Well... it's -30C outside... -40C with windchill. This lady is staying home and hibernating! No way am I going outside to freeze my butt at the bus stop. Besides, I have a sore throat. Too many people coming in to work sick infecting everyone else around. I have my oregano oil, echinacea & hydrastis tincture, mineral solution, hot herb tea. I'm all set to get better quickly.

Can we have a day at the beach instead ?

No beach here, unless you drive for two hours.
But just show up, I could find you a place for less money than you are paying for your heating bill.

15 C in the mornings, climbing to 22 C later in the day.
Anything under 19 C I consider cold.
Why anyone would live further north than Florida in the winter is beyond me.

The good thing about this kind of weather is when we hit the -5C again, it will seem warm. Hehe... strange creatures we are. And by the time we hit the 15C, we will be getting the summer clothes ready.

I always said that I should have been born in the south somewhere. But then, I would have to deal with snakes, big bugs, hurricanes. It would take some getting used too. The cold, I know. Stay out of it is the best medecine. I am always happy to hear of great efforts taken to get the homeless off the streets and given warm beds. Makes me sleep better. I am grateful for every person doing this kind of work today. Angels everywhere...

Do you recall the picture I posted earlier? Well, turns out I've been invited on a trip to London in a week and half with her and her friend (the other housemate). It's so nice to finally be able to 'be myself' around people my age - they just don't care what people think of them; they're true to themselves. To think I've only known them for a week, as well! I've obviously had quite a positive effect :D

Seems I fit in far more with Spanish culture than I do with the British one, either that or they're both as mad as hatters, like me.

And their food is awesome.

Atoms represent a field where quantum particles can come and go. The element of the atom creates parameters. Atoms are composite 'things'.

This is what I'm asking about. These are pretty "solid" statements with little explanation. "Composite 'things'"? That doesn't imply that the quantum particles are not, does it? Are they "the elements of the atom" which "creates the parameters"?

The water thing is just incorrectly re-transmitting wordplay of a novelist without the level of understanding of the fundamental nature of matter that you have...it was a play on the fact that our vehicles are made mostly of water. I get it, our consciousness/self are not out vehicles, sorry for the confusion

Ahem. I do sort of have another question. Y'all have encouraged this remember, hahaha. I guess I will ask it here, and now.

So, if the ego is what leaves the body during general anesthesia, is that what also leaves the body during an obe? I think of the ego as an individual consciousness that is related to this individual body, so when there is talk of transcending it that seems to mean getting past this ego to reconnect with the All. I've sort of had experiences to this effect. I have not had an obe, but I do believe in them (how could you not?) Maybe the consciousness this anesthesiologist is talking about is the ego...

That was my one question. Of course there are more (lol)... Indeed Spirit is Us. It is the Magic, the Light, the...(trying to think of generally accepted terms here) Unexplainable Explanation...the Mystery, the Energy, the Unity of Oneness while the Creator of Duality for experience. I don't personally give a rat's where it is located, or not located, in the body or the brain. But, I do find it interesting and actually it entertains me to hear theories and ideas. (That and a half a beer...really, really cheap date.) If I understand correctly, the pineal gland is the third eye, and allows for seeing into other realms (ghosts, spirits, beings, dimensions...), but I would suppose Spirit does not confine itself to a gland. Living from the Heart means a helluva lot more than just loving...it is allowing Spirit to guide and taking the opportunities available to intend for the Highest good in any given situation, but I would suppose Spirit does not confine itself to an organ. Of course, on the other hand, Spirit resides in All things.

This leads me to something a friend has told me repeatedly. Everything is energy first. I'm thinking it is possible, then, for Spirit to manifest as an energy body, and push through the physical body, like two images superimposed, and possibly our physical sensations are actually energy interacting through the physical body...right through it.

Oh, Lordy, what have I done? Look what you all have encouraged to happen, lmao...

Of course, on the other hand, Spirit resides in All things.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, Paula.

Unless someone can spend extra time on the forum, moderating does take some of your time (down in the engine room) that would have been spent up on the deck, helping to steer the ship or hanging out with other passengers. Or, maybe a better analogy is the difference between spending time behind the camera or in front of the camera. Both perspectives/undertakings are valuable, and you have to know yourself well enough to know which feels right.

Paula also recently started a thread, We Are Family, that is really some of the public side of what moderators do (make people feel welcome and encourage them to share), and she already dedicated herself to that task. Like the optometrist's "do you see better now, {click}, or now?", I think Paula quickly figured out that she was already seeing her role clearly.

You have to know I do, I don't know about all that being Wisdom, but one thing I have learned is to follow the Leader, haha. That's how I know what to share Here...and Now.
