Love to the Village on this Beautiful Sunday : )

Well, I've been in Peru for two weeks and it seems like two months, haha!

Getting a home back on track with minimal Spanish has been interesting... have found plenty of help(including Folks from the English School here) and am learning fast.

Had my left front eye tooth finally come out fully when I bit into a hard apple...and it sure came out, exposed the root and felt like it created a canal to my nasal passage..ggeeessshhhh!
This too shall pass and all is well, though : ) Just send me a 'live-in' translator for a while, ok? : )

Darn good thing I'm a master carpenter/builder...cuz it sure does help put an acceleration to the workings here : )
That in itself is a 'motivation' to the crew when creation and alteration starts to happen before their eyes...

I will share some pics of the "casa" in the future at Here and Now...a beautiful location it is, in the mountain.

Yes Paula, I may get a hold of an Iphone...been thinking about it for translation on the spot. I am getting by with Friends and determination. Heck...I hadn't touched a mobile phone for years until the one I have now to take care of business down here.

Yep Ulli..there is already a rather unspoken "construction" understanding with me and the workers that were/are here at the house. They've gotten to know me real quick : )

Ok since we seem to be a little cat based on this thread,I will tell you the story of the first time I met a tiger.

Many moons ago before I was a zookeeper, we were at a persons compound. Ron was a big guy six five and three hundred and something pounds. When we got to his place I immediatly noticed the tigers, lions and Jaguars. But mostly one tiger whose name was Targa. He was a seven hundred and fifty pound siberan tiger he was giant and so pretty with such large eyes, I was instantly hypnotized by his presence.

Being that this was a private compound you could get really close, and I did. I had never been so close to such a large and magnificent animal.
He was so beautiful.
I was staring at him when Ron came over and said "would you like to pet him"? I said yes oh yes. ( still do not know where that came from, it was like I was dreaming)So Ron whips out his giant key ring and proceeds to open the door. He motions for me to come into the cage, and he latches the door behind him.

The tiger comes over and starts rubbing against us his head is almost level with mine, he's so large it's hard for me to hold my balance as he leans against us,Ron says "don't be scared he's a baby. The next thing I know Im plunging my hands thru his thick oily fur, when I hear him making like a little coughing sound. Seeing the look on my face Ron says" he's purring" he likes you. In fact what he was doing was buffing, at least thats what we called it. Tigers can't purr so they make a sound like buuhhhfff.
After some dreamy minutes of petting the tiger, the tiger decides to grab my foot to try and take me down, so Ron recommended we leave. Eventually Targa came to live with me and we had many happy years together. When I wanted to freak people out I would put a peice of chicken or beef in my mouth and Targa would take it from my lips as gentle as a kitten. Targa had children and I raised them too. But he was and will always be the first Cat I ever loved.

Due to a conversation I had with an acquaintance yesterday I had to think of a humorous saying on t-shirts here. The saying is "ich werde nicht älter, ich werde besser". Translated it means "I'm not getting older, I'm getting better". I like the saying, often I feel annoyed that in our superficial society youth is equated with beauty and that many feel they are no longer beautiful when they grow older. That's nonsense. I wish people would throw that silly notion out the nearest window, preferably from the tenth story.

Why I'm thinking about that when I'm still relatively young? No idea, I tend to think about lots of stuff and observe and listen to what others say and what's on their minds. It's interesting. And sometimes a bit maddening too, when you see how many are burdened by all these stupid ideas being put in our minds.

I find everyone more and more beautiful every day.

... and, "Yes," to the maddening part.
