Hi Paula, I figured this one would definitely have meaning to you. To sum up where I've been lately, I drew the Prairie Dog card (I work w/Jamie Sams & David Carson's Medicine Cards) 3 times in a row! So, I have been reflecting on what that means to me for the last several days as I contemplate another move. We moved into this house 6 months ago, moved my daughter 2 months in a row, and now we're moving in 3 weeks. It's a good move though, maybe even another, better, job too. Been missing everyone. Life in the Village goes on though. Love all you fine folks here and hoping all is well in your world.
Well, Spiritwind, I must confess I am a bit jealous of you moving again.
I have moved nearly fifty times in my life, and of course it became a habit.
After two years in one place there is an itch, a restlessness. I start manifesting negative stuff, as if to give myself an excuse to move on.
Since moving to this valley in the mountains of Costa Rica five years ago I knew that the time had come to kick that Gypsy butt of mine and settle down. Spirit confirms this. My father-in- law confirmed it, too, when he gave us a two acre field next to the river right next door to where we are now.
    I have designed our house.
Yet the old restless me still wants to get up and move again....
being born with a Jupiter-sun conjunction can be a bit of a curse.....

Once the exact birth time is known astrologers take into consideration not only the longitude positions of the sun, moon, and planets, but also set up a second chart, where the positions of those planets relate to the exact time zone and location of birth.
This part of the chart gives what is called astrological "houses", which range from 1 to 12. As the earth rotates around its own axis every 24 hours a new sign "rises" on the eastern horizon every two hours. The first house is then plotted from the point that was rising, or ascending there...and is called the Ascendant.
People who are born around sunrise have the Ascendant in the same sign as their sun, hence double Libra, in Astrid's case.
If she had been born at sunset, she would have had Aries, the opposite sign of Libra, as her Ascendant.

I've moved around my whole life, mostly between Wales and England. I love where I am now. I live near a place called Three Cliffs Bay. Breathtakingly beautiful and steeped in legend, teeming with Sidhe. I really thought I'd found my roots here. Not according to astrologer Steve Judd. He reckons I won't even be in the uk eventually. You should hear my protestations on the cd he did for me from my phone reading! "We'll see Lisa, We'll see!" Is his take!

Default Re: Here and Now...What's Happening?

I'm not sure if I ever shared this before, Calz. Maybe it doesn't hurt to do it again. From the beginning, when I first learnt how to set up birth charts, I knew that astrology could really only have one purpose for me....to rise above planetary influences.
To use this knowledge to do otherwise, and not what we feel compelled to do.
So within one year I broke free from my incessant Capricorn ambitious business woman self, and return to my earlier explorer self. I left my fashion career without looking back. Nobody could believe it at the time.

So when you feel that your five Libra planets are running the show, start focusing on the question of "what would an Aries do here?" to balance that Libra influence out a bit.
Aries energy is action energy...no contemplation, no planning, no thinking, just DO it. Deal with the consequences later.
There is this fearlessness in Aries energy, which the perfectionistic Libra cannot allow themselves, in case they make a mistake, and then later have to live with obsessive guilt.
If all this is understood, then all of our compulsive issues can be dealt with one by one...as they arise.
Those Librans who have developed the ability to forgive themselves,
to overcome their vanity, their compulsive need to be at one with all others,
and live in peace and harmony at all times, their need to grab votes from an adoring public,
to overcome their fear of conflict and allow the positive side of conflict processes to lead to fresh clarity...
those Librans then become a force to be reckoned with, which can begin to understand what "free will" really means.
Because everything in life has a good and a bad application, every planetary sign has a good and a bad application, but it is higher consciousness that should be in charge of these applications, and not compulsive planetary impulses.
This is why I wish everyone would study astrology, starting at an early age.
No path leads to self knowledge faster.

Not going to happen while the elite go out of their way to ridicule this field,
or distort it with pseudo astrologers they plant in their media outlets.

I just like to frolic ulli ... you know me (hey you did my chart ... what color is my underwear???)

I had lotso fun with astro for several years (learned hanging around a professional).

Dropped following it because I did not want to take away the spontaneous moments that define our lives ... but still remember a lot.

I does help in understanding others ... and that was/is the true value in it for me (not predictive aspects).

(now if I had the type of astro influences carmody does ... that would be different)

I'm finding the energies to be very supportive of late, although I am on the 3am wake up again. Two weeks ago upon awakening I made an impassioned plea to the universe to now help me find like minded people in the physical. I'm fine with aloneless and of course having Avalon and the village has probably been the most magical and helpful times of my life, but I just felt it was time I think. Anyway, after my prayer and upon opening the curtains I was greeted with a Murmaration of starlings. Starling medicine is group connections. Then one evening I dreamed of Archangel Micheal. Now this was a biggie for me, because I'd stepped backed from angel energy for certain reasons that I won't go into at this point.
Last week I popped into the public toilets on the beach front and there pinned to a notice board was an invitation to a Micheal throat chakra meditation, that very night.
I left little one with his big bro and off I went. I've since been back 3 times for various meditations, meetings and lectures. It's so wonderful to 'talk shift' with others here in my home town. I've met some awesome people but not everyone yet. There are lots of events coming up in April, including shamanic journeying. I'm very excited right now!

Keep me out of this please Calz 'Double libran' doesn't mean you and me, it means you and you - it looks like you're having a gemini moment (whatever that is)

    Edit:I don't have a time of birth so I can't be a double anything can I?

The layer of the chart which becomes visible when the exact time of birth is known explains why not all Taureans are the same.
If you are a Taurus with a Cancer Ascendant you will come across much more reserved and even shy than a Taurus with a Leo Ascendant, who will seek the lime light.
Of course the moon also modifies the sun sign but not as much as the Ascendant.
In fact, in some astrology circles they say that the sun and the moon give away only 25% of the appearance, while the Ascendant is 50%.
Which explains why in astro tea parties astrologers usually guess me to be Leo, and only after I tell them no do they get the Capricorn part.

    Hi Ulli,
Please could you point me in the direction of any descent websites and/or books for a complete beginner in Astrology with the idea to also bring the kids into this. Could be a great subject for home schooling, lesson plans are tight considering almost everything taught in school today is a load of b****cks lol.

    Thanks Zoe

Also next month I'm going to a talk by Timothy Freke. Again this has been arranged by the same group and is quite a coup for my little town. It's only 12 pounds. In London he would charge at least 50. I've never read any of his books but I have checked out him by u tube. Pretty exciting.

I just spent a *great* deal of time combing through that after a search to respond to:

Quote Keep me out of this please Calz 'Double libran' doesn't mean you and me, it means you and you - it looks like you're having a gemini moment (whatever that is)

Didn't find what I was looking for there ... only other thread is this one and I sure as sh!t aint gonna go through this whole thread ...

Wow, I am flattered at the time spent trying to answer the possibly unanswerable. Hasn't it occurred to you Calz that I may just be talking nonsense

    Hi Ulli,
Please could you point me in the direction of any descent websites and/or books for a complete beginner in Astrology with the idea to also bring the kids into this. Could be a great subject for home schooling, lesson plans are tight considering almost everything taught in school today is a load of b****cks lol.

    Thanks Zoe
I went to google "The Compleat Astrologer" by Derek and Julia Parker, which was one of the books which got me started back in 1979 and is excellent.
But holy moly ...the price tag is unbelievable on Amazon...$245 for a new and over $100 for used copies.

    Hello Spirit Wind,

Three times in a row, I love, love, love those kinds of synchronicities! I’m particle to 3 reasons, 3 rationales, or 3 excuses... when I get 3 then I justify what I’m about to do. (A silly thing I think I need to do, but do anyway.)

My take is any move, be it inward or outward, is a golden opportunity to lighten the load physically, emotionally and spiritually become Lighter. Side benefits: happiness, creativity of all kinds including creative solutions, clean-slate... What am I doing? This is beginning to sound preachy. Ugh!
I wanted to use this smilie before it comes outdated.

I have a great feeling about your move. God Speed on your ever changing and always better journey.

BTW: In part, you’ve answered my question why the prairie dog kept popping into my head for the last week.

There some info on the #3 and the prairie dog from some of my favorite resource books:

Three as defines in “Numerology and the Divine Triangle,” by: Faith Javane and Dusty Bunker

Bible Symbology: The First Trinity - Adam and Eve and child. Thus 3 means manifestation and expansion. Other trinities survive in our world - body, soul, and spirit, and the three division of mind - conscious, subconscious, and super-conscious. The Trinity, triad and trine - the three dimensions. In a larger sense, the 3 stands for multiplication and growth.

Tarot Symbolism: The Empress is also an aspect of the subconscious mind. Subconscious response to that memory which produces growth through the imagination. Dominion over the world of creation through love. Epitome of creation and abundance.

Astrological Correspondence: Jupiter (and Venus) from the foregoing delineations of number 3 (Jupiter) and the key (the Empress, Venus), these attributes work in conjunction to bring about productivity. Venus seeks to bring harmony and beauty into whatever environment she appears. Her keen sense of justice manifests through a fine symmetry, and her loving nature seeks to make others as well as herself comfortable... When Venus unites with Jupiter, who desire to expand services for humanity through orderly growth, an extremely productive and fertile situation results.

Prairie dog, “Animal Spirit Guides,” by: Steven D. Farmer, PhD.
    • You know when and how to pull back from situations and relationships that could potentially drain your energy.
    • You’re able to go with the flow and rarely get rattled about anything.
    • You’re a sociable individual with strong ties to your community.
    • If there’s something bugging you, and have no clue, you need some time to dig in and analyze it in order to understand what it is.

I say: Life’s an etch-a-sketch doodle, there’s lots of space for the rest to unfold.

    Hearts,
    Paula

As anyone "blessed" with *very* many planets in Libra ... all possibilities are considered ... and arriving at the answer most always painful if not impossible.

    Hey ... I talk nonsense ...
