On Tuesday, a confidential Justice Department memo was released revealing the legal
justification for the US government to conduct drone strikes on American citizens
abroad. The portion of the memo that has been getting a lot of attention is that the
government does not need evidence to justify a deadly attack. NBC first got its hands
on the white paper and now a group of 11 bipartisan senators are demanding answers
from the Obama administration. Stephen Miles, coalition coordinator for Win without
War, gives us his take on the secret drone memo.

The U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed
to be ‘senior operational leaders’ of Al Qaeda or ‘an associated force,' the memo
states

The U.S. government can do so even if there is no clear evidence that the
American targeted is engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S.
NBC reported the news after obtaining and releasing the memo

The Justice Department told MailOnline that it would not comment on the news






The White House is declining to explain its criteria for directing drone attacks
against American citizens working abroad with terrorists following revelations that
the administration requires no evidence of a pending attack to justify a strike.


'These strikes are legal, they are ethical and they are wise,' White House
spokesman Jay Carney said Tuesday.


He declined to discuss in detail a newly disclosed Justice Department memo saying
only that the target must be involved in ongoing plotting against the United States
for a strike to be justified.

My personal view is that the key to the world situation right now, is the thing that has been holding us back from co-ordinating ourselves. The mainstream media. if there was a way to have them report the true stories, apply significant pressure and have them on 'our' side, I think this could get people really moving!

Something that people should understand is that during the Iranian crisis of 1979, Jimmy Carter signed the USA into a state of emergency, which gave him executive powers that where outside of any form of control or review.

That a state of emergency needs to be extended by congress, or it is automatically ended.

That when the USA is in a state of emergency, that the US president is granted defacto dictatorial powers and has not to report actions or works to anyone or anything or any group. That the USA is in a 'state of war', and the president is authorized to anything in secret, that he may desire to do. Anything. No rules. No restrictions.

Ie, executive signing powers, the creation of black ops programs and so on. Totally off the record, Totally off the books. Legal, and according to the powers of the office of the president.

What has gone on since then, is that... as the declaration of the state of emergency ENDS, as it would need congressional approval to continue, the given president RENEWS IT, on the same day it expires.

A loophole.

Thus, every president has done this, since jimmy cater, over and over and over. this is how they are controlling the office of the president and running the black ops programs through it.

The only way to keep the public unaware, is to keep it all as black as is possible and to never ruffle the situation, regarding who is who and what is what. To leave the illusion of congress and the US government, in place, as a cover story..so they can continue..unabated.

Now, what is to be found in the presidential records, if this is true... is the one piece of evidence that has to exist.

The declarations themselves. (They last something like six weeks or similar, then they need to be renewed, as they 'end'. Thus, out of all those papers and signings is one that always comes up, like clockwork.)

They will be in the presidential record of actions.

US citizens are being killed ever day on their own soil. US home grown terrorism is a real threat, since they easily blend into the background. There is no point crying after the fact if another terrorist attack occurs, if there was inaction on the govt part.

Well, if the new legal standard definition of "self-defense" (which is what they base the right to execute the citizen overseas is) is simply that there is a guy out there that we reasonably believe has plans to harm us and to our knowledge has not changed his position.....trials for murder in our criminal courts are going to be flooded with "self-defense" cases.

This is good. We have a senator in our state trying to bring the drone business into our back yard. Seems many companies and individuals are trying to get their hands on one. We need to write to our congressmen to set up similar legislation to what Texas is doing. I like the part where those who have been imposed upon get to sue who ever was using the drone to watch them. Money talks.. nobody walks..

All these psycological thrillers we were entertained by Hollywood for the past 50yrs
are all part of the MK Ultra plan with other schemes to control the public and has
been rolling out in the last 12 yrs since 9/11.Obama is a 'orator' like Tony Blair &
Clinton they can put you to sleep with there reteric, just mouth pieces
for their masters.

Walter Bowerte 'Operation mind control' was predicting these programmes years
ago because he was involved in the cold war, when most of the present generation
