And here is a paragraph in Gurdjieff's own words. I'm not putting all of it, as that would be overload.
But for the musicians who come here this might be of interest....

"I will cite you one example only -- music. Objective music is all based on inner octaves. And it can obtain not only definite psychological results but definite physical results. There can be such music as would freeze water. There can be such music as would kill a man instantaneously. The Biblical legend of the destruction of the walls of Jericho by music is precisely a legend of objective music. Plain music, no matter of what kind, will not destroy walls, but objective music indeed can do so. And not only can it destroy but it can also build up. In the legend of Orpheus there are hints of objective music, for Orpheus used to impart knowledge by music. Snake charmers' music in the East is an approach to objective music, of course very primitive. Very often it is simply one note which is long drawn out, rising and falling only very little; but in this single note 'inner octaves' are going on all the time and melodies of 'inner octaves' which are inaudible to the ears but felt by the emotional center. And the snake hears this music or, more strictly speaking, he feels it, and he obeys it. The same music, only a little more complicated, and men would obey it."

Well, I listened to bits of all the videos on this page. The was a time in my life when I could deeply relate to this music,
All of it. Now I'm too old. Or rather, I have moved past the emotional states that music like this gave me relief and healing for. Temporary healing. Call it 'angst', which, by the way, is the German word for fear.

Anyway, not trying to criticize at all, here. except I wasnt agreeing with the little cigarette lighting part in one of the videos; I would have thought that such glamorizing of an unnecessary habit is a bit passé in the 21st century.
All of life's epochs have their own special neediness and remedies.
But growth means change, and I want to find music that is lasting and has an effect on spirit, yet is not particularly tied to any culture, nor religion, nor tradition.

Fair enough.

Not sure which you refer to ... but to want "lasting music effecting spirit not tied to culture, religion or tradition" ... I expect narrows it down dramitically.

Mine was last ... and live ... don't remember a lighted cigarette ...

... perhaps an anchor performance ...

As I said...there is room for all. But the search for the highest, the best, the most sublime, needs to find expression, too.
The opposite end of those twin girls and their electronic harps, where the only frontiers that were breached were those of bad taste. (Yeah, I know, in the eyes of some that would be a subjective statement, probably.)

I just got the news that the 17 year old daughter of a coworker of Mike's is missing. She went to her boyfriend's house last night, about 15 houses away from home. Left the boyfriend's house, never made it home. They are working on an Amber Alert, if you know what that is.

What is it with the last few days ... full moon sure but that happens every month.

My oldest son (16) last night told my wife to "f off" during an exchange (I was not present).

Small potatoes to some but my son(s) have never ever been disrepectful like that before and it was quite a shock to my wife and later me upon hearing about it.

This video finally answered my question about starseed souls volunteering to incarnate into human form vs. genetic manipulation, hence offspring has “upgraded DNA”. It’s not either/or, it’s both. How'd I not know that? And yet, I DID know it.

UPDATE: @Ulie - "I was following Dr. Boylan's forum for years, but quit when his predictions became too wild, and when nothing, but nothing, materialized. Strong suspicion that he become a victim of psi-ops."

If I'm recalling correctly, Bill Ryan says the same thing. My concern with him was that he gathered lots of kids to test their abilities. I'd not want my child on that "To-Do-List."

For all of you that are not tone deaf like myself, you may consider this to be outrageous. It's a have you heard about this? Dr. Wayne Dyer was the one to introduce this concept to me, from Dr. David Hawkins' work.

Dr. David Hawkins’ material is based on levels of consciousness from 0-1000. All levels above 200 are constructive expressions of power rather than force. For muscle testing to work one must be 200 or above which a level of integrity.

I don’t agree with some of it. The one that I didn’t buy into was that women couldn’t reach levels of 1000 because their physical bodies couldn’t handle that much energy. Also, IMO, today, we are different because dare I say downloads/upgrades and sun enhanced. I stopped following him, but I understand his calibrations have changed. I didn't research it any further. My guess is for the reasons I mentioned.

This is a calibration tool through muscle testing, I learned from Dr. David Hawkins’ materials. These days, I go with the gut/heart/inner knowing, etc. The gentleman goes over at least 11 techniques. The first technique was the one I used.

Hi! Avaloners!!

After leaving Oregon on a wing and a prayer, I miraculously made it to Colorado. It seemed quite a harsh landing and it was more than a little disorienting to know only one person in a brand new area.

ThAnks to the help of some very supportive Avvaloners, I survived the transition. I had zero income for a gap in time and I wasn't sure I could stay where I landed. Frightening.

Now I'm over the hump. I've made peace with my friend, and we actually have discovered some past life connections and we deeply care about one another. Also, I finally got my meager unemployment income flowing, and I can start catching up on my bare necessities like my phone bill.

I haven't been on the Internet much due to moving adjustments and limited accessibility. But I just wanted to check in and say hi and thanks again to the angels here on this forum. Immense blessings to all!!!!
