Take every precautionary action, be prepared to act accordingly, and keep an eye to the sky.

I agree Dennis, that is precisely why we all need to be balanced and compassionate during these times and not reactionary. In that way we can live with our own actions, can understand ourselves and our hearts best, and be able to be caring and take effective measures without the muddy waters of fear controlling our thoughts.

I think no matter where one is in the world, no matter what the conditions, a balanced self, to know thy self is most important, more than food and water, a lack of that just causes bodily death, a lack of the other causes...well I'm not sure what the end result would be, but I dont want to find out.

I don't think the United States is going anywhere nor changing as radically as many do. I don't see it in peoples spirits to give up an give in. I'm not talking armed militia, hoarding or apocalypse.

I see them turning away from government and turning to small communities centered around common interests. There are more community gardens, public health clinics started and controlled by churches or civic groups, study groups for local changes, than I've seen in my life time. These arose out of need countered by ability and run by the skilled and willing.

Those who run from adversity are serving themselves and albeit that may be the only choice. The other choice is to connect with others and see to each others' welfare.

What do you have to give versus what do you have to lose.
