Here and Now...What's Happening?

Oh, don't you freaking hate it when you lose a long post? Cripey.

Must have been onto something, let's see if I can re-create the share.

I will start with Em's "chutzpah" as that is what I was sharing when everything disappeared. She has such childlike qualities, her silliness, her boredom with people who repeat anything, her simpleness...that sometimes her insights and in-your-face kind of attitude make me laugh, they surprise me. She was given an assignment at school, a two page essay on any topic. What did she choose? The separation of church and state, more specifically religion in the classroom. Bwahahahaha

This comes during the same week Mrs. B. told the class that Satan had whispered in her ear that she was too old for her to find another love (after her husband passed away.) While my heart goes out to this woman, because this must be such a lonely and difficult time, telling 8th graders this is really, truly inappropriate. She also shared to Em's class that she had been crying during the class period before theirs...several days in a row.

So, upon hearing this comment, "Satan has been whispering in my ear," Em's thought was, "gee, Mrs. B., that's not Satan. That's called having fears and doubts. The way you offset these is by having hopes and dreams. It's called being human. And all you are doing is feeding the nonexistent monster when you attribute these things to it." Em said to me, "it's a lot like calling Valdemort "he who shall not be named" (or whatever that line is). Not saying the name does nothing, you still give "it" power by referring to it that way."

Sometimes, I tell ya, this child has me in awe. I wonder what the world will be like in 10 years...when those (few) kids and young adults who are truly different are taking on roles in "the real world." Yes, I see the negative...but never before have I seen such wisdom. I know kids have always said the darnedest things, and they have always been full of wisdom, so maybe it is Me who is changing...still...I have to wonder...

Got that posted okay. Phew. On to gardening news.

We are ending up with quite the interesting back yard. We have these three raised beds Mike constructed, they are now completely full. Next step there is going to be making some trellises. In a square foot garden, there's no place to grow but up. He also put a fence of chicken wire around this area, and it has done a good job of keeping four-legged critters out. (The home-made fence is downright cute, but I don't think I would tell Mike that.) And every morning I water this garden with the rainwater from the barrels, gravity powered. It's really cool.

I'm not sure whether Mike got bored with this type of gardening or what, seemed like it was fulfilling his creative instincts okay, but now we have two other types of gardens started. Next to the "fenced" area, we now have a 4x8 foot bed tilled and dug, about 4 inches deep. And in this rectangular hole, he has dropped in a wood frame with a chicken wire bottom. And beside that, he tilled two rows of the previous owner's garden spot. One of these will be for corn and squash (new type of gardening-companion planting) and one of these will be potatoes. This is quite interesting. Good thing my OCD is being served keeping the house in order or it might bother me to look outside, haha.

That's all for now. A lot more than I've shared in a while. Loads of things on my mind, not able to articulate much though. I'm surprised by the synchronicities I have been experiencing in the Here and Now. Ancestors, herbs and oils, tons of stuff but those pop out at me as I reflect. Tons of synchronicies in real life, too. In times like this, I always wonder what it is that I'm doing right. I never know, haha, but I wish I did so I can keep doing them.

Husband and I are going to Barbados later this month...this time for two weeks only. So we booked us a short term rental near the kids.
I called my good friend and former landlady to inform her....(she only rents her apartment long term) and that I will relieve her of my stuff which I left in a storage box at her place,

anyway...the synchronicity is this:
she will be traveling on the same flight to Miami that we are on when we leave. How about that?
Now it remains to be seen how close together our seats are.
Neither one of us knew of the other's travel plans when we booked our flights.

I’m aware of how different people have had different reactions to The Citizens Hearing on Disclosure that’s taken place; reactions regarding why it may have been allowed to take place and what agendas it may be serving. But whatever questions can (and should) arise around it happening I find it to be historic, another drop in the wave of disclosure that has been happening for many years in many ways, and I’m very interested in what the witnesses have to say.

Although it may not be news to some here, I found this comment by Senator Mike Gravel of interest, in connection to the political situation in Iran.

Whenever anyone speaks out about the distortions or myths created to justify U.S. (or anyone’s) foreign policy, I find it refreshing. Thought I’d share it with you all. This may not be the place for it; but here and now, it’s on my mind.

Ulli, that's a synchronicity alright. Mine are those seeming insignificant, meaningless ones, almost small enough to be dismissed as odd coincidences...but not. Like this one... Last week, Em and I went to the store to get some root beer and ice cream. (We had a ton of fun exploring life on our own last week.) So, we were checking out and the cashier said, "Oh. Root beer floats (genius, lady.) I used to work at the old A&W stand in blah-blah town, and I have some of those glass mugs at home. I got them at a garage sale for a quarter, though." Small town people always have something to share, haha. We got in the car and I had to explain what an A&W stand is to Em. Popular in my youth.

Yesterday, I was cleaning out some more brush (Lordy, does this battle never end?!), and I found a large glass A&W mug.

That is so completely inconsequential and meaningless, haha, and it reveals absolutely no spiritual or physical-world wisdom. But, at the same time...what are the odds?

Of course, then after clearing the brush I came in for a drink of water and glanced at the clock...yep, 11:11. So, I think, okay. I'm on the right track. Whatever track that is. (Better sharpen my tools? haha)

These little moments make me smile, that's what they do. And, I like smiling.

You and your Universe know you don't need flashy signs. But, I'd categorize that as a biggie.

Yes, A&W rootbeer with the frosty mugs, tuna roll and french fries. There's still an A&W the next state over. Trays on the windows. Alas, no rollerskates. Flash headlights when you are done.
