Default CBC comes clean on media bias in health related news

I found an excellent article highlighting some issues with the way news, particularly health related news, is presented to the public by the media.
    Excerpt:

... what if a study found that most studies end up being wrong? Would that study make the news? Well, it happened. A paper with the startling title: "Why Most Biomedical Findings Echoed by Newspapers Turn Out to be False" was published a few weeks ago by a French research group. And no, that study did not make it into the headlines.

The researchers, lead by neurobiologist François Gonon, examined the way newspapers reported on a number of high profile studies on attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). They asked the question: do scientific claims reported in the media end up being proven true over time? Their answer: in most cases, no. Then they asked: do the media go back and set the record straight? No again.

I saw a few good and pretty much accurate reports on CBC lately. Including those about the USA. I hope they would on UFO too.

I do think something is happening there were some decided to say the truth, being a taxpayer channel.

Unfortunately or PM is cutting funding to the CBC ... but it is obvious as to why. The CBC has always prided itself on not having corporate sponsorship, and that is likely why the still have the ability to report on things that most other mass media outlets would not be allowed to. (media runs on corporate money, and they use that as pull to control the media).

I read another one that brought reality to flu death stats and exposed the blatant made up numbers that Health Canada attributes to flu deaths and tries to motivate you with to get your flu shot.

That article is a huge eye opener for some, especially to those debating flu vaccines ... I'll post that article as well soon.
