I live very close to the theater of the "Batman shooting".

Are there any questions I could answer or dirt I could dig up? I have boots on the ground and want to help, but I haven't followed this event closely (watching "The James Holmes Conspiracy" documentary on YT now to catch-up).

Not that I'm surprised...my neighbors and co-workers, like myself, live near the site of the "Dark Knight Massacre"...but that isn't stopping anyone from going to the movies or anywhere else in public out of fear, even though most are absolutely defenseless. This "tragedy" has already been forgotten and is yesterday's news especially in light of the Sandy Hook incident.

But I am still very much interested in James Holmes and what supposedly happened at the theater, especially given what seems to be a connection between everything (Columbine, Dark Knight Massacre, Sandy Hook, etc.). The theater is within 10 minutes from my door. Columbine is a slightly longer drive. Is there anything a boots-on-the-ground investigator could do at this point to help solve either of these mysteries?

Don't confuse (1) the lack of specific suggestions on what you might do there, with (2) lack of interest in understanding this and other such incidents should any more evidence or insight come out.

That's a good point Paul, the theatre shooting was thoroughly discussed over 24 pages, and seldom do threads make it that far. RampartRanger, living there gives you a front row seat that the rest of us don't have. Please do take it upon yourself to ask your own questions, and follow up on them with a video, pictures, local newspaper articles, word of mouth, etc..I guarantee you will raise eyebrows if you uncover something only some locals are privy to.

Ha! Of course now that I've said that, I do have a lingering question that concerns both recent shootings. Being that you live in Aurora, I'll stick to your locale. Surely there are honest local cops there who genuinely desire to do the "old fashioned" serve and protect thing, and who also couldn't help but noticing the glaring inconsistancies, omissions, and story changes, especially during the first couple of days after the shooting. Now if I were a cop, and knew things I shouldn't of something so horrific, I would have a VERY tough time with that.

What kept your good local cops quiet, in the face of such blatant coverups?

I figured I would have my own questions after reading through this thread but I'm only a few pages in.

Fred, I'd say the potential of losing one's job is what kept most skeptical cops quiet. I wish I knew some Arapahoe County Sheriffs or Aurora LEOs...my girlfriend's dad is a school resource officer (also a legitimate LEO) in the suburbs a few minutes south of me.

Well there you go then brother...Why not practice proper discernment, and have an honest, but tactful chat with him when the time is right?

I have. He's very open and honest about everything, but he knows nothing about the Dark Knight Massacre beyond what he saw on TV. He's not a higher up, so to speak, that knows a lot of other LEOs outside his jurisdiction.

Well this video looked interesting to me Looks like a female guard at the facility holding James Holmes posed as an inmate and gave a news interview about his condition in the jail take a look pretty bizarre. Guess what was told to the media James is boasting and knows very well what he did.
