Sadly most people are sheep. They have been trained to read short articles, not books. That is why I have cut this post in 2. most people will scroll past long posts and it is more likely to be read if it is short(er).

I think ET would have taken over or written us off but for that 3-6% of humans who do radiate an aura of real understanding.

look at alot of members here for a start. Instead of congratulating Stephen Bassett and Steven Greer, they rubbish the hell out of him (Greer).

Even here at Avalon, I have to sort through a huge deal of 'noise' to find some 'signal'. I would say that 3-6% is about right-sadly.

I feel the yogi types are right. Nevermind trying to convince anyone else of anything. I know what I do when I see the Jehovahs witness or the Mormons approaching my door! I am not rude at all, I respectfully decline.

That is the point. How many 'respectfully decline'? Many actually think they are superior to these 'messangers' when they scoff and snigger while loading the shotgun to shoot them.

The Yogi does not mind what you believe. he/she knows what they know and are not going to be swayed from their path by anyone or anything.

Disclosure is there for those that want it. Those that don't are free to 'disbelieve' and those that do are provided with so much info on the web it is hard to deny ETs once you take a serious look at it.

Just because such items are thought to be non-existant and/or ridiculous doesn't mean Govts won't be spending money on them.

Here in New Zealand about 10 years ago a small group at Waikato university had a $100,000 grant to study, hunt or chase (call it what you will!) ghosts!

It wasn't untill the local mainstream media got wind of it, made a mockery of it that their funding was pulled and they were shut down.

A very similar thing happened recently at Wanganui Hospital that was trialing out healers on patients.

They were approved funding untill some higher ups felt threatened and started the typical name calling of 'witch doctors' in this case. made offical complaints to the 'board; and the funding was pulled.

What this suggests to me is you can get funding etc... untill someone complains. exactly the same policy that councils and other regulatory forces have.

What will be required to undo this programming?

'Nothing much' in 2001 notably includes 911 which kind of swept everything else under the carpet, the disappearance of 2.3 trillion dollars and also any momentum the disclosure movement might have been building up.

What makes it different this time? A quieter year in 2013 maybe - and in 2014 - these things take time and persistence.

'Undoing the programming' starts with the people who are comfortable with this material reacting accordingly. If members of forums like this play down the importance of such events, what chance do the people supposedly 'in denial' have of being taken on board? If they are waiting 'for approval from an authority', some of that authority comes from Avalon!

Talking about 'defusing the power of the event' is potentially a surreptitious way of doing just that

Unfortunately they won't be listening anyway and if the TV just happens to be on and one person in the room asks 'what is that' the reply will be 'oh some nonsense about UFOs I think'.

You have to already be interested in the topic otherwise it goes right over your head.
The good news is that after email and pornography, the most commonly searched thing on the internet is UFOs and aliens.

I understand Dr Greers Press conference in 2001 went out on the internet and broke records then and crashed servers etc...

Mainstream media paid little attention, I did see a 30 sec clip just to say that it had happened.

But here we are 12 years later, mainstream media is no longer respected the way it was. Most people get their news and info from the web now. More people have computers and know how to use them.

Computers were only around 650 Mhz then, very slow by todays standards. No broadband remember either. very slow dial up modem only. Even a single core 3Ghz machine from 2005 is 5 times as powerful.

This event is another drop or 10 in the bucket. It all helps to one day add up to an overflowing bucket. It may be another 20 years for the 'man in the street' to know it as 'common knowledge'.

Because us here don't want to wait that long we just search the web and find out for ourselves. we don't need a govt who had been lying for 70 years to tell us anything anyway do we?

Would we believe them if they did admit to something anyway? Would we believe them if they told us they had released all the info they had? I think not.

It takes a government document to get people that are asleep to take UFO's as real ...Thats the sad sad truth... they must hear it from government and see it on CNN ...ohhhh now it's real, now we believe ... those crazy UFO people were telling the truth ...

I've showed people the CNN videos about dozens of US military people coming forward and testifying about UFO's disabling nukes over the last 50 years and they still don't believe it... or they shrug it off and say "whatever". Then they go to Starbucks... or home to watch American Idol.

Good stuff. It all counts. If I was in the US at the moment, I'd very probably be there too.

I know Steve Bassett, and have great respect for him. He tirelessly attends all the events, and visited Zurich in 2010 where the Swiss Groundcrew hosted an evening for him. Rich Dolan I also count as a friend, and is every bit as grounded, sane and intelligent as he always appears. The two of them, respectable, informed and articulate, do a pretty good job to counter the perceived 'crackpot' image of ufology which the MSM almost always tries to spin.

Media And Political Ridicule Raise Their Heads During D.C. UFO Hearing

While these congressional-style hearings are going on in Washington, there's an ongoing influx of stories coming out in the media by writers who claim that this is just an exercise in futility among UFO buffs looking for instant publicity, and that the participants -- witness panels and the committee of former members of Congress -- are involved in nothing but a farce and an easy payday.

The New York Daily News today highlights a statement by U.S. Rep. Peter King of New York, in which he outright ridicules one of the military witnesses at the D.C. hearings, Ret. Air Force Capt. Robert Salas (pictured below).

Salas has a credible background as a weapons controller and launch officer of intercontinental ballistic missiles and has previously spoken about a 1967 incident at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana when signals went off indicating an intrusion at the missile site, followed by missiles "going into an unlaunchable, or no-go, mode," all during the appearance of a UFO over the base.

Salas says he sent documents about this case to King, the former House Homeland Security Chairman and believes King is ignoring him. According to the Daily News, when King was asked about Salas' claim, here's how he responded: "I have no idea what the guy is talking about. We are always getting crazy stuff in the mail by people whose brain has been taken over by aliens or something."

Really, Mr. King? As a representative of the people, is that the proper way to refer to one of many respected military men entrusted with the safety of our country -- to just shrug him off by referring to the evidence he sent you as "crazy stuff" and to further ridicule him by basically saying his brain was "taken over by aliens"?

It's high time that elected officials think twice before making pronouncements about things like UFOs, simply because they either have a personal bias against the subject OR they've been told to inflict that kind of attitude on the public.

Either way, a big reason why these people have come together in Washington this week is to try and open a serious look into a subject that doesn't deserve the kind of ridicule that people like King throw around.

I still just do not understand why we continue to breathlessly await this thing, amongst a whole series of others like mass arrests, ascension, etc.

We don't trust anything else officials tell us (and for good reason), so why this? If someone can simply explain to me as they would to a third grader, how and why this is not yet another psyop, I'm all ears.
