Here and Now...What's Happening?

A few months ago I found this big spring in one of my project boxes (I have three projects on the go). Beside it was an aluminum tube. My brain went, hey!, what if? ... and the next thing I know I have the spring in the tube and I fashion a dart out of some tin tubing I have, and five minutes later I fire a dart that pierces my chair!

That's all it took. Now two months later I am almost finished my weapon, that will fit onto the end of my staff.

Why am I making a weapon? It does not feel right. I am not a violent man. But something won't let me stop. When it's done I'll post some pictures. Should not be too long - just working on the trigger now...

I'm freaking my wife out with my fixation. I'm sawing, filing, test firing, etc. My office is a mess, screws and springs and tubes and tools all over the place.

I did not know Reiki had a bad rap where one must first appologize for getting into it, 1. What's the problem with Reiki? The only reason I ask is because I just bought a book on it to find out what it is about, I have no idea... Glad you endorse it in the end, though.

wow that angel must have been distracted by fly by super jets .. (not really sure what they call them) ... I mean what else could it have been

I think you meant a jet buzzed his gaurdian angel? The reason for the moral is that he was going too fast to avoid the accident but as he slowed down his gaurdian angel made sure the crash was survivable.

I've been doing Reiki for about a year. It is amazing. I wholeheartedly endorse it. It is a gift, truly. I had no idea there could be a negative spin put on it until I read some thread or other here, on PA. I had to ask how the negativity surrounding it was even possible.

What I gather is that if you are pulled to this path, there need not be a single solitary negative aspect. Period. There isn't one for me, never has been and never will be. When you are ready for the first attunement, I gather you just have to choose someone who you can Trust. I think.

Reilly? Marianne? Playdo? Someone help me out here, haha.

As with any discipline, there are good teachers and bad ones. One must apply the utmost discernment in selecting a person to teach, for its not mere mastery of energy that one needs from their teacher, but mastery of a well rounded spiritual nature. There are plenty of teachers out there who have not applied to themselves fully that which they teach, and a practitioner who has not cleared their own inner garbage may very well share this undesirable material with those they treat along with any positive energy. Look for a teacher who displays genuine humility in the practice, and one who takes the protection of their students very seriously, and one who emphasizes the clearing of self above all. There is much more to tell, and I will be glad to share, but for now I have a store to open.

Other then in sports, were it is possible to coach someone to the top without having experienced it yourself, in spirituality, in a teacher student relation, we are being led by example.
How else are we going to get to the frozen fish sticks?

Especially the clearing of self is an underestimated and misunderstood tool in spiritual practice these days.

The ego wants to get to the enlightened state in the most direct way it sees and that is, turning his understanding of spiritual matters into a program, creating an image.

Reaching for the stars without dealing with the nitty gritty stuff will get one nowhere.

It is the clearing of the self that brings the gems into ones life...... so I have begun to understand recently.

There are a lot of ways to clear ones self, and if practised genuine, with a true involvement in the emotions, there will be real releasing and a raise of vibration.

All depends on, what's in or on the dart. If used to subdue a person intent on harming you with a tranquilizer, it's no different than a taser, in my book. A few booby traps may help also, you never know when they may come in handy.

I don't think we as a whole will suffer from the cataclysms much. There are many loving and good hearted people, that have been stepped on and still keep up a good stride, instead of striking/reacting violently. The storms with all these homes that "are covered" by insurance companies, will break those who have been over charging us. They will need us again, but the doors will be firmly shut, unless they change the whole game's rules. Greed isn't allowed to the extent of people dying. What is wrong with the people that are doing this. Surely there is a cure.

As if on cue, the Universe provided a learning opportunity for me yesterday. First the question about Reiki, then there was Reilly's response, then...

At the store I met a woman who says she does Reiki and energy work both. We had a light conversation, nothing real meaningful or deep. Just chit chat about the difference between the two, since I really didn't understand. And out of the blue, the woman stood up, walked around behind me, and put her hand above my head. I felt a very hot energy above my head. It surprised me so much, I couldn't even ask her "What the heck are you doing?" And she made some weird sounds of recognition, like "Ohhhh. Hmmmm."

She only held her hand above my head, sizing me up I gather, for a split second and moved to Em. Same deal there, but then she put her hand on Em's head. She proceeded to run her hand down Em's right arm, then her left, stopping at a certain place each time and stated that Em was in pain. Em was stunned, as she actually had not been in pain, but her elbows and arms became sore and then her joints became painful...within about 10 minutes.

After this "assessment" by this lady, she abruptly left. No goodbye, no nothing.

So I sat there in utter amazement that she would do such a thing. One of the things I hold dear is the Law (to me it is a law with a capital "L") of Free Will. I would never, never do Reiki on someone without their permission or that of the Higher Self. And since I don't know how to communicate with someone's Higher Self, I just stay with sending Reiki to those who ask.

Secondly, looking back at what happened, I can see that doing Reiki without keeping oneself clear is like doing surgeries without washing hands in between. Because what happened was that this woman had not kept herself clear between all her many massage clients, and proceeded to shlep onto Em and me all the crud she had moved around in them. The sad part about this, truly, is that she was also shlepping all the crap from one client to another. So these clients who came to her to feel better, and who had no knowledge of her energy work, walked in with (possibly) one problem, but undoubtedly walked out with a whole new layer of crap.

Anyway, it only took a moment to pull off the crud from Em and from myself. All is Okay here. I will be better prepared next time I meet this lady, and really next time I meet anyone who up and decides to size me up by barging into my (or Em's) personal space.

First of all, what a sync for me. Second, what a learning experience for me to see this up close and personal. Third, what a reminder. Fourth, what a teach/learning opportunity for S and me...and Em, who is also at the beginning of her Reiki path.

The Universe is certainly efficient. Man.

Every day is a learning experience in my world, I can tell ya that.

they call it light .. they just flow light on the forehead and do some chant ,. and
then some things on the back

but doesn't sound like the definition of reiki in the wikipedia
