You are probably thinking that 'we' – [Flash and I] are the dark forces/archons desperately trying to keep you from the secrets, the holy grail
Maybe you were only joking about that, but if not; in no way did Vivek even imply such a sentiment, so far as I can tell.
    Hey...Freed Fox
Are you loosing your sense of humor? or what? Only older people loose their sense of humor...I am only 67 that makes me young because I have family that died in their 90's and they were grumpy
When I post a smiley or a winky or even a wonky, I sure mean that with humour and not to be taken seriously, or, to be taken lightly...I do not choose a smiley or a winky with any real conscious decision because sometimes I just mistype it...then it becomes a wonky...you'll see the smiley and the winky is on the same key on the keyboard...so try and relax there a bit, I am far from a vindictive or aggressive mind.
So if I raised an emotional response my sincere apology to you and to Vivek that was a smiley...and the apology was genuine.

It is more correctly the other way around...the 'archons' are just loving your efforts and the hours you are wasting on trying to fathom out something which they know is impossible without ONE and only ONE thing...access to higher consciousness...
This seems rather uncalled for, and just because Vivek does not exhibit the kind of rigid certainty that you do does not mean he is out of touch with his higher consciousness.
Actually my dear friend you will be surprised how true that statement, I made, is generally, in the world...maybe you just have not realized this yourself yet.
This was meant as a reminder to Vivek...he is more than knowledgeable about the dark forces...and I know that.

So why subject others to the same path and to your errors?
He is not subjecting anyone to anything. If he was, he would be posting this research in every thread in which it was even remotely relevant, or making a new thread about it on a weekly basis. If you find no value in his posts, you can merely bypass them and look elsewhere. I for one value Vivek's intelligence and enthusiastic efforts. His sharing of research and resources is in an effort to clarify where he is coming from, and allow others to draw their own connections from the dots he's gathering.
Have you spent much time in the Horus Ra thread? Maybe you should...and of course he is subjecting others to his "personal caveat" he said so himself.
If some like this then fine...I am not going to cut my throat if he does not stop. I am genuinely trying to offer him something to think about...that's all...please!

I would ask you, or anyone for that matter:...How do you know that what someone is posting is fact? Do you go out and proved it to yourself, or do you just accept whatever anyone posts? Do you accept everything that just resonates with you, or is there some other criteria you use? What is it that makes you know that what is written is fact? What makes some things more true to you than others?
Do you think constructive criticism is valuable or not?
Just think about that carefully and honestly by yourself...no need to reply.

Sometimes truth hurts and many can't see the wood for the trees because our ego, and especially our emotions gets in the way.

    Take care now
    Ray

Vivek, my friend, follow your own path where ever it may lead! I can tell your intent is pure and you are doing what you need to do for yourself. You have an amazing intellect and a passionate need to learn and there is a reason for that! You will have your own "lightbulb" moments along the way which will ever take you where you need to go, for yourself.

Others learn in their own way and you are no different, you will learn in your own unique way as well. Listen not to the criticisms of others! Be bold, brave and do it in the best way that suits you, for it can be no other way and it is being true to yourself.

Even Buddha taught how advancing scientific understanding is a valid path to enlightenment.

Quote Though there are countless expedient methods for becoming attuned to the nature of enlightenment, if one categorizes them according to their different natures, there are three kinds.
The three methods he discusses are:

Samatha - mental cessation and stillness (Deep Meditation)

Quote “Virtuous man, if, after awakening to pure Complete Enlightenment, bodhisattvas with pure enlightened minds engage in the cultivation of stillness, they will cleanse and settle all thoughts. Becoming aware of the agitation and restlessness of consciousness, they will cause their wisdom of stillness to manifest. Their bodies and minds, [which will be realized as adventitious] guests and dust will be permanently extinguished. Inwardly they will experience lightness and ease in quiescence and stillness. Because of this quiescence and stillness, the minds of all Tathagatas in all ten directions will be revealed like reflections in a mirror. This expedient is called samatha.
Samapatti - Refining our understanding of how natural processes work (science/imagination)

Quote “Virtuous man, if, after awakening to pure Complete Enlightenment, bodhisattvas with pure enlightened minds realize the nature of mind and realize that the six sense faculties and sense objects are illusory projections, they will then generate illusion as a means to eliminate illusion. Causing transformations and manifestations among illusions, they will enlighten illusory sentient beings. By generating illusions, they will experience lightness and ease in great compassion. All bodhisattvas who practice in such a manner will advance gradually. That which contemplates illusion is different from illusion itself. Nevertheless, contemplating illusion is itself an illusion. When all illusions are permanently left behind, the wondrous cultivation completed by such bodhisattvas may be compared to the sprouting of seeds from soil. This expedient is called samapatti.
Dhyana - Going with the flow, Being fully present in the here and now without any friction of attachments (Liberated and Spontaneous Living)

Quote “Virtuous man, if, after awakening to pure Complete Enlightenment, bodhisattvas with pure, enlightened minds grasp on to neither illusory projections nor states of stillness, they will understand thoroughly that both body and mind are hindrances. [Awakening from] ignorance, their [minds] will be illuminated. Without depending on all sorts of hindrances, they will permanently transcend the realms of hindrance and nonhindrance and make full use of the world as well as the body and mind. They will manifest in the phenomenal world [without any obstructions], just as the sound of a musical instrument can travel beyond [the body of the instrument]. Vexations and nirvana will not hinder each other. Inwardly, they will experience lightness and ease in quiescent-extinction. They will accord with the realm of quiescent-extinction in wondrous enlightenment, which is beyond the reach of body and mind and the reach of self and others. All sentient beings and all life are only drifting thoughts. This expedient method is called dhyana.
So as Flash and Finefeather pointed out, it is essential for us to let go of our attachments to intellectualism, wherein we remove our conceptual filters and release ourselves of our tainted truths.

But at the same time, I didn't think for a second Vivek seemed overly attached to any of his research notes, like CD7, I saw it more as a spontaneous unfoldment of Samapatti and was really quite enjoying the flow of the thread. Keep up the good work Vivek!

    Hi political Jayke

I totally agree with your points, as long as samapatthi is within the frameworks, context of Samatha and Dhyana. THis is what I was inviting Vivek to do. I do enjoy his writings too, we just invited him to reflect with other base premises leading to better potentially better results, which he graciously saw as an opportunity, me think.

We could have gone off track completely regarding the thread, since it is supposedly related to the Christ, Mary(s) and archons etc stories. But it seems to that we are still on track nevertheless.

I do follow Finefeather input as well which I think is given with all heart and deep experience based.

The Gospel of Mary is found in the Berlin Gnostic Codex (or Papyrus Berolinensis 8502). This well-preserved codex was apparently discovered in the late-nineteenth century somewhere near Akhmim in upper Egypt. It was purchased in 1896 by a German scholar, Dr. Carl Reinhardt, in Cairo and then taken to Berlin. (source: gnosis.org/library/marygosp.htm)

Default Re: The real Jesus, the real Mary, Gnosis, the Archons, and the world's first major smear campaign

    From, The Gospel of Thomas:
The disciples said to Jesus, "We know that you are going to leave us. Who will be our leader?"

Jesus said to them, "No matter where you are you are to go to James the Just, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being."
James (a brother of Jesus) and Mariamne may have had a big role in continuing the teachings of Jesus through the Naassenes (the Naassenes and Peratae may have been in the same circle).

Mary Magdalene. The Naasseni claim that Mariamne taught them what they knew, and it's quite possible that Mary was a nickname for Mariamne. The Naasseni were one of the first (if not the first) sect that arose after Jesus left the disciples. The Naassenes referred to themselve as the disciples of Jesus.

    -----------

    From Wikipedia:
In the four Gospels, St. Mary Magdalene is nearly always distinguished from other women named Mary by adding "Magdalene" (η Μαγδαληνή) to her name.

    […]

St. Mary Magdalene's given name Μαρία (Maria) is usually regarded as a Latin form of Μαριὰμ (Mariam), which is the Greek variant used in the Septuagint for Miriam.
    -----------

    The Naassenes, from Wikipedia:
The Naassenes were a Christian Gnostic sect from around 100 AD known only through the writings of Hippolytus of Rome.

The Naassenes claimed to have been taught their doctrines by Mariamne, a disciple of James the Just.
    • For Gnostic readers Mariamne is also recognized as passably being Mary Magdalene. François Bovon, professor of the history of religion at Harvard University, has theorized based on his study of the Acts of Philip (which describes the apostle Philip as the brother of "Mariamne" or "Mariamme") that Mariamene, or Mariamne, was the actual name of Mary Magdalene. Mary/Mariam was a common name in 1st century Israel, however, not all Marys or Mariams would go by the name Mariamne. Nicknames were often used to distinguish between those with common names (Mary, Joseph, etc.).
    • The Naassenes so far agreed with other Ophites that they gave to the first principle the names First Man and Son of Man, calling him in their hymns Adamas:
    • The First Man (Protanthropos, Adamas); the fundamental being before its differentiation into individuals (cf. Adam Kadmon).
    • The Son of Man; the same being after it has been individualized into existing things and thus sunk into matter.
    • They represented their "Man" as androgynous.

The Naassenes taught that their primary man was, like Geryon, threefold, containing in himself the three natures to noeron, to psychikon, to choikon; and so that in Jesus the three natures were combined, and through him speak to these different classes of men.

Thus there are three classes of men and three corresponding churches:
    1. Material (the Bound)—the heathen chiefly captive under the dominion of matter.
    2. Psychic (the Called)—ordinary Christians.
    3. Spiritual (the Elect)—out of the many called, the few chosen members of the Naassene sect.

The Garden of Eden, in the Naassene system, is the brain, and Paradise the human head, with the four rivers having special significance.

    Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naassenes
    From, The Ante-Nicene Fathers:
The Naasseni call the first principle of the universe a Man, and that the same also is a Son of Man; and they divide this man into three portions. For they say one part of him is rational, and another psychical, but a third earthly. And they style him Adamas, and suppose that the knowledge appertaining to hime is the originating cause of the capacity of knowing God. And the Naassene asserts that all these rational, and psychical, and earthly qualities have retired into Jesus, and that through Him these three substances simultaneously have spoken unto the three genera of the universe. These allege that there are three kinds of existence – angelic, psychical, and earthly; and that there are three churches – angelic, psychical, and earthly; and that the names of these are – chosen, called, and captive. These are the heads of doctrine advanced by them, as far as one may briefly comprehend them. They affirm that James, the brother of the Lord, delivered these tenets to Mariamne […]

“Now earth,” say the Greeks, “gave forth a man, (earth) first bearing a goodly gift, wishing to become mother not of plants devoid of sense, nor beasts without reason, but of a gentle and highly favoured creature.” […] The Chaldeans, however, say that this Adam is the man whom alone earth brought forth. And that he lay inanimate, unmoved, (and) still as a statue; being an image of him who is above, who is celebrated as the man Adam, having been begotten by many powers, concerning whom individually is an enlarged discussion.

In order, therefore, that finally the Great Man from above may be overpowered, “from whom,” as they say, “the whole family named on earth and in the heavens” has been formed, to him was given also a soul, that through the soul he might suffer: and that the enslaved image may be punished of the Great and most Glorious and Perfect Man, for even so they call him. Again, then, they ask what is the soul, and whence, and what kind in its nature, that, coming to the man and moving him, it should enslave and punish the image of the Perfect Man […] And they affirm that the soul is very difficult to discover, and hard to understand; for it does not remain in the same figure or the same form invariably, or in one passive condition, that either one could express it by a sign, or comprehend it substantially.

    […]

For of soul, say they, is every nature desirous, and each in a different manner. For soul is cause of all things made: all things that are nourished, (the Naassene) says, and that grow, require soul. For it is not possible, he says, to obtain any nourishment or growth where soul is not present. For even stones, he affirms, are animated, for they possess what is capable of increase; but increase would not at any time take place without nourishment, for it is by accession that things which are being increased grow, but accession is the nourishment of things that are nurtured. Every nature, then, (the Naassene) says, of things celestial, and earthly, and infernal, desires a soul.

    […]

For (the Naassene) says, there is the hermaphrodite man […] For, says (the Naassene), Attis has been emasculated, that is, he has passed over from the earthly parts of the nether world to the everlasting substance above, where, he says, there is neither female or male, but a new creature, a new man, which is hermaphrodite.

    […]

This, he affirms, is Adam: “The chief corner-stone become the head of the corner.” For that in the head the substance is the formative brain from which the entire family is fashioned. “Whom,” he says, “I place as a rock at the foundations of Zion.” Allegorizing, he says, he speaks of the creation of the man.

    […]

This, he says, is ocean, “generation of gods and generation of men” ever whirled round by the eddies of water, at one time upwards, at another time downwards. But he says there ensues a generation of men when the ocean flows downwards; but when upwards to the wall and fortress and the cliff of Luecas, a generation of gods takes place. This, he asserts, is that which has been written: “I said, Ye are gods, and all children of the highest;” “If ye hasten to fly out of Egypt, and repair beyond the Red Sea into the wilderness,” that is, from earthly intercourse to the Jerusalem above, which is the mother of the living: “If, moreover, again you return into Egypt,” that is, into earthly intercourse, “ye shall die as men.” For mortal, he says, is every generation below, but immortal that which is begotten above, for it is born of water only, and of spirit, being spiritual, not carnal. But what (is born) below is carnal, that is, he says, what is written. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.” This, according to them, is the spiritual generation. This, he says, is the great Jordan which, flowing on (here) below, and preventing the children of Israel from departing out of Egypt – I mean from terrestrial intercourse, for Egypt is with them the body, -- Jesus drove back, and made it flow upwards.

    […]

They make, however, the following assertion: he who says that all things derive consistence from one, is in error; but he who says that they are of three, is in possession of the truth, and will furnish a solution of the (phenomena of the) universe. For the is, says (the Naassene), one blessed nature of the Blessed Man, of him who is above, (namely) Adam; and there is one mortal nature, that which is below; and there is one kingless generation, which is begotten above, where, he says, is Mariam the sought for one […]

    Quote Posted by Vivek (here)
The first Human Beings. A wonder, full of wonder, wonderful. A beautiful being full of creativity and innocence. Curious, playful, powerful.

Consider that conscious, sentient beings can exist without a physicality as we know it. Therefore, the aforementioned state of character and construct is describing a humanity that existed before these fleshy suits became the norm. It's describing a more ethereal reality of characters and forms. Check out what H.P. Blavatsky has to say regarding astral prototypes:
This will be pooh-poohed, because it will not be understood by our modern men of science; but every occultist and theosophist will easily realize the process. There can be no objective form on Earth (nor in the Universe either), without its astral prototype being first formed in Space.
Now, Mirra Alfassa has another description of a human prototype that she reported seeing in the borderlands between the ether and the earth:
There I was, wanting to pass over to the other side, when – in a quite unexpected and astounding way – I found myself in the presence of the ‘principle,’ a principle of the human form. It didn't resemble man as we are used to seeing him, but it was an upright form, standing just on the border between the world of forms and the Formless, like a kind of standard. At that time nobody had ever spoken to me about it and Madame Theon had never seen it – no one had ever seen or said anything. But I felt I was on the verge of discovering a secret.

    [...]

And all those who have had a direct contact with the past, had the memory of a kind of human prototype -- far superior to the present humanity -- who came on earth as an example and a promise of what humanity will be like when it reaches its acme.
Sri Aurobindo and The Mother (Alfassa) had thought that this was the prototype for what humanity was destined to become. It's also possible that this is what we once were, and the goal is to get back.

Notice that The Mother noted that this human form, or astral prototype, was standing there as a principle. Just standing there. It makes me think that it's dormant -- in a state of suspended animation. It's performing it's most basic function, but no more. Similar to when a person is in a coma. Their heart is beating, their blood is flowing, and they have some degree of brain activity -- yet they are dormant. All of the bodies basic functions and vital processes are in working order, but the consciousness seems to be somewhere else. Maybe it's the same with the standard that The Mother viewed while in the borderlands.

Carlos Castaneda has offered a similar account of an astral prototype (and indirectly Don Juan).
He [Don Juan] gave me a detailed explanation of what the mold of man was. He did not talk about it in terms of the Eagle's emanations, but in terms of a pattern of energy that serves to stamp the qualities of humanness on an amorphous blob of biological matter.

    [...]

He also said that every species has a mold of its own, and every individual of every species molded by the process shows characteristics particular to its own kind.

    [...]

As I gazed into the light with all the passion I was capable of, the light seemed to condense and I saw a man. A shiny man that exuded charisma, love, understanding, sincerity, truth. A man that was the sum total of all that is good.

    [...]

The mold of man is exactly what its name tells us it is, a pattern, a form, a cast that groups together a particular bunch of fiber-like elements, which we call man.
Castaneda goes on to say that the mold of man is not God, but a static prototype for the biological organisms known as humans. Again, I'm looking back at what Alfassa and Blavatsky said and I'm thinking -- true form, suspended, dormant, incapacitated, neutralized, comatose.

Then I turn to the Nag Hammadi. Here's where things start to come together for me, and get really exciting. The Gnostic codices also describe what could be likened to Blavatsky's astral prototype, Alfassa's principle of the human form, and Castaneda's mold of man. The following excerpts are from On the Origin of the World and The Apocryphon of John respectively.
And immediately, behold! Light came out of the eighth heaven above and passed through all of the heavens of the earth [...] As that light appeared, a human likeness appeared within it, very wonderful [...] Since that day, that emissary has been called "Adam of Light," whose rendering is "the luminous man of blood,"

    It named the true perfect Human, the primal revelation, Adam. {From the first Understanding and the perfect Mind through the gift and the approval of the great invisible Spirit in the presence of Autogenes, the perfect, true, holy Human, the first who appeared—he was called Adamas.}
According to the Nag Hammadi, this human form appeared to the archontic forces prior to them making their own forms of humans. They used this first encounter with the human likeness as kind of template in order to create their own version of a human being. This is us according to the Gnostics.
The Mother (Mirra Alfassa) was on to something after all! If you skimmed over this post and you enjoy reading the Nag Hammadi codex, then read the excerpts from the Ante-Nicene Fathers if anything. It's good.

Now a question, what about the heart? Can we diagram the heart and make the same correlations that are made for the brain? (remembering as above, so below)

Why I ask is because while meditating I feel I am entering the realm of the heart, contemplating the seven seals, seven veils, seven secrets if you will. What I have discovered and it is greatly heartening (pun not intended ) This is the life force, we have no brain, no limbic system, no spinal fluid, no kundalini with out this vital force.

Question, what animates this organ and why do we refer to the sacred heart?

The deeper I go into the heart center I have a strong intuitive sense that the final door will only be opened to those who have cleaned up their house. This means that no matter what is trying to ultimately destroy life will never be allowed to know this secret. The only way to True Knowledge, Gnosis is through the heart portal.

As above, so below... we can find truth in the physical as well as the etheric. It penetrates all realities.

My musings before I run out the door... happy day!
Beautiful post - thank you! From my perspective, "intuitive senses" are the best.

    *****

Here's one interpretation. I'm certain there are many.

    The Secrets of Secrets:

So much has been lost, but being eternal, it is never lost forever, only veiled!

The Secret of Secrets — the hidden space within the human heart that all of creation emerges from — was in ancient times almost completely an oral tradition kept secret by the priests and shamans of the tribe or culture.

Seldom was anything written down, primarily because it cannot be learned or experienced from the written word. Only through direct experience can it truly be known.

What I have found is that although the direct experience is paramount to knowing the Secret of Secrets, talking or reading about the Sacred Space of the Heart can prepare the mind for this change.

What Is this Secret of Secrets?
First of all, on a mundane level, it is a physical space within the body that is found, depending on the tradition, either inside the heart or very close to it. Some traditions say it is behind the heart, some say it is off to one side, and others say it is in front of the heart. But most believe it is located inside the physical heart, and that’s what I believe.

One aspect is clear. It is not the heart chakra.

The Secret of Secrets has been referred to, in the Jewish tradition, as the Secret Chamber of the Heart. The Upanishads, the Hindu sacred texts, refer to it as the Tiny Place Within the Heart. It also is sometimes referred to as the Sacred Space of the Heart.

In truth, there is very little found that has ever been written about this most important part of human experience.

It is apparent that in ancient times, this place within the heart was known and entered into in their ceremonies, for this is still being done today in a few “lost” tribes in remote areas of the world.

In modern times, the HeartMath Institute is the forerunner of research into this ancient knowledge, and at the same time they are finding new information that probably even the Ancient Ones didn’t know.

From my perspective and the view of many indigenous tribes, this Sacred Space within the Heart holds the only possibility of there ever being peace on Earth. All political actions on the Earth are being taken from Duality Consciousness — the result of the Fall — and this form of consciousness is based on ego.

As long as ego runs the course of events in the world, we will never know peace. Ego judges all events as either good or bad from its own viewpoint, and ego always thinks of itself first. As long as ego is safe and comfortable, ego doesn’t usually care what happens to that which seems external to itself.

    [snip]

Ever since we fell from our heart to our mind, we have been in hell.

And so I pray that someday soon we all find this place within our hearts.

All the world’s religions and spiritual disciplines allude to this possibility, but most of them have forgotten how to actually enter this sacred space. These ways, like most of the old ways, have been lost.

    *****

MANY BELIEVE THAT CONSCIOUS awareness originates in the brain alone. Recent scientific research suggests that consciousness actually emerges from the brain and body acting together.

A growing body of evidence suggests that the heart plays a particularly significant role in this process. Far more than a simple pump, as was once believed, the heart is now recognized by scientists as a highly complex system with its own functional “brain.”

Research in the new discipline of neurocardiology shows that the heart is a sensory organ and a sophisticated center for receiving and processing information. The nervous system within the heart (or heart brain) enables it to learn, remember and make functional decisions independent of the brain's cerebral cortex. Moreover, numerous experiments have demonstrated that the signals the heart continuously send to the brain influence the function of higher brain centers involved in perception, cognition and emotional processing.

In addition to the extensive neural communication network linking the heart with the brain and body, the heart also communicates information to the brain and throughout the body via electromagnetic field interactions.

The heart generates the body’s most powerful and most extensive rhythmic electromagnetic field. Compared to the electromagnetic field produced by the brain, the electrical component of the heart’s field is about 60 times greater in amplitude, and permeates every cell in the body. The magnetic component is approximately 5000 times stronger than the brain’s magnetic field and can be detected several feet away from the body

    The Heart’s Field and Intuition

There are also new data suggesting that the heart’s field is directly involved in intuitive perception, through its coupling to an energetic information field outside the bounds of space and time. Using a rigorous experimental design,we found compelling evidence that both the heart and brain receive and respond to information about a future event before the event actually happens.

Even more surprising was our finding that the heart appears to receive this “intuitive”information before the brain. This suggests that the heart’s field may be linked to a more subtle energetic field that contains information on objects and events remote in space or ahead in time. Called by Karl Pribram and others the “spectral domain,” this is a fundamental order of potential energy that enfolds space and time, and is thought to be the basis for our consciousness of “them whole.”

    www.heartmath.org

The Institute of HeartMath, a research center dedicated to the study of the heart and the physiology of emotions, has conducted numerous studies identifying the relationship between emotions and the heart.

    Emotions and the heart

Recent HeartMath studies define a critical link between the heart and brain. The heart is in a constant two-way dialogue with the brain — our emotions change the signals the brain sends to the heart and the heart responds in complex ways. However, we now know that the heart sends more information to the brain than the brain sends to the heart. And the brain responds to the heart in many important ways.

This research explains how the heart responds to emotional and mental reactions and why certain emotions stress the body and drain our energy. As we experience feelings like anger, frustration, anxiety and insecurity, our heart rhythm patterns become more erratic. These erratic patterns are sent to the emotional centers in the brain, which it recognizes as negative or stressful feelings. These signals create the actual feelings we experience in the heart area and the body. The erratic heart rhythms also block our ability to think clearly.

A very important part of the heart/brain communication link are the nerves that carry information from the heart to the brain.

It is now known that the heart has a complex nervous system, which has been described as a "brain" of its own. Considered a single entity, the brain in the heart is an organized network of nerve cells and nerve plexi (centers) that send messages to each other using neurotransmitters and proteins. The heart has a complex circuitry that enables it to act independently, learn, remember, and as the saying goes, produce the feelings of the heart.

The information sent from the heart to the brain can have profound effects on the higher brain centers and influences perception, emotion and learning abilities. It even affects coordination and reaction speeds. IHM research shows that the Freeze-Frame process of focusing attention in the area of the heart while experiencing a positive feeling changes the patterns of information flowing along this pathway to a more coherent and harmonious pattern.

Marin, great post and thanks! What about the Thymus gland? I have some observations about certain Naassenes (and Peratae) texts that may be referencing the heart ... well, the Thymus gland in particular (still working on it). The Thymus plays a huge role in the immune system.

More about the Thymus from Wikipedia:
The thymus was known to the ancient Greeks, and its name comes from the Greek word θυμός (thumos), meaning "anger", or "heart, soul, desire, life", possibly because of its location in the chest, near where emotions are subjectively felt.

    [...]

The thymus continues to grow between birth and puberty and then begins to atrophy; this thymic involution is directed by the high levels of circulating hormones. Proportional to thymic size, thymic activity (T-cell output) is most active before puberty. Upon atrophy, the size and activity are dramatically reduced, and the organ is primarily replaced with fat (a phenomenon known as "organ involution"). The atrophy is due to the increased circulating level of sex hormones.

    Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thymus#Involution
Melatonin has been shown to restore the function and reverse the involution of the Thymus. Melatonin is excreted by the pineal gland of course (it is also produced elsewhere in the body).

Also, I thought this PDF complimented the material in your post.

I think it was Frank Chester, the guy that discovered the chesterhedron sacred geometry of the heart, talked of a 5th chamber that we can open up through meditation.

Quote The inside left ventricle geometry turns 40 degrees during systole and sits in the cube at 15 degrees. Altogether you have a 55-degree spiral movement. Flow designs in the organ of the heart If the ventricle twists another 5 degrees a fifth chamber develops complete with a tri cusped valve.

“In our time there are certain changes taking place in the heart, by which gradually a fifth chamber will develop. In this fifth chamber man will have a new organ which will allow him to control life forces in a different way than is possible at the moment.” “All that happens in the moral life, and all that happens physically in the world…the moral and the physical….are found in their real union when we learn to understand all the configurations of the human heart.”
It's interesting that honeybees already have a 5 chambered heart:

Quote "Honeybees have an open circulatory system formed by the heart and the aorta. The blood is pumped from the five-chambered heart into the aorta. The chambers of the heart have ostial valves which allow the blood to enter into the heart but backward movement to body cavity is prevented"
Maybe it's the 5th chamber that help them seemingly defy the laws of physics

Although that idea has been exposed as a myth, the real explanation for how they fly is still pretty impressive.

Quote It's a very widely held myth that 'the laws of aerodynamics say that bumblebee can't fly, but no-one told the bee.'
Probably this is based on a simple linear treatment of oscillating aerofoils. This assumes small amplitude oscillations without flow separation, ignoring the effect of dynamic stall which causes an airflow separation inducing a large vortex above the wing. This vortex briefly produces several times the lift of the aerofoil in regular flight. The bumblebee flies because its wings encounter dynamic stall on every down stroke.
Bees beat their wings approximately 200 times a second, which is up to 20 times as fast as nerve impulses can fire. They achieve this because their thorax muscles don't expand and contract on each nerve firing, but rather vibrate like the string on a musical instrument.
"Bees beat their wings roughly 200 times a second, and that's 20 times faster than nerve impulses fire", that statement to me stands out, how does a bee get to vibrate 20 times faster than nerve impulses fire?

It vibrates like the string on a musical instrument

So Something causes the bee to vibrate so fast it defies gravity, I wonder if it's the resonance from that 5th chamber of the heart that causes that accomplishment. Something has to pluck the string to get it vibrating.

Pure speculation on my part, but Scaled up, what kind of vibrations would a human heart emanate if we managed to open our 5th chamber?

Dan Winter talks about shamans who can find a place of harmony within themselves, that once they reach, it puts them in a state of unity with their environment, to the extent they can harmonise their thought patterns to that of a tornado and steer it harmlessly in any direction they choose.

    Christine

A recent workshop that I attended worked around the concept of both an upper and a lower heart. Below are my sloppy attempts to describe the process.

The lower heart works and senses in the arena of body sensations such as pain, pleasure, despair, hope, love as in two chosen mates, compassion etc. the human body emotions and feelings. This is based on the lower chakras up through the 4th. This is commonly known as the heart chakra. It is all represented by a triangle with its sides spaying out from the center of the heart downward and outward to an equilateral base. This heart “bottom loads” from the earth energies and all its manifestations, human or otherwise.

The upper heart (thymus) is the heart of love of the divine, the love of knowledge, the love of expansion, it is represented by a triangle with its sides angling upwards and outwards from the center of the heart. It is designed to fill the heart by “top loading” the inspiration and teachings of the divine, which for all purposes is infinite. This pyramid expands outward encompassing the throat, third eye (Pineal Gland) Crown and trans-personal Chakras. Many on this planet never experience this upper heart. They are too busy trying to fill the lower heart from the earthly or finite, which is imposable.

When you can open the upper heart to the divine and as it fills, with practice, let its lower point slide slightly down overlapping the upper point of the lower hearts pyramid, it forms a diamond in the center of the heart and your understanding and love for everything becomes expansive to the infinite. This has been covered by many philosophies, mostly incorrectly. A couple of fine points are you must have a strong enough “base” or ground to support the field that you can generate or you will exteriorize and spiritually float off and just get spacey or you will start running enough energy to smoke your circuits and be a burn out. You can only pass through as much as you can ground. You must be able to ground it which may be the big reason for even inhabiting these meat bodies. You must also be open and clean enough to allow the divine love, cosmic energies or whatever you care to call it flow into your open top pyramid to your upper heart. The radiance is, in my oh so humble opinion, what is known as Christ conciseness or ultimate unlimited love. If the top hearts pyramid slides all the way down and encompasses all the lower chakras you end up with a six pointed star or what some call the Star of David. It had been talked about before David. Sort of like as above so below.

After completing the workshop I was blown out for days in that I didn’t have enough ground to handle all the energy but I was in a state of open bliss and love for everything around me. The duality of my thoughts was gone. Quite a few of the scriptures in the Gospel of Thomas made total sense from that space. I gotta work on getting back to that place for a longer visit.

I was just putting together this post about the Star of David and ready to send off when I read your post. Interesting timing. Would love to hear more about your experience. Thank you kindly for sharing.

The Archetypal Mandala of the Star of David
    by Margaret Starbird
    www.margaretstarbird.net

The mandala of the hexagram, also known as the "Star of David" is much older than Judaism, older even than history. As an archetypal symbol for the sacred union of the opposite energies, it is the "yin-yang" of western civilization. Formed by the intertwining of the "fire" and "water" triangles (the male "blade" and the female "chalice") this symbol represents the masculine and feminine principles in perfect union, the "sacred marriage" or "hieros gamous" of the ancient world.

In India the symbol represents the "cosmic dance" of Shiva and Shakti, and the Jewish Kaballah suggests that the Ark of the Covenant contains, in addition to the tables of the Ten Commandments, "a regular hexagram representing a man and woman in intimate embrace,"

Since "Sacred Union" is the source of all life on this planet, the six-pointed star uniting the archetypal male and female triangles has long been acknowledged as the model for balance and wholeness. Medieval Alchemists called the Star the "Philosopher's stone," adding a tiny dot on the upper right hand point to represent the presence of God and guidance of the Divine Spirit.

The Star of David appears on every page of that book as its guiding mandala, and the contents have been described by some readers as the "missing link" between Christianity and Juadism. That missing link - the "sacred marriage."
    ……

The entwined triangles of the  represent the archetypes of masculine and feminine, sometimes called the "blade" and the "chalice." In alchemy, they are called the "fire" and "water" triangles respectively, and correspond to the Yang and Yin of Oriental philosophy. This sacred symbol is found in ancient shrines in India where it represents the God Shiva and his consort Shakti, but it is also found in the sacred writings of scholars and mystics of Judaism, where it is known as the seal of Solomon.

So ancient is the idea of the marriage or cosmic dance of the opposite energies that we find in ancient Sumer temples built in pairs to honor the god and goddess of the prevailing fertility cult. The Goddess is the Great Mother, the Earth and all creation, while her consort is most often the sun or fertility deity. In the ancient cultures of the Middle East, the position of royal priestess was a hereditary office passed down through a matrilineal kinship.

The priestess typically chose the local warlord or strong man as her bridegroom and conferred kingship on him by virtue of their marriage, in rites usually celebrated at the new year.

The word “anointing” occurs often in the liturgical poetry associated with the rites of hieros gamos, reflecting the mutual anointing of the lovers during the consummation of their nuptials. These rites are celebrated in songs and poems inscribed on cuneiform tablets throughout Mesopotamia and attest to the importance of this myth reenacted yearly to ensure the well-being of the people and the land.

The Bridegroom/King is the mediator of fertility, prosperity and blessings to the people. After a period of one year (occasionally longer), most often at the Spring equinox, the king is ritually tortured, slain, then entombed. There, after a short period, usually of three days duration, his bereaved wife seeks his burial place to lament his death.

Their reunion is celebrated with great joy when she finds him resurrected in the garden, for love is stronger than death. An annual festival celebrates the return of the god and his reunion with his feminine complement, representing the balance of masculine and feminine in the cosmos, the endless cycle of life, death and rebirth, and the power and “eternal return” of the Life Force.

    ……

The marriage union is a metaphor throughout mystical writings of all ages because it expresses ecstasy and intimacy in a way that no other metaphor can. And precisely for this reason, the archetype of the bridal couple--Bride and Bridegroom--is a consummate image of God as Wholeness, the paradigm of Partnership. Both lovers give, both receive; both love passionately and both are tenderly cherished. Their union is the epitome of the Cosmic Dance illustrated in the sacred mandala.

The Coptic Gospel of Philip states that Mary Magdalene was the consort of Jesus, and the word has conjugal implications of intimate partnership. The woman who anointed Jesus, Mary of Bethany, was almost surely his wife. Together they embodied the sacred archetypes of divinity manifested as Bride and Bridegroom, providing a powerful partnership model for the early church. “The Magdalene” was an epithet given to her to identify her elevated status: “Mary the Tower, Mary the Great.”

So what happened? How did we lose this most precious "pearl of great price"--the bride of the Messiah Jesus?

My theory, articulated in a short piece of fiction in the prologue of The Woman with the Alabaster Jar, is that she was secretly taken away from Jerusalem after the crucifixion of Jesus to protect her from possible arrest and execution. Since the crucifixion is now widely understood as a Roman punishment for sedition, many scholars conclude that Jesus was executed because he was proclaimed to be of royal lineage, “Son of David,” and had a large following among the populace of Jerusalem, providing a significant threat to the peace and order of the Roman province of Palestine.

The wife of Jesus and his immediate family would have been in immediate danger from the Roman authorities in the aftermath of the crucifixion and the discovery of the empty tomb. Any friends of Jesus worthy of that name would have tried to provide protection and safety for his wife and any child or children of their union.

While there is no written proof of this theory in the form of a birth or marriage certificate, it is my firm conviction, based in part on later legends of Mary Magdalene.

For of her it is claimed that she brought the Sangraal to the southern coast of France, arriving with her brother and sister and an entourage of friends, political refugees from persecutions in Palestine. And the word Sangraal, while translated "Holy Grail," could with equal justification be translated "blood royal" by breaking the word after the letter g ("sang raal") rather than before ("san graal"). With this alternative interpretation of the word, the legend now says that the Mary called the Magdalene brought the blood royal to the coast of France.

One does not generally carry the blood royal around in a container with a lid. The blood royal, then and now, is best carried in an "earthen vessel"--a child. And this metaphor is very common in the Hebrew Scriptures, whose prophets describe God as a potter, and the descendants of King Eliakim as "dishes, bowls and jugs" (Isa. 22:20).

So the mysterious Grail of legend may not be an artifact after all. Perhaps, instead, the Grail is an "earthen vessel"--a woman. Perhaps she was the legitimate wife of the Lord Jesus, the wife who was lost because the friends of her husband were trying so hard to save her. What irony!

The legend says that the king is wounded and the land wasted because the Grail cannot be found, but that when it is restored, all will be well. Perhaps the real symbol of the "age to come" was to have been the symbol of the sacred marriage.

Once again, I disagree with Ms Starbird on the interpretation of the word "royal".

    From etymonline.com/index.php?term=grail :
    Quote grail (n.)
c.1300, "the Holy Grail," from Old French graal "Holy Grail, cup," earlier "large shallow dish," from Medieval Latin gradalis "a flat dish or shallow vessel," perhaps ultimately from Latin crater "bowl," from Greek krater "bowl, especially for mixing wine with water."

Holy Grail is anglicized from Middle English Sangreal (Saint graal), grafted awkwardly onto the Celtic Arthurian legends 12c. by Church scribes probably in place of some pagan otherworldly object.
The translation of the french word "sang" is "blood".

In my view, "Sang real" or "Sang raal" or "Saint G-raal" has no connection whatsoever with the french word "royal". I can consider "Saint Graal" meaning "Holy Blood" but not "Royal blood".

In French "raal" has no meaning and has nothing to do with "royal". Can any french speaker here confirm please ?

As best I know, I believe one would have to consult medieval French (not modern French).

    From http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Holy_Grail:
An alternative theory, proposed in The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail and promoted in Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code, is that the Holy Grail motif in history and literature is a coded reference to the secret descendants of Jesus. This is based in part on a etymological conjecture that the medieval French sang real (royal blood) was miswritten as san greal. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, late medieval writers came up with a false etymology for sangréal, an alternative name for "Holy Grail." The encyclopedia states that in Old French, san graal or san gréal means "Holy Grail" and sang réal means "royal blood"; later writers played on this pun. In modern French "Holy Grail" would be Saint Graal.

My Dictionnaire Le Robert says the word is from the Occitan (southern French dialect) gré, or grial, derived as mentioned above, from gradalis.

However, someone was saying the other day on another thread that dictionary etymologies were doctored in the early 20th c.

Real meaning royal is not French but Spanish, as in the Real Madrid soccer team. The French word evolved from the Latin regalis to reial (late 11th c.) to roial (late 12th c.), which is close but not close enough.

To take it a step further, the upward facing triangle within the hexagram symbolizes the linga/lingam the male genital, and the downward facing triangle symbolizes the yoni or female genital.

The Christian Cross is also a far more ancient symbol than Christianity and represents exactly the same thing, with the upright pole representing male and the crossbeam representing female.

The same duality is found in the Divine Name YHWH, with the Y or Iod representing the phallus and the HWH representing EVE or the female counterpart.

    http://www.volker-doormann.org/slavery.htm

Quote the hidden meaning of it is the joy of the feeling of the penis (jewel=Linga) in the vulva (lotus blossum=yoni).

The Sumerian word for woman is . And on a figure on a ancient wall in India a symbol from Hinduism this word 'Omm' is centered in the connection of the triangle female symbol and the upright triangle male symbol.

From this one can understand, that the so called Star of David is not a symbol from Judaism, but a symbol form the Vedic religion of the ancient India, that is worshiping the reunion of man and wife. The symbol and the hidden meaning from Hinduism of this symbol was known by teachers of the Jewish mysticism and has found over them its way to the present Jewish culture.

Shiva is preserved in the Hebrew Genesis as chavvah ( = eve ) ( “life-giver” ) as the female life together with the Hebrew chayim ("Life").
The Hebrew tree of life is then etz chayim, were the Hebrew etz is a ‘tree’. Hebrew ets (ates) is a tree, but also a stick or a stock. And still in Hebrew slang Zayin means penis.

The Hebrew words Gannah, ginnah, gynh, gan, with the meaning and symbol of garden, is related to the Sanskrit word yin , which means "female" and to the Sanskrit word yoni, which is the "the female genital" . yang means male, and linga/lingam is the male genital. Still the sex of the ancient time is present in our today word genital, coming from the Hebrew gan/gynh and the Sanskrit yoni. The Hebrew gardener is then the Ginnthown (ghin-neth-one) or Ginnthow (ghin-neth-o).

Because of the Sumerian writing the origin are picture symbols, we find, that gis or gish is a penis as well as a tree.

The Sumerian word Nin_gish_zi_ da means 'giving life from the penis’ but also ‘giving life from a tree’. Nin_gish_zi_da is equal to ‘Du_mu_zi’, what is known in Hebrew as Tammuz and means "son/man who is life".

The Sumerian Zi or Ti means ‘life’. Zi is also the Sumerian "Breath of life" and Nin-ti is the Sumerian "she who makes live", where Nin is often related to a woman, but also to the meaning of ‘giving’ or ‘supporter’. Nin-Tu is the Sumerein ‘birth-giver’. The Sumerian GIS_NU means ‘bed’, and GISH_TIL is the Sumerian "vehicle of life".

Other relation are: gìš á-zi...e: "to commit rape" (gìš, 'penis', + 'violence' + 'to do'), gìš...dù: "to have sexual intercourse" (gìš, 'penis', + 'to plant'), gìš-nu-zu: "virgin" (gìš, 'penis', + 'not' + zu, 'to know'), and gìš-zu: "having born young" (open gìš, 'penis', + zu, 'to know').

The Sumerian gardener who does 'water the trees' is nu-gish-kiri while the garden is Gish-Kiri with Ki, what means ‘earth’ (‘enki’ = ‘God of the earth’)......
I highly suggest reading the entire article

Bill, I'm afraid there's no medieval French "sang real", the words "sangréal", "san", "réal" and "gréal" do not exist in medieval French (nor in modern french) so it couldn't be miswritten in any way.

I concur with araucaria, this is spanish, not french. In my opinion, rationalwiki and the Catholic Encyclopedia are wrong on this matter.

Here's a great clip of Joseph Campbell discussing the importance of metaphor-- and the powerful role that 'myth', as opposed to mere biography, can play in our lives.

Campbell would say the problem is essentially a literary one--a misreading of our mythology as literal truth, thus stripping it of its power to help us transcend the myth itself - for the ultimate purpose of touching the sublime power behind it.

Maybe our DNA is more likened to creation itself in the ethereal or plasmatic realm of our existence. Prior to living in a vessel/body, we have the gathering of forces attracted and repelled in a dance that creates its own gravitational force, and electrical charge - further pulling mater in such a way that begins a pattern of thought and interaction with one another on a plane that is invisible to the material senses of the vessels in which we now find ourselves. If this is the case, isn't it ironic how we go to such great lengths to find ourselves in ourselves? Let DNA be the construct/pattern representation of the ship that we have created over the eons that carries our spirit in the material world. Thus, we are both embedded and freed through our DNA.

Gnosticism, Edgar Cayce, Madame Blavatsky, et al have described the term "root race" by explaining how the first root race of our species embedded itself in the material world. First in rocks, and other such inanimate objects, and later in living mater. During this time, we could easily enter and leave but over the years, we forgot our origins and we became embedded. We also became enslaved, etc... good, bad and ugly. Each and every one of us could have been the butcher of London (I do not mean this to describe an archetypical), or someone as meager as a candlestick maker in past lives, for all we choose to know, or all we choose to acknowledge in ourselves on the path to enlightenment.

As a species, Edgar Cayce mentions the rise of the 5th root race. It can be described as a movement/enlightenment that has a numerical tipping point which flips a DNA switch, thereby creating a new pattern in mankind. It can occur in a population or, it can occur as a universal change. Edgar mentions the 5th root race coming on the scene between 2004 and 2015. It is entirely possible we have been doing what we came here for, but the answer really depends upon the change incurred. Have we changed the world aiming toward the better understandings? Have we learned from and do we continue to learn from our huge mistakes? Are we making the changes necessary to live more in harmony with the universe? Do we take personal responsibility for our own actions? Is something being done to us, or are we part of the solution?
