Yes what a fight today terrible withdrawls. Am I strong enough? I know the dark bags are dissapearing from under my eyes, my breathing is better but i am going thru hell of withdrawls cold and hot flashes, extreme mood swings.....If I didnt have an audience I would be smoking, coughing, craving...

There was a red-tailed hawk hiding in the tree in our yard yesterday much like this one but tucked in at a branch junction...
I did not see it but felt it and located it when I looked up...he hung around for a while then went on his way doing some hovering before departure into the skies.

Hi Yukon Diva,

I've never smoked. Good thing, cuz I have an addictive personality. One piece of advice: don't turn to Ben & Jerry's. That comes from personal experience. And I won't post a picture because I don't want it to be a trigger. I marvel at anyone who kicks or replaces any kind of habit.

1inMany, being sensitive, got hit by the stench of a landfill.

There are some people who have fixed ideas, and also delusions.
Preserving a self image at all cost, no matter what the effect this has on a larger group,
can then become detrimental to the group, and sometimes even to the self,
even if that fixed idea is about being strong, healthy, perfect.

Since this is not 1inMany's way of being at all she got shocked by what she felt there.
Maybe I'm wrong. Open to corrections.

You know what, Ulli? I think you're right. I was reading a couple of Rocky's posts there and learned that he is an empath. You all know that when I first found the Village I was just learning about being an empath myself. Sometimes, I honestly forget.

It is something I am, not something I do or something I want. It has made my life difficult at times, and for the past year I have tried really hard to "overcome" this empath thing. It's hard to go into a public place without walking away with an emotion or two or several that I didn't take in with me. I forget the same thing happens here. I have cursed this "gift" about a billion times and been truly thankful for it...a couple. Something I need to look into. So, now I have my answer to the question about feeling sick, and it wasn't where I was looking.

I also forget that being "sensitive" does not necessarily mean being an emotional wreck.

You have really helped. Thank you

Yup. Wezz Cancers. Weepers and Lovers and Deep Thinkers. And don't mess with Family. (Not saying others don't. Gulp. Feeling like I've got to add a lot of qualifiers today.)

May I say that it's awkward on these threads because there's such a blending of Family at the Village and there, too.

Modwiz, I don't have words. But I do Love you and I hesitate to say that because I get (paraphrasing badly, these are not my words) we are avatars and passwords and one dimensional to many. But, I just do. And that's not New Age-y brainwashing.

While studying the Wingmakers materials there was talk of who was the leader of this huge star fleet they were discussing.
The answer was "An artist"
Only artists have the sensitivity to really guide.

But like the biblical Joseph of the multi-colored dream coat they get thrown into the well by their jealous brothers
who go home and lie to dad that Joseph was the victim of an animal attack.

But Joseph is rescued from the well, and taken to Egypt, and when the Pharaoh has a nightmare only Joseph knows how to interpret his dream, thus securing his position in the royal household and cabinet.

Individual Villagers are all like Joseph, and some are only now being pulled out of that well.
Much is yet in store for us all.
