NASA's Cassini Spacecraft Snaps A Picture Of Earth From Saturn
A few days ago, NASA’s Cassini spacecraft used its high resolution cameras to take the amazing picture above – capturing Earth as a pale blue dot just underneath Saturn’s magnificent ring system.
Cassini, which was launched in 1997 and arrived at Saturn in 2004, took this photo as part of a mosaic of 33 photographs. The purpose of the mosaic is the produce a high resolution photograph of Saturn’s entire ring system. This is the only one of the 33 photographs where the Earth was captured...
