Almost too convenient? A part of controlled disclosure, just as the recent news how scientists believe it is very possible that Mars can sustain life?

I may be too cynical... Perhaps someone just chose to not touch up the images.
The images are great, them I like!
Hell, I´ll just add a completely ridiculous smiley to distract you people from adressing my cynicism..

STS means the photos were taken from the space shuttle (or one of the shuttles) and not the ISS.

I'll do some more reasearch, but this might be a hoax.

STS-61 Space Shuttle Endeavour 1993 (repair of Hubble)
STS-61-A Space Shuttle Challenger 1985 (delivering Spacelab into orbit)
STS-61-B Space Shuttle Atlantis 1985 (deploying communication satellites)
STS-61-C Space Shuttle Columbia 1986 (deploying communication satellites)

So, this is from the 1986 flight.

If I recall correctly, the "official" answer from NASA was that they were insulating tiles that separated from the shuttle.
Just because I took the red pill, it doesn't mean that I washed it down with the koolaid

Hahahaha... yeah riiiiiiight (NASA - Never A Straight Answer)

Bit like the UFO's in orbit doing U-Turns that are "ice crystals"

Jackovesks thread re Michael Schratt - includes links to some very interesting piccies...

Could be related to this (minus the fins) - the TR-3B is "old hat":

Although the above link states possible TR3B, this night vision image taken in France is more likely to be the "Astra".

Here is a whole playlist of different "triangle" videos
