So, Speculation number 6 is looking pretty good... Their last card... defense against space rocks! Was it natural or was the "ROCK" guided by the Secret Space Program to cause a spectacular event to give momentum to the need for more space based weapons... So Aliens are next on the Threat list I guess.

Asteroid smashing mission to blast space rock in 2022

A joint mission between Europe and the US is working on a project to slam a spacecraft into an asteroid in 2022, in a bid to prove that incoming objects from space can be knocked off path and stopped from colliding with earth.

The Joint European/US Asteroid impact and Deflection Assessment mission (AIDA) is preparing to intercept the asteroid Didymos in 2022, when it is about 6.5 million miles (11 million kilometers) from earth.

European Space Agency (ESA) Officials announced the plans in a press release on Friday.

“AIDA is not just an asteroid mission, it is also meant as a research platform open to all different mission users,” said Andrés Gálvez, ESA studies manager.

The AIDA researchers are working with scientists from Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory, who are involved in the Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, a $350 million project that has been in development for a decade.

“There is a science aspect to it and a planetary defense aspect to it,” said Andy Cheng, the chief scientist at the Laurel physics laboratory and one of the key brains behind the project.

The target Didymos is actually a binary system, in which an 800 meter wide asteroid and a smaller 150 meter space rock orbit each other. Didymos does not pose a threat to earth in the foreseeable future.

The AIDA mission will aim to send a space rocket smashing into the smaller asteroid at about 14,000 mph (22,539 kph) while another spacecraft records the collision. High powered earth based telescopes will also observe the encounter.

Cheng expects the collision to knock the smaller asteroid from its established path around the larger one. This would produce an orbital deflection which is both larger and easier to measure than if the space probe targeted an asteroid circling the sun, according to a preliminary report into the mission released by the European Space Agency (ESA) last year.

NASA and ESA jointly published an initial plan for the project last May. NASA has said that if the project goes ahead, they will help the AIDA mission launch ‘the impactor’ - the space vechile that will blast the asteroid - while the ESA would launch a second spacecraft to assess the impact and observe its effects.

“It is important to note that the target Didymos is not an earth-crossing asteroid, and there is no prospect that the deflection experiment would create an impact hazard,” the report stated.

ESA has asked scientists to propose experiments that could be carried out by the AIDA mission in space, or that could increase the scientific return from the mission on the ground.

The defense of the earth against asteroids, which has long been a focus of former astronauts, astronomers and amateur space hobbyists, became dramatically relevant when the largest meteor to hit the planet in a century hurtled towards a lake in Chelyabinsk in the Russian Urals on February 15th, which caused structural damage to buildings and blew glass from windows, injuring 1,500 people.

The largest impact previously recorded took place in 1908, when the Tunguska meteorite flattened more than 800 square miles of forest in Siberia.

This is a BIG deal... so I can see why this is a story that will not die...

Huffington Post article, Apollo Cluster as origin... CLUSTER meaning more to come? And the other meteors that hit around the globe... were from same cluster?

A team of astronomers have tracked down the origin of a meteorite which injured more than 1,000 people in Russia.

The rock smashed into Lake Chebarkul, near the Ural Mountains and the city of Chelyabinsk, smashing windows and causing havoc as it ripped through the sky.

But its passage was also captured in astonishing detail and clarity, largely thanks to the Russian trend to have CCTV cameras installed in cars.

Using this video footage, a team from Colombia have managed to work out where it came from - not only the direction in the sky but also its orbit around the Sun.

Jorge Zuluaga and Ignacio Ferrin said thatthey used relatively basic physics and maths to work out how fast the rock fell, and in which direction.

From there they were able to build a picture of its trajectory in space in an elliptical orbit around the sun, and traced its origin the the Apollo asteroid cluster.

Rocks from that region regularly cross Earth's orbit. Of the 9,700 near-Earth space rocks discovered by astronomers, more than 5,000 originate from this region.

Unfortunately, this likely means that it won't be the last threatening space rock to pass nearby - in fact it's certain than more will strike the Earth relatively soon (in cosmic terms).

    The team said:

". In order to account for the uncertainties implicit in the determination of the trajectory of the body in the atmosphere, we use Monte Carlo methods to calculate the most probable orbital parameters.
We use this result to classify the meteoroid among the near Earth asteroid families finding that the parent body belonged to the Apollo asteroids. Although semimajor axis and inclination of the preliminary orbit computed by us are uncertain, the rest of orbital elements are well constrained in this preliminary reconstruction."

So, speculations include an object that is knocking asteroids out of their orbits (Above article names the actual cluster of asteroids) so a Planet X type theory has to be entertained.
I have to say I dunno about this guy... not that familiar with his work. Some of the things he says raises my eye brows but I post you decide. It starts at the 39 minute mark. The first part is on chronic pain and is actually worth a listen.

Attorney, contractor, and ET contactee Gordon James Gianninoto provided an update on what he knows about Planet X and the coming pole shift, the nature of gravity, Earth's 'dark twin,' and why he believes the government is covering up imminent global catastrophe. The recent return of Planet X to our solar system has resulted in disruptions, including universal climate change and a rise of solar activity, that are merely a prelude to the calamities which will unfold once it gets closer to Earth. But Planet X is not merely a rogue celestial body, he declared, "this is definitely an inhabited planet. It's volcanic, atmospheric, and oceanic and it's inhabited by tall, selfish humans." He contended that the denizens of Planet X are actually the Annunaki, a race of space faring aliens that once had a colony on Earth and created human beings as slaves to mine for gold.

According to Gianninoto, the Annunaki's mistreatment of humans caused the "Council of Worlds, which are the unselfish extraterrestrials" to intervene and force them off of Earth by thwarting their projects on the planet. Unable to return to Planet X, these deposed Annunaki traveled to Mars to live and continue their gold mining, while they waited for their home world to return. Gianninoto claimed that these aliens brought their supplies and livestock with them to Mars, but eventually the marooned Annunaki died out there before they could rejoin their brethren on Planet X. Current images from the Mars NASA rovers, he said, show artifacts and debris from the Annunaki civilization that once lived there.

Gianninoto revealed that the US government found evidence of Planet X in 1983, but it was quickly declared top secret via an executive order by President Reagan. However, the "Council of Worlds" have told President Obama that he must announce the truth about Planet X to the world, since it is getting closer to Earth and will soon cause a polar shift. Gianninoto suggested that, should there be an announcement about Planet X, the government will purposely avoid using that name for it, so that people do not find out about the impending global catastrophe. Regardless of the foreknowledge available, he warned that up to 90% of the population will die from the events caused by Planet X going past Earth. Fortunately for the survivors, he said, "unselfish ETs" subsequently provide help for the like-minded humans remaining on Earth.

    Insane Anti-Ballistic missile from Russia
    http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=cf1_1354769714

Inpatient should watch from 0:55 (No captions in English Too Bad! )
This missile has been developed in Russia and will be deployed in Russian strategic locations including their Exclave in middle of Europe - Kaliningrad. They are planning to deploy a missile as an answer to out Missile Defense Shield in Europe and Japan.
The missile is absolutely unique! It is 10 meters(32.8ft) long, 1 meter(3.28ft) in diameter and weights 10 tones. It is kept in silo-based launch contained. Prior to launch its cover is blown off and missile is literally shot out into the skies with enormously incredible speed! The launch is so powerful, that only after 3 seconds, 10 tone missile reaches the speed of 5.5km/sec.(3.4mps) and after 2 more seconds of flight, it reaches the altitude of 30km.(18.64mi).
This is a short-range last resort missile that is only fired when all 3 layers of their air defense have failed to knock a missile down. It has a maximum range of 300kn (184mi) and is equipped with a tiny 10 kiloton nuclear charge which would knock out with it's explosion wave any warheads that might be traveling together from a ballistic missile.

MOST DEFINITELY THE FASTEST START OF ANYTHING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!
We are good at making high precision weapons and make great combat equipment, but those Russians are sure by far the best at rocket and missile technology (especially aerodynamics and propulsion) I read a lot about military equipment and was very surprised to find out that their Long range air-defense systems like S-300, now S-400 and soon S-500 beat our best Patriot system in rage by 3 to 5 times, much greater speeds, mobility, maneuverability and penetration(including trajectory).

I cannot come right out with the who, how and specifics of what I was informed but you can read between the lines below as I "Speculate" on what could have happened. Anyone with Intel of their own from family/friends still in the system please share if you can clarify any points below. I HATE being used as a TOOL of Dis-Info so I am presenting the info as below to let you see what rings true to you. It has happened to me before so use your own judgment.
This thread is fascinating! And thank you for your attitude in quotes above. I love 'maybe' logic--(Robert Anton Wilson). The Werner Von Braun disclosure is particularly appealing. I watched this woman on S.Greer's disclosure video, give same testimony years ago. She seemed completely sincere--don't think she has written a book or had anything to gain commercially. Many of the disclosure witnesses had a lot to lose, enhancing their credibility.

I just assumed that the meteor was part of the asteroid's debris cloud. Made me feel grateful we didn't get hit by the asteroid. (I guess that is what happened at Tunguska many years ago. Imagine if an asteroid hit Wall street? Oh..woops, that's almost a pleasant thought...sorry! LOL)

Anyway...the chances that those two events are unrelated is vanishingly small. Has any debris been found? If not, that's weird. I guess it could have burned up in the atmosphere, but usually something that bright and relatively large will leave some smoking something or other somewhere in the general vicinity.

As far as alternative theories-- if I were a betting type I'd place odds on theories 5 and 6.

    Alas, yet more....

So did a UFO shoot down the famous Chelyabinsk meteorite last month?
By The Siberian Times reporter28 February 2013
The meteorite that crashed to Earth in the Urals was attacked by a UFO causing it to explode and shatter, it was claimed on Thursday.

Early speculation suggested the incoming object had been shot at by a Russian missile, but no such claim has been made by the authorities. Picture: The Siberian Times

The theory comes from Russian watchers of unidentified flying objects and echoes a version that first appeared on the day the space rock fell on Chelyabinsk region. Early speculation suggested the meteorite had been shot at by a Russian missile, but no such claim has been made by the authorities.

Indeed, the Russian government is seeking to lead world efforts to secure the technology to blast such objects before they cause damage on the ground.

Now attention has switched to whether - as a raging online debate suggests - 'we were saved by a UFO' exploding the menacing meteorite seconds before it struck the ground.

'At first, we also believed that the Chelyabinsk meteorite was just an ordinary meteorite, a cosmic body', said Alexander Komanev, coordinator for the Russian UFO community in Yekaterinburg. 'But facts began to emerge. In the internet began to appear videos, at least three of which were similar, on which you can see how an object catches the meteorite.'

This tiny object then 'flies through it - and the meteorite explodes and falls.

The meteorite that crashed to Earth in the Urals was attacked by a UFO causing it to explode and shatter, it was claimed on Thursday. Pictures: The Siberian Times

'Such a number of videos, made from different angles makes us believe that something blew up the meteorite...' - Komanev stressed.

To the untrained eye, it is hard to tell what was happening here, but Komanev suggests that prior to the the meteorite's fall there was an upsurge in UFO sightings.

His 'second supporting argument' is that 'since 2012 we have registered an increase of UFO activity. We began to receive more testimonies of eyewitnesses.'

He explained: 'Usually we get two messages about UFO per month. Since the beginning of February we received four messages.'

He claimed that 'we have two videos on which we can clearly see a UFO' shortly before the meteorite.

Komanev showed two videos at a press conference in Yekaterinburg. One of videos was made in Chabry village, Sverdlovsk region. The claim is it shows

two 'glowing bowls' seen flying in the sky at night. They are visible, disappear and appear again, it is claimed.

On the second from Chelyabinsk, filmed at 10 am, 'glowing bowls' are shown slowly moving in the sky, they appear and then are lost again.

After the meteorite fall, he claimed he and his colleagues did not receive any messages about cases of UFO in the region.

'No activity at all,' he said.

Meanwhile, divers in Lake Chebarkul have found craters in the three-metre thick silt where several pieces of the meteorite are believed to have sunk.

Lubov Rudometova, press secretary of Chebarkul administration, said: 'We have a special team of people who are searching for the meteorite's fragments.'

A magnetic examination of the lake's floor is also being conducted.

Chinese missile flies over USA sparking meteor reports over TX and LO... CHINESE MISSILE, no big deal since when? SO, I guess space/re-entry debris is fairly common... but I am not down with foreign missiles burning out over my head (I live in TX under where the fireball was seen) releasing GOD knows what from its payload.

Lightbulb Re: Speculating: Global Meteors, Space Based Weapons & Current Struggle for Financial Systems Related?

I have to say I have been waiting for David Wilcock to address this on his site Divinecosmose.com. I was pretty disappointed that it was not even mentioned in his latest release about the lightening strike at the Vatican... But maybe the silence speaks volumes on what his insiders are saying. Knowing that many of his and Fulford's insiders are the same I am perplexed. DW could have a good reason for overlooking this topic in his last post...

Maybe there is more to come from him on this topic, but one thing is for sure... this is a topic that refuses to die in Avalon Threads and Alternative Media Sources... as well as chatter (Mostly conflicting and Confusing) among the intel sources I have access to has more legs than a Centipede.

No offence DW, I know you have a lot going on and may have plans on covering this and are waiting for more info to come in... I know you visit this Forum often as time permits...

I have been keeping an eye out for public reports of EMP's related to the blast wave... If anyone has that info please post... IF THERE IS SUCH PUBLIC INFO, it could be some KEY DATA and telemetry that I would like to provide to my Friends at their Lab. I have access to a great scientific research resource with state of the art LAB for Material Science and metallurgical failure analysis company. I grew up with the owner who is brilliant and willing to do any testing requested. He has many patents and peer reviewed technical papers (Very reputable). I brag, he is my closest and most trusted friend in the world... known since we were 4 years old.

Your intel sources have more legs than a centipede? I don't think that's what is meant by a story 'having legs', but it works for me!

Found this post on one of the dozen or so on this topic. Video worth watching... They say Rail Gun's are experimental but they have been deployed and in use for some time and are preferred by one agency over plasma cannons to this day even though they need to be manned and the ordinance maintained.

They are MUCH more compact and have a classified range and speed despite the article below...

Welcome to the year of the comet (we hope)

Comet PanSTARRS will be visible in the Northern Hemisphere soon, but it's already putting on a show in the skies of the Southern Hemisphere. This image was taken by amateur astronomer Terry Lovejoy on February 12, 2013, from Brisbane, Australia. He used a QHY9 camera and an 8" telescope with 5 minutes exposure.

    STORY HIGHLIGHTS
Comet Pan-STARRS will swing into view over the Northern Hemisphere beginning March 7
It will stay close to the horizon, so you'll need to get away from trees and buildings to see it
Comet ISON will pass by this year, but scientist is skeptical of "Comet of Century" predictions
(CNN) -- First a meteor exploded over Russia, followed closely by an asteroid fly-by. Now, two comets are expected to put on a naked-eye spectacle for sky watchers in the Northern Hemisphere.
Up first is Comet Pan-STARRS, which gets its funky name from the telescope credited with discovering it in June 2001: the Panoramic Survey Telescope & Rapid Response System in Hawaii.
The comet is already visible through telescopes in the Southern Hemisphere, and it should swing into view over the Northern Hemisphere beginning around March 8.
It's hard to predict exactly how bright Pan-STARRS will be, but you should be able to see it without binoculars or telescopes, said Don Yeomans of NASA's Near-Earth Object Program. It should be about as bright as the stars in the Big Dipper.
    Science Seat: Don Yeomans
"There is a chance that it will be a little brighter than this, but likewise, it might not get quite that bright," said Karl Battams of the Naval Research Lab.
Graphic: How to tell space rocks apart
Part of the brightness will depend on how close Pan-STARRS gets to the sun. Comets are made up of water, ice, dust and other elements and minerals, all loosely packed together, Battams said. As a comet gets closer to the sun, the sun's heat causes these elements to melt, spewing out dust and gas in a brilliant tail.
"The closer it gets, the more intense the radiation and the more elements will be melted," he said.
Pan-STARRS is expected to get fairly close to the sun. That's bad news for the comet, but it could be a boon for sky watchers if the comet is brighter and easier to see.
Pan-STARRS also could fall apart and fizzle. But if it survives its sunbath, we should be able to see it low on the horizon in the western sky for a couple of weeks, Battams said.
"About half an hour after sunset would be a good time for people take a look," he said.
    Here are some key dates:
    March 5: Pan-STARRS will be closest to Earth;
    March 10: The comet will pass closest to the sun;
March 12 and 13: The best dates to look for Pan-STARRS; it should emerge in the western sunset sky not far from the crescent moon.
    Battams has these viewing tips:
    1) Safety first: Don't try to look at the comet until the sun sets. Do not look at the sun using regular binoculars or telescopes. Ever! You'll burn up your eyes.
    2) Comet Pan-STARRS will stay close to the horizon, so you'll need to get away from trees and buildings.
    3) Look carefully! The sky will still be bright at dusk, which can make it hard to spot comets.
    4) If the skies are clear, and you are away from city light pollution, you may be able to see the comet with your bare eyes. If not, use binoculars.
    5) If you can't escape the city, try using binoculars.
Second chance to catch a comet
If your quest to see the first comet doesn't pan out -- get it? (OK, that's bad) -- we might get to see a better comet later in 2013: Comet ISON.
ISON was discovered by Russian astronomers Vitali Nevski and Artyom Novichonok in September 2012. It's named after their night-sky survey program, the International Scientific Optical Network.
Some early comet prognosticators -- and reporters -- have tagged ISON "the Comet of Century." But Yeomans isn't buying it just yet. He remembers being duped by another comet with that same moniker. In 1973, Kohoutek was hyped, too, and it fizzled.
"Predicting the behavior of comets is like predicting the behavior of cats -- can't really be done," he said.
So here is the hype on ISON: On November 28, it is expected to dive into the sun's atmosphere. If it survives, it might glow as brightly as the moon and be briefly visible in daylight. Its tail might stretch far across the night sky.
Battams is optimistic, but he said we won't know until late summer what to expect from ISON.
"I'll be surprised if we don't have a bright comet this fall and/or winter, but it's still just too early to speculate," he said.
So, like Pan-STARRS, ISON's fate will be decided by the sun. It could burn brightly and earn that "Comet of the Century" title; it could melt or it could just break apart.
Scientists say neither comet poses any threat to Earth, but if both comets hold together, sky watchers will get a rare treat: two comets, both bright enough to be seen with the naked eye, in one year.
    Fingers crossed!

Fireball Falls From The Sky, Starts Fire In Tasmania

    (Before It's News)

Tasmanian police and firefighters are unable to explain the source of a beam of light which reportedly fell from the sky and formed a circle of fire in a Hobart suburb.

Early yesterday morning police and fire crews received calls from concerned residents in Carnegie Street at Claremont, who reported seeing a bright light igniting a fire in a nearby paddock.

Tasmania Fire Service officer Scott Vinen says the blaze was quickly put out, leaving an obvious burnt patch.

He says the bizarre incident has everyone baffled.

Earth seems to be under attack from fireballs lately. Not that we weren't before its just that before, they didn't strike the earth causing fires, damage and injuries. This is 2013 right? Not 2012... -Mort

Semi related as far as secret space/break away civilizations and zero point energy goes. Also some more deep black info from insiders and talk of the small "Being" that is being studied. Some foul language from the hosts but Greer puts on a good show.

RUSSIAN METEOR WAS A UFO MOTHERSHIP: VIDEO PROOF! (and more)

The "and more" part was interesting. Lot of same ole same ole, but some footage of other large "Meteor's" that have come in over Russia. Nothing ground breaking, just interesting.
