Interesting. Here is the counter argument, also from someone familiar with the technology:

As you well know, the above interview of Jay Weidner, from late 2012, has been posted twice earlier on this forum, with various interesting comments:

The key point was at the end. Whether they went to the moon or faked it doesn't matter... it's just a way of distracting the would-be conspiracy theorists and having them caught in a loop of "Did they? Didn't they?" We all should be more focussed on the crap they are getting away with now, or we will be forever reacting to their plans well after the event could have been avoided.

Perhaps only the present matters.

Bang on... and another example of "absolutist thinking" - black or white, yes or no. Extremes with only two choices. The grey area in between is what we should be looking at.

I believe we did go to the moon - with some "help" - confirmed by Werner Von Braun (and others). And some of it was also staged because TPTB obviously couldn't show us what was really up there (ie an ET presence).

Keep in mind that for many decades, NASA had a monopoly on the info being released, ie, we only had their word for it with little more for independent comparison.
