Richard Phillips has Top Secret Clearance and is a former Army Ranger officer and graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He has worked on classified projects for the United States government at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he also earned his Master of Science in nuclear physics. He currently resides in Phoenix, Ariz., where he is employed by General Dynamics and works on military simulation software for the U.S. government. Author and nuclear physicist Richard Phillips believes life on other planets does exist. His belief stems from extensive classified research in aerospace technologies that he generated for the U.S. military.

Synopsis

what is a West Point military officer ( and ranger which isn't an easy school to pass, eight weeks of jungle hell in Georgia ) with a masters degree in nuclear physics doing writing computer software simulation ??? I gave some classes for three years to West Point and VMI cadets , they are the cream of the crop , working with computers would seem strange for them , they are field soldiers mostly licking at the chops to command troops ... I can't imagine a Ranger, WP grad with a masters in nuclear physics doing software work ... like Rambo being a boy scout leader, something is wrong, I'm going to listen to the vid , but at the start the guys credentials are way over the top for what he does ... anyhoo I'll take the message over the messenger all day long ...

okay , I did my digging and the guy is who he says, and been where he says, the military did a good job sweeping up behind him , too bad for them old soldiers know there protocols and know where to look , the guy is legit ... I'm sorry for being so hard , I was wrong ...back to listening

Hey GR don't be too hard on yoself! I heard a lot of opinion & book pluggin... No disrespect to host or guest but he did not bring much new stuff to the table for a man with "Top Secret Clearance" (for me) perhaps that said clearance is the reason for that!?!?!

I don't know maybe I should listen again...

Many hard sciences, which include engineering, physics, math, chemistry, are natural in software engineering and development. The career field involves algorithms, mathematical theory, and other analytical functions which add to the discipline.
