I enjoy your posts, paid attention to your story with interest and also learned something along the way. But I'm not sure how appropriate your avatar's attire is for this thread or PA -just sayin. As a woman I don't appreciate it. Of course that's just my opinion.

Hi - I never even considered her attire - just liked her clown face. I will be happy to change it asap... I guess I come from a the US where if you turn on your TV you are blasted with the lingerie football league and Victoria's Secret and all the TV shows about "sex" and stuff so I am sort of immune to it.

Also, I lived for the last 15 years in Latin America where the billboards of ladies with less clothes than this are common. Just ask Ulli, the thread creator - its like this all over the world... folks that celebrate the beauty of the human being which includes their body...

But! Because I am a team player - I will immediately change it and retire this pic to the trash bin...

WoW! I read more of the thread and also looks like I pissed off Carmody - hey, was truly unintentional... I just come from a different paradigm is all and all I considered was the clown face so didn't even think about the "clothes." I had decided to rotate a clown face each day. Found these images on Google in the image section for clowns. I got some good ones! A "clown 'o the day" pic for all us wonderful folks who somehow chose to incarnate into this lovely "clown show" called "Earth 2013."

Now that I rotated back to the lovely USofA, I realized I need a little comic relief is all.

I live 40 miles from Mexico and grew up in the culture. The upper Baja cities are a mess. But so are a lot of the US cities.

My view of this young woman scantily dressed with a clown face is that she is debasing her-self and not in the least appreciating her-self. I'm not saying everyone ought to run around with gunny sacks on either.
I wish that woman thought more of her-self.

The television is all about programming period. It's dark, morbid not intelligent at all and constantly sexualizes women, men and children. Children are sexualized too young and in the wrong way. Our current culture, where every time you turn around there is an explicit ad selling something we probably do not need or TV show is sick. Most people are programmed and in survival mode -they can't or wont think for them-selves let a lone outside of the box. We do have a choice. I can't stand it when I hear someone say, "this is just the way it is."

I've talked many many women out of becoming strippers, running drugs across the border and human beings for the drug cartels. They want to do it because the money is good. I tell them appreciate your-self and there are other ways to support your-self. I even rescued a young girl out of a brotherl in TiaJuana, Mexico a few years back. Geeze.

The pornography industry makes 6 billion dollars a year in the US alone exploiting women, men and unwilling children -the true victims. This doesn't include human trafficking.
It makes me want to vomit.

Hopefully here and now we can create something different, where the human body, spirit, soul and intelligence are embraced and appreciated.

If it was like Costa Rican advertising billboards it would be grounds for Mod intervention for sure...
whatever culture I've lived in- I've never bought into the vulgar end of it.
And Costa Rica is tame compared to Barbados, yet I find most of it offensive and awful in it's lack of style or taste.

Permissive society does not have to rub off on everyone...
some people are born with style and even an innate modesty and stay that way all of their lives.

I don't know if I am in a case of differing timelines, but I am absolutely sure I had written a post in another thread, hours ago, about justesomethingeverchanging's avatar in "petite tenue", and my post disappeared, as if it never existed - poof, disappeared.

I was saying the avatar really worked on me (brushed on a negative way) and was hoping Chester wife was not obliged to disgused in such a way and that this avatar was reminiscent of the Archons from the archons thread.

I am glad he changed it back to other clowns.

I changed to a "clown" because one of the things I "think" is that we all take ourselves too seriously (especially me) up until recently.

Also, I see this planet as nothing but one big "clown show" the way we run this planet.

If you knew me personally, were involved in my life (or I in yours) you would know the real me which happens to have emerged (thanks primarily to this forum) whole, decently resolved, quite reliable and someone who when asked to do something and I agree (which is almost always the case) I can be counted on...

I truly only considered the clown face and as soon as I saw Nora's post, I immediately changed it as I realized the other issue that someone could have with the clothes. Afterwards is when I read Carmody's post (that he felt insulted) and then ran across Flash's disliking as well. All of you folks I want to make happy and because it didn't bother me one bit to remove the pic, I did.

And now I am reading my "clown faces" in general are not liked so I am in a dilemma as I already got a visitor message from Chrsitine my new name was "scary."

If you knew me personally, you would understand a bit better and probably laugh with me about it all. But you don't. So I am going to ask that my name be changed again and I will stop with the clown faces because I don't want to lose friends over something like that.

I find it really weird though that I don't seem to understand why it would be perceived scary...

Anyways, my first step will be to change the Pic and the second step will be to ask that my poster name be changed (again). I hope I don't bug the mods too much... cause they got better things to do than this, no?

Its Funny but I never even considered the clothes... that's what blew my mind - I guess it is because I don't view anyone as an object which, of course, means women and men. I lived in Curacao for 8 years and it changed me a lot. Go to the beach for example and you almost can't find a woman with a top on. But what's even better about all that is... that no one cares. Its just being natural. So I guess I just changed and don't see those things like it seems lots of folks in "western society" seem to see them in this regard. BUT! Still, I am allowed to be a member of this forum and I appreciate that and thus, was easy to understand the views some take here and that they saw something in my clown persona especially that pic which I failed to.

So I asked Paul to change me back (Christine also asked me to change it back).

I guess having to move back to Texas and that so many folks had changed their poster names recently, I thought it was time for a change...

Anyways, I hope Paul changes it back. Hope you folks give me a pass on this one, I will try not to do something dumb like that again.

Oh, I think the mods deleted our posts as it was thread derailing anyways - I won't bring it up again.

I just got an update from Bright,
and I'm requesting that, if you can , to please

He was not yet evacuated , but maybe in 2-3 days.
The fire is now 20 km long and 16,200 ha and out of control.

He says...
"Winds tomorrow will push it in our direction but Fridays winds could slow it down and start

Here and now I am writing a paper about this for my studies in anthropology. Are you familiar with the book "Erotic innocence: the culture of child molesting" from James R. Kincaid? The book shows how much child molesting has pervaded Western culture. It is a very powerful book, very to the point most of the time, though I might add that I do not trust the author. Still it is very much worth reading! Also the documentary "consuming kids" came to mind:
