I was thinking of another peculiar thing today - where are the injured?

Have anyone seen any interview with a person that actually got injured?

Don't get me wrong, I am glad that the media giving them some space after the horrifying event... but honestly, that is very uncommon for the media to give them that space.

Not one interview with the people that actually have some information first hand, not even with the people taking care of the injured, except Carlos (or what his name was) that took care of the guy that lost his legs.

What about that MIT Policeman that supposedly got killed by the two brothers. What happened to him? No information anymore regarding this tragic event either?!

(Further down in same article)... The officer was critically injured in an early morning shootout Friday with the two suspects in the marathon bombings. One of the suspects was killed.

First they say no arrest have been made and they looking for the shooter... later they say that it was a shootout and the shooter got killed!

...Collier was shot Thursday evening following an altercation at the corner of Vassar Street and Main Street in Cambridge, roughly between Building 32 (Stata Center) and Building 76 (David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research) on the MIT campus. He was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The MIT Police, Cambridge Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are continuing their investigation of the circumstances surrounding Collier’s death.

If he died during a shootout with the brothers, why the need of an investigation of the circumstances surrounding his dead? It is pretty obvious what caused his dead in that case, isn't it?


Jeez, I wonder if they who planned this false flag operation (if it is a false flag, that is) even know what they doing?

AS Boston observed a moment of silence, Heather Abbott was following through on a difficult decision - allowing doctors to amputate her left foot.

The 38-year-old Rhode Island woman's foot was badly damaged in the bombings that shattered the Boston Marathon.

From her bed at Brigham and Women's Hospital on Monday, Ms Abbott reflected on the terror of April 15 - and on the waves of agony and grace that followed in the week since.

"I'm trying to be positive about things," she told The Associated Press in a telephone interview before her surgery. "And hope that my life doesn't have to change much."

The day of the bombings, Abbott and a half-dozen friends took in the traditional Patriots' Day Red Sox game at Fenway Park. They left early and headed to Forum, where a friend tends bar and where former New England Patriots were gathered to raise money for offensive guard Joe Andruzzi's cancer foundation.

The restaurant is at 755 Boylston Street, not far from the marathon's finish line.

Ms Abbott was at the back of the long line, waiting as bouncers checked ID's, when the first blast went off. Unlike many, she knew exactly what it was.

"I felt like I was watching the footage on 9/11," said Abbott, who works in human resources for Raytheon Company in Portsmouth, R.I.

Ms Abbott was scrambling to get off the sidewalk when the force of a second blast blew her through the restaurant doorway.

After she'd regained her senses, she tried to stand, but her left foot felt "as if it were on fire." Unable to find her friends in the smoke and confusion, she called out to the panicked crowd.

"Somebody, please help me," she shouted as people scrambled for the rear exits, not knowing whether there were more explosions to come. She'd begun to give up hope when a woman walked up and began dragging her toward the door, quietly reciting a Catholic prayer as she tugged.

"Hail Mary, full of grace...," the woman intoned.

The woman had pulled Ms Abbott a few feet when a burly man stepped in, picked her up and carried her out the back door into an alley. She would later learn it was former Patriots linebacker Matt Chatham.

Jason Geremia spotted them and shouted, "Please give her to me. She's my friend."

The linebacker lay Ms Abbott on the ground and rushed off to help others. Friend Alfred Colonese of Newport, R.I., took off his belt and used it as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

Someone found a piece of wood in the alley. The friends were preparing to carry her out on it when a medic appeared and told them not to move her. Soon, rescuers appeared with a gurney and wheeled Ms Abbott back through the Forum and out the front door, Colonese said.

Ms Abbott didn't have the heart to look at her foot, but as she was being carried away, she glanced back and saw a trail of her blood.

She was loaded into a packed ambulance: Beside her was a man on a gurney, an oxygen mask covering his mouth and nose. As a worker inserted an IV into her arm, Ms Abbott could hear the driver shouting to the crowd outside, "Make a hole! Make a hole!"

Rescuers asked her repeatedly for her first and last names. A woman asked if there was someone she wanted them to call. In a world of cell phones and speed dial, the only number she knows by heart was her parents' back in Lincoln, R.I.

Ms Abbott could tell that her mother, Rosemary, was frantically asking questions. The man simply told her that her daughter had been injured, and that she and her husband, Dale, should come to Brigham.

During the ambulance ride, Ms Abbott struggled to keep her eyes open.

"I felt like if I closed them," she said, "maybe I wouldn't be able to open them again."

When the ambulance arrived, workers rushed Ms Abbott to surgery, where doctors stabilized her and cleaned her wound. She had a second surgery on Thursday to clean the wound and allow specialists to better assess the situation. The blast had broken her ankle and shattered several small bones in her foot.

That same day, first lady Michelle Obama visited Ms Abbott's room. She told Ms Abbott how brave she was, and gave her a presidential "challenge coin" - a token traditionally presented to wounded service members and their families. One side bears the presidential seal, the other an engraving of the White House.

Ms Abbott's courage was about to be tested.

Specialists explained that if she kept the foot, it might never fully heal. She would be in chronic pain, and her left leg might be shorter than the other. But the decision was ultimately hers.

The hospital brought in people who had suffered similar injuries, and had chosen amputation and prosthetics. One was a runner; another played football; a third still goes snowboarding.

Ms Abbott, who earned an accounting degree at Stonehill College and studied nights at Providence College for her master's in business administration, didn't really do sports in school. But she runs and does aerobics, and enjoys paddle-boarding off Newport in the summertime.

Encouraged by her visitors that she could lead a normal life, she agreed to the amputation. "It sounded to me like the best case scenario," she said.

Ms Abbott never could muster the courage to look at her injured foot. She hates the sight of blood, and that was a memory she didn't want to have to live with.

In a three-hour operation Monday afternoon - midway through which Ms Abbott's family and the entire hospital joined in the citywide moment of silence - doctors removed her leg several inches below the knee. Her father said everything went well.

"She's my hero," Dale Abbott said, his voice cracking with emotion. "She's stronger than I am. I'm constantly having meltdowns, and she knows what has to be done, and she's right there with it."

Doctors told his daughter it would be about four weeks before she could be fitted with a temporary prosthetic.

Floating on a cloud of pain medication and family/friend support in the days before the surgery, Ms Abbott hadn't watched any television until Monday morning. To brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the alleged bombers, she has given hardly a thought.

"People have let me know that the second one (Dzhokhar) was caught," she said. "And I don't think I've really begun to process how that makes me feel yet."

Tamerlan, the older brother, was killed in a gunfight with police. Asked whether Dzhokhar should face the death penalty for the three killed and nearly 200 wounded in the blasts, she demurred.

"I just haven't really even gone to that place yet in my head," she said. "I don't feel the anger that I'm sure I will at some point."

Instead, she is focusing on healing - and on the people who risked their lives to help her.

"They were sort of free and clear and could have left," she said. "That thought is just overwhelming to me."

Net Assessment of USG Capacity to Handle Domestic Terrorism –BOSTON MARATHON ATTACK: Major Disaster for POTUS; WH National Sec Staff; FBI; Mueller; Eric Holder; CIA; Boston Police Force; Governor Deval Patrick.

The horrendous handling of the Boston Marathon bombing proved once again that an ACT OF TERRORISM is 96% successful in creating its initial intention—FEAR. But in this particular case---a so-called act of ‘terrorism’ created the ABSOLUTE DREAM of ANY WORLD WIDE TERRORIST---COMPLETE PARALYSIS and LOCKDOWN OF BOSTON AND it’s ENVIRONS!!

The Boston Bombing paralysed a metro area of 4 million through fear alone and the subsequent inept handling of the siege.



In crisis management, there are three basic principles which the founding fathers of Counter Terrorism and Hostage Negotiation initiated and taught over thirty years of experience:

[1] Control –Media, Violence, and Complexity of Situation.

[2] Minimize the Theater of Fear and Terrorism—this is the most inviolate principle which differentiates the amateur from the professional crisis manager. The press is borne and embedded as part and parcel of the theater of terrorism.

The more media coverage, the greater the impact of the fear.

The reporters become the RESONATORS and AMPLIFIERS of the fear factor. The job of the professional is to eliminate that factor by not reporting events or ‘managing’ the media coverage.

In my experience, I literally cut off the access of the networks to the perpetrators. Even in the age of the internet it is even easier to control the ‘official’ media coverage through silence and ‘no responses’. But once the media is asked to help in the apprehension of the perpetrator, the crisis is now controlled by the terrorists.



The FBI’s decision to release the pictures of the perpetrators and requesting the public to help in the apprehension of the two brothers may have been good police work but it was terrible counter-terrorist crisis management.

I have run crises with 500 Hostages in three buildings in Washington DC with several already dead, my one and only job was to free the hostages, minimize the impact the fear of the terrorism in Washington DC and protect the office of the presidency.

[3] NEVER ESCALATE the CRISIS to the level where the POTUS is involved in either decision making or the appearance of decision making.



The reason is simple.

If the POTUS gets involved as OBAMA invariably did and Jimmy Carter had wanted to do , it places the OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENCY and THEREFORE the SYMBOL of the USG as a HOSTAGE to the ACT OF TERRORISM.

This is a no-no!

It was the professional obligation of the FBI crisis manager and especially his boss, MUELLER, not to involve POTUS or the WH in any of the decision making process.

But as usual, the FBI failed.

The FBI should have insisted on a gag order on any and all participants to minimize the fear factor but once again, they did the opposite….

So who won in this CRISIS of “TERRORISM”?

The terrorists made Boston look like the catastrophes that our own military has created in Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Yemen and Somalia.

This terrorist action brought home the atrocities that we americans don’t see when we illegally invaded and destroyed muslim countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Egypt, and Syria.

So what are the lessons that we American citizens have to learn from this tragedy?

[1] We should demand from our legislators an independent investigation of the FBI handling of the crisis. What went wrong??



[2] Mueller, the Director of the FBI, should be investigated for incompetence, starting with a history antedating the FALSE FLAG 9/11 Attack. Seems our legislators are afraid of him, as they were of J Edgar Hoover, so it will depend on the American public to insist on exposing Mueller’s actions during the 9/11 cover up and now his mishandling of Boston.

[3] The Boston Police Dept should also be investigated for the way they handled the entire situation. It’s standard procedure. Where did they make mistakes and where did they succeed.

[4] The WH National Security Staff –filled with novitiates—should be seriously cross examined for their incompetency and lack of demonstrated experience in Crisis Management.

In particular, Lisa Monaco, rumored to be the next head of the FBI. Who is she? What are her qualifications for counter terrorism other than political cronyism?

Denis McDonough –has proven to be one of the WORST CHIEFS of STAFF in the past thirty years. As far as I know, he was basically a speech writer who wandered into areas in which he was completely incompetent to run, like foreign policy or domestic crises.

It is the prerogative of Obama to choose any one he wants, but clearly his inexperience in both domestic and foreign policy has become so blatant. Crises after mis-handled crises….real or not, it ain’t leadership, folks! Osama bin Laden “faked” killing, the real death of our ambassador in Benghazi, the false flag of Sandy Hook, Arab winter, sanctioned torture and now this mess in Boston- this is what Obama hath wrought. With leadership like this, who needs it??

But where is our favorite group in all this mess in Boston? Constantly Incompetent Agency worked with these two brothers and the Chechen terrorists.



The Russian FSB asked our FBI about one of the brothers and his activities in Chechnya with the so-called islamist terrorists. The FSB knew what many of us in the Intelligence world knew, that the CIA has been creating strategic tensions around the countries called the CIS- all those in central Asia which separated from the Soviet Union in the 1990s.

Let’s ask our CIA for a briefing on how the Chechen family received political asylum in the early 2000s ?? then why the parents returned back to Russia leaving their wealthy sons to live in Cambridge Mass? I don’t see a conspiracy, I see a FUBAR by our USG both domestically and in Foreign Policy!

One of my readers maintains that we just need 3% to start seriously questioning and demanding answers:

Why are we at war?

Why do we commit and sanction torture?

Why are we spending money on police/military equipment when our schools and roads are deteriorating?

Why are we shipping 10 billion dollars worth of military equipment to Israel and the UAE?

What is this Homeland Security monster that is sucking all of our taxpayer money?

Keep at it, they are messing up like crazy.

"All I feel is joy," said Dr. George Velmahos, chief of trauma surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, referring to his hospital's 31 blast patients. "Whoever came in alive stayed alive."

As of Monday, 51 people remained hospitalized, three of them in critical condition. At least 14 people lost all or part of a limb; three of them lost more than one.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had gunshot wounds to the head, neck, legs and hands when he was captured hiding out in a boat in a backyard in the Boston suburb of Watertown, authorities said...

Interesting to notice is all the wounds that Tsarnaev apparently have... and still he managed to leave the boat by himself according to some pictures...

There are a lots of students in Massachusetts Institute of Technology... and it is the institute of technology for crying out loud.... and students normally have at least one cell phone and love them... and NO ONE have any pictures or cell phone video of the shootout that took place?

I have not had time to properly assess all the information, so I am withholding any opinions or analysis until I have had time to properly review what happened there. My only thought so far is that I do see people jumping to unsupported conclusions in some cases. I am of the opinion that we really have to go with only what we can be absolutely certain is true. Engaging in too much speculation leaves us open to manipulation.

If things are getting more crazy this year, I'd like to share something my teacher told me. She told me not to get caught up in events energetically. If there is an alien invasion, notice it with the same amount of charge that you notice that you are almost out of milk. Do not feed the energy.

Regardless of who is behind this, they want us to get excited, frightened, outraged, etc.

I've posted many posts about GITMO mainly from RT reports and a very few other
sources. The US seems to be reluctant to close it while 'The War On Terror' is still
officially going on in Washington . Mainly as far as I can see it gives them options
where to keep people out of the way if they have to invade/raid say Syria, Pakistan,
Yemen or somewhere and grab some prisoners. Its as if the prison is linked to
the 'War on Terror' to give it legitimacy in their eyes. So each event validates
it not being closed down imo.

Joint Hazardous Materials Assessment Teams (JHAT) and Joint Hazardous Explosive Response Teams (JHERT) have been developed for response to reported hazmat and explosive threats or incident in and around the venues. The JHATs and JHERTs consist of experienced personnel from different disciplines and levels of government, co-located in a single discreet response vehicle, ATV, or in a walking unit. The JHATs and JHERTs provide the incident commander a low-profile team that can unobtrusively assess the need for further specialized assets, allowing those valuable assets to remain available for actual incidents. Depending on the need for high level security at the event, a Bomb Management Center (BMC) may be part of the assessment team process. The BMC oversees the response of all explosive-related assets to include the coordinated response of the JHERT.

The local agency providing primary hazmat response in the community, typically the fire department, fills a position in the JHAT, and the last position in the JHAT may be either state/local law enforcement hazmat, or state national guard civil support team personnel. The JHAT also carries a basic detection and monitoring capability.

So, it's not unusual to have those men there. In light of the above information, the suspicion cast upon the warranting of such a crew at this event is no longer conspiracy worthy. It's standard protocol to have them there. Also, the fact that JHATs operate as a "low-profile team" to make "unobtrusive" assessments with "basic detection and monitoring capability" further supports the evidence that the backpacks were bomb detection equipment.

The only thing left unanswered is about the suspects, suspicion about the FBI fostering terrorist plots, and this Saudi National. Which, to be honest, Glenn Beck's sources may be feeding him disinformation in attempts to smear his credibility.

Somebody "up top" may have known this would've/could've happened, but it won't be proved by the presence of the CST.

The gov't won't let this crisis go to waste and rumors/news of fresh legislation are already emerging in the wake of this event.

The lady in red moved to this new position. and the guy with hoodie who assisted with putting on the fake amputated legs rolled into this position, here causually chatting - the amputee guy is completly missing.... weird as the fence is still up and the white hat guy is also casually watching and there are no medics or helpers in place.

First of all thank you all who have been posting in this thread a lot of good information is compiled here.

As far as "fake" blood and such...Someone said in this thread why would they have actors when TPTW do not care about loss of life. I agree. And there were thousands of people as witnesses.

One piece of the puzzle that is missing is that there is no testimony from the man in the black Mercedes SUV that was carjacked. I can not find anything except that he has not been identified.

Why is this not being talked about?

Also why is MSN reporting that the older brother got killed by being run over by the younger brother, when we are seeing video's on the internet of the older brother being taken out of a vehicle and moved into another vehicle?

And if the brother did run over his brother...

How did the older brother get out of the SUV in Watertown during the shooting? Did the other brother get out too? If he did, how did he get back in and drive it?

If the police had the older brother on the ground, away from the SUV, and moved away when the SUV came toward them, did they leave him on the ground as the car approached? Why didn’t they take the older brother with them?

What really happened to the MIT security guard who was shot and killed? We are not hearing anything about that either? Why were the Brothers at MIT?

And as far as the younger brother is concerned every one who has talked about him that knows him can not fathom how he could have been a part of this?

I think "they" are deliberately putting these obviously conflicting stories out. I think they are hoping for an armed insurrection so they then have a so called valid excuse to pull out the heavy artillery, drones etc. and perhaps even declare National martial law.

Don't give them what they want. Try to mention a few of these conflicting stories to friends & relatives in a non threatening way. Make comments like "I wonder if the government is trying to bring in laws to to restrict our freedoms, if so we will soon be hearing about it". Hopefully doing that will get them thinking.

However, one should still consider the following:
Who owns the banking system? Who owns the media?
Certainly, if you haven't noticed, AIPAC - 'America's pro-Israel lobby' - owns the U.S. Congress.

Boston Bombing: Citizen video-analysts create (Major Problems) for controlled media

You’re a reporter for a TV news outlet.

You’ve become aware of a disturbing trend. Thousands of private citizens are now analyzing video and photographs of crime scenes and posting their findings.

They’re hounds, and they can’t be stopped. They’re looking at news footage, casual video, photos, and what they’re coming up with challenges the official story lines your network pushes.

Some of their analysis is ridiculous, but some of it isn’t.

For example, video footage of the first bomb in Boston doesn’t appear to show any shrapnel damage to the fencing near the explosion, or to the blue canopy just above the street. You, the reporter, wonder about that.



The now-famous 78-year-old runner who fell down in the street, just after the first explosion? Security personnel wearing yellow jackets were standing closer to the bomb, but they didn’t wobble or duck or waver. You, the reporter, wonder about that, too.



You, the reporter, see a photo of a storefront which was presumably right next to the first bomb. The windows are blown out. But all the glass is lying in the street, which would indicate the force of the explosion was coming from inside the store. How is that possible, you ask yourself.



Then there are the quickly circulating photos of the man in the wheelchair. He’s missing large parts of both legs. People are pushing the chair. His legs are bleeding. But other posted photos? Do they show he already was wearing prosthetics? Is it true he should already be dead from the massive blood loss? You, the reporter, are disturbed by this.



You also look at several photos of the pressure-cooker bomb. In the twisted metal remains, you see discoloration, but no signs the nails or ball bearings in the bomb penetrated the pressure cooker or pitted it or ended up embedded in it.



You look at photos of men standing near the Marathon finish line, the men in identical uniforms, who have variously been described as Navy Seals, Coast Guard, and Craft International security personnel.



What were they doing there? Running a drill? Watching suspects or patsies or bomb-planters? What was going on?

You look at a photo of the younger Tsarnaev brother leaving the scene after the bombs went off. He’s still…wearing his backpack? And another photo, the one of the ripped-apart backpack on the ground. Is that a white square on it? Because one of the Seal-Craft-Coast Guard guys had a white square on his intact backpack…and is that him, leaving the scene of the bombing without that backpack? Hmmm…



You, the reporter, now face several quandaries.

First, if you decide to look into all this, you’ll have to do actual work. Investigation. That isn’t part of your job description. You basically talk to official sources, obtain their statements, repeat them, and sound like you know what you’re talking about. Investigation? What’s that?

Second, if you undertake a serious inquiry, you’re going to have to verify that all these photos and all this video footage are pristine and haven’t been altered or cropped in order to mislead.

You’ll have to find experts to help you. More work. You’re already feeling exhausted, just thinking about it.

On the other hand, your network has shown faked and cropped photos and edited footage in the past, to slant stories. So maybe you can get by with less work.

However, there is a rule in your business. Reporters aren’t allowed to follow their noses. They aren’t allowed to do investigations on their own. They most definitely aren’t permitted to do technical analysis of evidence, like crime-scene photos or video. No, all technical interpretation has to come from government agencies.

If you go off the reservation, you’ll take heavy hits from your bosses.

But all this is meaningless. It’s just mental masturbation, because, finally, you know there is no possible way your producer will allow you to present evidence that the official Boston scenario has gaping holes in it.

Your own network has the explicit job of promoting that scenario.

You’d be torpedoing your own people. Professional suicide. Just walking into your producer’s office and pointing to issues raised by private-citizen analysis of video? It would put you on a watch list.

Your producer would think, “This guy’s gone soft in the head. He wants to pursue a story on his own. He must be some kind of grandstanding goof. He doesn’t have a firm grip on things. He doesn’t know what his job really is. And he wants to raise doubts about the Boston bombing? Wow…”

To the degree that you have any shred of conscience left, you’re in a bind. Maybe it’s the moment to offload that last bit of idealism and go completely corporate. It’s not as if you’ve been challenging your bosses; you’ve just been asking yourself questions privately. So what’s the problem? Just stop asking the questions.

Maybe you’re depressed. Maybe you should go in and see a shrink and get a script for Zoloft. Something to take the edge off. Of course, then you’d have to cut back on your drinking. Screw that. Just up the booze. Have a few more every night after work. Make the coffee stronger in the morning.



Wait. An idea is forming.

It’s coming.

Sit there. Let it formulate.

Mmmm….

Yes. Yes! Here it is. Some of these video hounds are saying no one at all was hurt or killed in Boston; the whole bombing thing was a hoax. Well, tell that to the doctors at the hospitals who were doing amputations.

Okay. Okay. Now you’re on to something. You can feel it. There’s an obvious way to destroy all this wildcat video evidence in one fell swoop and, at the same time, endear yourself to your bosses.

They’ll be grateful. You can rack up some brownie points. They’ll think of you as a company man. A tough defender of the realm, their realm.

Anyway, you’ve got a deadline to meet. You have to put something together. It may as well be this:

Take the most radical opinions these video hounds are promoting, package them all into one article, and imply that every hound is a complete freak. All their video analysis must be wrong, because they’re all crazy. It’s the old rejection by generality. And by ad hominem. By straw man. Didn’t you learn something about those logical fallacies in college? Time to put them to use.

Do the conspiracy-theorist thing. Say these weirdos have far too much time on their hands. And what else? They’re dangerous. Sure. Refer back to that FBI dude who’s in charge of the Boston investigation, DesLauriers, who said people should focus on helping the investigation by looking at certain photos and no others.

How did he put it? He said there were irrelevant photos out there, and if people tipped the FBI to them, they’d overload agents and delay the search for the bombers.

That’s it. These private video hounds are dangerous. They’re giving people too much information.

So they have crazy ideas, one. They’re saying nobody was hurt, there were no bombs, two. They’re claiming all the bleeding people at the Marathon were actors brought in from some outfit in Colorado, three. They’re saying these massacre ops are designed to shut down freedom in America, four. They’re dangerous, five.

Roll all that up into a ball and you’re good to go. Whatever they’ve actually got in terms of troubling and disturbing and truthful video and photo evidence will disappear in a sea of ridicule.

Perfect.

Imply there are two basic classes of people: the normals and the crazies. The crazies are threatening the rest of us. They’re multiplying like fruit flies. They’re swarming the Internet. They’re disrespecting the wounded and dead—don’t forget that one. How dare they come out with all this insanity as the families are grieving and in turmoil.

Yeah. There is only one true stream of information, and the public has to know it. It comes from the major networks. There has to be a central story line, because if there isn’t, the whole country will fall into chaos. Don’t actually say that, but realize you’re on the side of the angels here. You’re standing tall against the barbarians at the gates.

Right. You’re giving the audience a CHOICE. Do they want to be nuts, or do they want to be normal. Normal is the wave of the future. Soon, that’s all there will be. The others will be wiped out. They have no cache. They have no right to challenge the order of things.

Isn’t that what Arthur Jensen said in the movie Network? There is one planetary, galactic order of things, and everybody has live under it.

Expand the piece. Take it all the way back to 9/11, and the loonies who claimed the towers couldn’t have been taken down by the planes. Yeah. They said there were bombs inside the buildings. They said Building 7 didn’t go down from a fire. Idiots.

Why not do history? Makes you sound smarter. JFK. “Oswald didn’t act alone.” That’s where it all started, that’s how the conspiracy germ spread. It was a disease.

That’s a great metaphor. The plague of conspiracy theories. It had a ground zero, in Dallas, on November 22nd, 1963. From there, the virus moved through time. It’s all one epidemic.

Call a few shrinks. Get comments from them. A psychological pandemic. These guys always want face time. Give it to them. Let them speculate on why the plague is accelerating.

Geez. Maybe this could become a three-part series. “We investigate the trend of conspiracy thinking. Why is it happening? Who are these people? Where do they come from? What do they really want?”

Then…oh yeah. We find some guy who was a conspiracy nut but he woke up and realized he was about to go off the cliff, so he stepped back. He was addicted. It was an addiction. He had alienated his whole family and all his friends.

Then he had a revelation. He saw what had happened to him. Get a few juicy quotes. “I needed a way to rebel against society, so I chose this. It was a fad. I joined up. It was a kind of cult. I made new friends. But then I saw that these people weren’t like me. I was ruining my life. I was walking around paranoid all the time…I finally came to my senses…”

Nail down the place and time when he woke up. Maybe take a camera crew there. “This was the spot. I was walking along this stretch of beach one night, all alone, and it hit me. I was isolated. I had no ties left to my community…”

Yeah. Plays very well. Do you want to be in the cold, on the outside, or do you want to be near the hearth, where the tribe is safe?

With a series, a three-part “investigation,” you could establish yourself as the go-to guy whenever a new conspiracy theory pops up. They’d come to you. You, the expert. This could be a very good career move.

And why pretend? That’s what you’re in this for, isn’t it? A career? So stop fooling around with all the freakazoid photo and video evidence. Just go for it.

IT'S a WAR. The independent journalists and bloggers and video loons are trying to steal food out of your kids’ mouths. You can lie down in the road or you can fight back. If you’re going to fight, take off the gloves. Screw that half-way stuff.

Who knows more about conspiracies than anyone else? The CIA, the FBI, the intelligence community. Hell, after a few years of attacking the weirdos and nutballs out there, you might graduate up into a more distinguished and rarefied atmosphere, where real conspiracies are planned and carried out for the sake of national security. The real stuff, the right stuff.

You could become a “our national intelligence correspondent.” Wouldn’t that be something. You’d have access to the big boys and some of their secrets. You’d prove you could be trusted.

You’d never have to look at another foot of video put together by losers who’ll never get within a thousand miles of real news.

You’ll never have to wonder whether you’re doing the right thing. You’ll live in a place that’s far from the madding crowd. You’ll drink single malt instead of rotgut. You’ll sit down with senators and lobbyists and bankers and diplomats.

You’ll turn into a controlled drunk who knows when to start and when to stop. You’ll find inner peace and all that crap, knowing you’re serving the best interests of your country and the people who own it and run it.

You’ll write a movie script about the Agency stopping a terrorist plot in New York. You’ll meet people from Hollywood.

One night, high above the city of angels, a beautiful actress will take you in her arms…

And some day, through your CIA connections, you’ll learn about a brain-bending scandal that’s brewing under the surface of Washington, and they’ll give you the green light to go out there and dig up the information you already have in your back pocket.

You’ll be Bob Woodward and the doors will open for you wherever you go.

You’ll be unstoppable.

You’ll be the man who finds out all the secrets.

Except the real ones.
