I know that too ... I have had this surety a long time and I felt it was me and those in some kind of collective all holding the place .. but I can not speak for others ..so I just say I know i am holding the place safe hahaha

Here and now,

I am in Quebec City (beautiful city by the way) with my daughter. Her gothic but feminine black and red dress is ironed. It was difficult with all the thule and bows and lace and ribbon corset kind of. We have bought stage make up, eyelashes, new high heel shoes, and she loooooks gorgeous, turning heads around.

Yesterday we went for the sound tests with the professional musicians and local but renown artists. She is participating to the 24hours telethon to raise money for children hospitals in the province. She will sing her composition "beau sort". There are 5 signer/composer/writers competing, all between 16 and 21 years old. Other groups are signers only. If she wins, she makes 1,000$, but we have seen the competition and they are solid.

So, after a little hypnosis session (yes, mom can do it but had a hard time, we were laughing too much), to relax her and allowing for all her resources to be tapped, we are now changing and getting ready. She will be on stage early morning Sunday (like at 4h30-5h00 AM). If she wins, she redo it at 4h00 pm.

So I wish her the best, she had had a extremely tough time lately. This could not be more appropriate for her.

This last trip exhausted me. Not only because I was sick, but because it was so short, and so much had to be crammed into very little time. That deadline thing...to have everything packed and stored by a certain moment...brought an anxiety factor into my normal serene state of being that now that I'm home again with no particular time pressure to worry about, had me collapse into endless naps. Every time I woke up from another nap there was this sense of disorientation...powerful dreams which could not be recalled, three cats with nearly human determination to nail me down on this bed forever, and a changed Avalon and Village atmosphere that reminded me of a ghost town.
Where is everybody?

For reasons I cannot explain, except perhaps that I have recently come to realize that I have no buddies to hang around with any more, I decided to go to my old stomping grounds, the hood I've not seen for about four years now. One moment I was going out to get some tomatoes and the next I'm on a bus heading to Markham Road.
Too bad though, I could not find anyone around, so I ended up at the local watering hole for a few cold ones. The only other person in the bar was a women I know quite well from back in the day. She at one time was on my short list if you know what I mean. We spent a very nice two hours together talking. I don't know what possessed me but I told her I once had a crush on her. I never admit stuff like that. And I was not making a move because I would never cheat on my girl.
That was more excitement than I've had in a very long time, and I did not really do anything exciting. I guess I'm becoming an old stick-in-the-mud. It's just I think I am spending a bit too much time on my own, in my little office, reading, writing and composing. But I don't want to get back into the old ways either so I'm in a bit of a pickle. I gotta find some buddies so I can get out sometimes and just kick it with the guys. But I don't want that to mean I have to go get ****faced.

Look at mine in comparison. You are a prolific poster.
And such excellent content, with links and graphics and a successful thread, a needed thread for the newcomers.
