Default Stargate the disclosure series? It seems like only yesterday !!

Pick TV has been playing a lot of Scy-fy seeries , tonight 8pm they showed a
stargate episode from 1997, its a tonque in cheek episode and you can count
the conspiricy cliche jokes/references one after the other.Yet it is a good episode
and makes you wonder if they were using this series for possible disclosure
before the millenium ? Stargate was definately an insider scy -fy show with
its references to the space corps. Ancient gods reminicent of the Annunaki
Thor and the Greys and later replicants & false oracles....

    Stargate SG-1
    Season 4 Episode 11 of 22

Martin Lloyd, a conspiracy nutjob, calls up the SGC but has accurate knowledge of
the Stargate. Martin claims to own a spaceship and is dismissed as a crackpot, but
a series of incidents suggests that there may be more to his claims.

Point of No Return Hammond orders O'Neill and the team to investigate a
conspiracy theorist in Montana who claims he is an alien and in possession of a
spaceship. While SG-1 is initially sceptical it begins to appear that there is some truth to his story.

Heh, I'm half way through season two of SG: Atlantis, which is as good as SG-1 (but for no McGyver )...I've watched the entire SG-1 a few eps a night at bed time within the last year...good stuff!

The Lloyd character appears in the 100th and 200th eps, which are meta-episodes where he has a written a cheesy SG-1 series, so they are asking the "real" stargate team to provide material for the fake show.

The entire series covers nearly every single topic on this forum. Surprisingly a lot of spiritual and consciousness themes. I can't say enough about how amazing some of the ideas are. And it's pretty funny too, they try not to take them selves too seriously. If you have doubts, dig up the "science/history of stargate" thing they did between season 9 & 10...it is listed as ep 0 of season 10.

From what I've gathered, this is the only series endorsed and assisted by the Air Force. perhaps because they are portrayed as heroes, where the shady faction financed by the corporations are probably more accurate for what the military would be like if this were real.

Anyway, Netflix had it but must not have re-newed the contract, you can get both SG-1 and Atlantis on amazon prime service. I had neither Netlix nor Amzon, but the thing with those is that they let you log in to at least a half dozen devices, so if a friend or family member trusts you with their user name/password, chances are they would wanna let you take full advantage of the service.

I tried to watch with my daughter when she started collecting the dvd's.
But once I found out they where basically doing what the gov. is doing, taking control of ppl and places they had no business dealing with..
That's when I stop watching it entirely. It was to in my face, so I stopped giving it power.

SG1 and Atlantis were riddled with insider/disclosure info. That is a well known fact. What of it is disclosure and what of it is meant to deceive us in unclear... what is clear is that it was 100% to manipulate us and our future reactions.
    Well... IMHO.

Brookings institution report = they have been spoonfeeding us for decades.

Disclosure won't happen until TPTB are confident that it won't cause any societal upheavals AND they can make oodles of money by declassifying and licensing technology.

When Oprah, Greenpeace, the IMF, and the NRA all start taking disclosure seriously....Maybe we will be getting close.
Just because I took the red pill, it doesn't mean that I washed it down with the koolaid

    Fringe...Sci=Fi & Disclosure

    http://www.free-tv-video-online.me/p...d=2v6t73zw2kdr

Series 4 of fringe Science has just started. If you have not seen it before, it is
brilliant based on cutting edge science. This episode takes you back thru the main
story line of the first 3 seeries, and if you watch, it will become obvious the
ammount of material taken from the alternate community is vast, and you will
reconise all the scenarios and sub plots.....Which begs the old question are we
driving Sci/fi or is it clouding our mind to real science, or is it as I believe one
massive soup, each driving each other ! as the old 'Science of Star Trek ' predicted.

There are many other great shows at the moment and all the storylines are
stretching the immagination.Or is it drip drip disclosure coming to some sort of
    conclusion...

1.Fringe.. About parrellel worlds , The Watchers, Fringe science, phychedelic drugs/experiments...

2.Torchwood..current seeries about The three families, running Banks/media/pharma/ familier ?

    3.The Event...Deffinately about possible disclosure

4.Stargate Universe..A group of scientists/military marooned on a 'Ancients' Star ship

5.Caprica....The story of the rise of the cylons ,cybornetic intelligence.

6.Outcasts...About a colony of humans on a alien planet ,thats not as deserted as they thought.

7.Rubicon....Axed after one seeries, they got to close to exposing TPTB. (Great Show )

8.Flash Forward...Axed also possibly disclosing to much, HAARP ???

9.Sanctuary....About Abnormals and Hollow Earth..( Amanda Tapping UMMM Double Doh! )

10.V..An Actual Alien invasion...Thanks Tiga How could I forget that ...DOH !

11.Falling skies..Spielburgs Alian invasion 'Good old boys' Alien resistance saga..

    12.And even Dr.Who ..

There have always been sci /fi since TV began , but the amount and intencity of the
stories seem to be pointing to poss disclosure ? On top of this all the shows on UFO
channel and U Tube, and the plethera of movies, never before has there been so
much of this material available. You could argue that in a market driven by a global
media society, that the market is only supplying demand. But the basic sci/fi
community is only so big and the media moguls are giving us a unproportionate
amount of material. This could also be interpreted as they have to tell us what is
going to happen, hidden among the storylines ? Which ever way you look at it we
are in a golden era 'Science Fiction or Disclosure ????? Cheers Steve

I have never watched Stargate or even other shows like the newer "Star Trek" because I wasn't a sci-fi buff when I was younger. I'll have to start buying the DVDs and watching them now.

LOL yaaasss. If I may recommend VUZE - (a torrent client) they are linked to other LEGAL torrent sites and have a huge library... (movies, books, audio etc) including the redigitised STAR TREK the whole original series if you're interested Mulder?

Paramount rehonked the original, adding in new state-of-the art CGI to replace scenes of the 60's special effects only (where stars shone through the model of the Enterprise). It looks brand new and has aged very well. Many of the original series stories are still quite ahead of their time. (The late Gene Roddenberry - STAR TREK's creator, was considered visionary. He admitted that the "prototype" for TREK was the classic sci-fi movie, "Forbidden Planet" which is rumoured to be up for a remake)

VUZE get around the copyright issue by way of a relatively cheap membership fee, some of the proceeds of which give the holder a license to "use".

    www.vuze.com/

The original STARGATE movie was based on historical and "allegedly true" writings (including the purported recovery of real ancient Stargates). Some older Camelot interviews mention this if readers wish to check.

Star Trek under Gene Roddenberry is incredible, the man who have vision and way ahead of it's time...people said he's contacted with various beings and i can accept that.

Quote The U.S. Department of the Air Force, through the Air Force Office of Public Affairs, Entertainment Liaison in Los Angeles, cooperated closely with the Stargate SG-1 producers. Before the beginning of the series, the Air Force granted production access to the Cheyenne Mountain complex to film stock shots. They also read every script for mistakes and provided help with plausible background stories for all characters, ribbons, uniform regulations, hair advice, plotlines, and military relationships.[70] The USAF flew up several T-38 Talon, F-15 and F-16 fighter jets to Vancouver for various episodes and direct-to-DVD films.[37][71][72] Many of the extras portraying USAF personnel were real USAF personnel.[73]
Two successive Chiefs of Staff of the Air Force, Generals Michael E. Ryan and John P. Jumper, appeared as themselves in season 4's "Prodigy" and season 7's "Lost City", respectively. General Jumper's second scheduled appearance in season 9's "The Fourth Horseman" was cancelled due to ongoing real-world conflicts in the Middle East.[72] The Air Force Association recognized Richard Dean Anderson at its 57th annual dinner on September 14, 2004 for his work as actor and executive producer of the show, and for the show's positive depiction of the United States Air Force.[73]

    Thanks for this thread!

Stargate is one of my favourite series and I have watched it since the beginning! I have always thought of it as a kind of "disclosure" series since it looks so real - but I didnīt know it was actually shot in so close collaboration with the air force as you say!

Please watch this very interesting documentary Operation Hollywood: How The Pentagon Shapes And Censors The Movies (it has Norwegian subtitles, hope that is OK):

The documentary is about the collaboration between film makers and the US army. Film makers may rent/use army gear, uniforms and everything else on one condition - the US army has to read the script and approve of it and the script must of course show the army in their best light. If this deal is done, the army often lends the film maker almost what ever he wishes.

    -- EDIT --
To spare you some time if you donīt want to see the whole documentary, the most interesting part for this topic is between 35 - 48 min.

This said, the fact that Stargate is so close to the army just underlines the truth in the series it self. Just makes it even more interesting! It would be interesting to see which sci-fi series who has this close connection to the army.

I agree with you Cidersomerset - there are so many great sci-fi series that are interesting, Battlestar Galactica/Caprica and Torchwood is just outstanding!

Has anyone seen the one-off series, "Terra Nova"?

Similar to Stargate, it is set in the year 2149, and humanity is in the final throes of extinction. Those fortunate enough to escape are allowed to travel back in time 85 million years through a stargate/portal, to an outpost known as Terra Nova. Once there, they face giant, carnivorous dinosaurs, and mysterious forces conspire to destroy the entire experiment. There's one hitch, the portal is a one way trip. Whole series has been released on DVD.

Yes I've watched the first six episodes and its building the foundations for several
seeries. It reminded me also of Outcasts another BBC seeries stopped after eight
episodes in mid plot.A group of colonists this time on a far off planet Carpathia
trying to maintain their colony, as Earth is dying and there is trouble from expelled
enhanced soldiers, who were on the original expediton. An undetected Alien
presence monitoring them. A mole in the camp trying to usurp the leader of the
colonists and pathe the way for the last ship to arrive from earth with some new
charectors ready to take over. This is how the first series ended with no sign of
    seeries two.

Its definately axed, shame as it was looking promising !

BBC's 'Outcasts' May Conclude As A Novel

Series creator outlines his plans for cancelled second season

by ALAN STANLEY BLAIR, posted Apr-7-2011
    Source: Den Of Geek

    BBC's "Outcasts" was ambitious.

Some might even say it was too ambitious for some people as the series was
quickly canceled after only a single 8-episode season but plans are underway to
conclude the story of the Carpathian colonists. But if you're hoping for that
conclusion to take place on-screen then don't get too excited as the series will likely
make the jump from screen to paper.

"I'm very keen on doing a novelization of the 'missing' series, because we had
brilliant stories," series creator Ben Richards told Den of Geek.

The BBC series revolved around the survivors of an Earth-wide evacuation and their
settling on a planet called Carpathia. However, the colonization process is far from
bloodless and the atrocities committed upon arrival on the planet never seem far
away. The opening episode also introduced CT-9, a transport from Earth seeking a
new home, which was carrying new settlers and prominent figure from Earth's
Government with plans to subvert the Carpathian administration for his own gain.

Throughout the series, the arrival of another Earth transport was teased with the
ship finally making itself known in the series finale, demonstrating the ability to
operate in the Carpathian atmosphere ... something that no ship has previously
been able to do. The series then ended leaving the fate of several characters up in
the air, including Fleur (Amy Manson) who was revealed to be one of the AC's
(advanced cultivars bred to help establish the colony), Cass (Daniel Mays) came
face to face with a craft from CT-9 and Berger (Eric Mabius) failed in his attempted
    coup.

What would have happened if the series continued?

"We had a huge episode one planned, which was a kind of battle for Carpathia,"
Richards said. "It was a battle that was fought on a number of fronts, and involved
some causalities among our main cast.

"There was [also] Fleur (Amy Manson) with the ACs, and her relationship with Rudi
(Langley Kirkwood), that was only hinted at. So, we had all that to deal with."

Aside from the character-based stories that were planned, the series would also
have tackled the arrival of CT-9 and how another authority figure would have
changed life on Carpathia for the colonists. Richards explained that although
President Tate's (Liam Cunningham) leadership was fairly relaxed there would be
another character entering the series with a totally different outlook.

"[She] was going to be the female commander of CT-10," he said. "She was going
to be terrifying. She was going to be [like] Ian McShane in 'Deadwood.' She was
going to be an absolute no-nonsense, kick-ass character."
