Default Re: Putin: Snowden can stay in Russia if he stops damaging US // Snowden hide'n'seek media frenzy 'diverts' from real NSA story

Something still doesn't smell right with this whole deal. Maybe it is just me, but does anyone get the feeling that there is some sneaky software in those "4 laptops" (bait) that Snowden is "shopping" around?

Is it possible the US is 'manipulating' the situation by "expiring" his passport, perfectly timed, while he is in a Russian airport? What are the odds, given how little time people usually spend between countries when travelling? And it's also suspect that although there are so many nations willing to take him our "hero", who increases the risk of danger the longer he delays, still prolongs the issue and can't make up his mind?...

Reminds of the girl at the dance who won't dance because she hasn't had the "right guy" ask her yet (the one she is angling for...)

Has anyone considered there is some super sophisticated malware type software in those laptops just waiting to reek havoc on who ever is crazy enough to take "the bait" ??

Just not adding up in my mind...

Default 'Russia's only choice is to permit Snowden to live here' - Putin

In one sense this is a very amusing interview, one former intelligence officer
Putin having a strong dig at his counterparts in Langly and Washington. As
he says Snowden has no intelligence value to Russia. Remember Russia is
still a major power with similar 'Spy ware' as the west, so it is still part
of the alphabet agencies games of 'I Spy' ! Straight out of a James Bond plot.

Edward Snowden is safe for now, but may want to slip to a safer haven if
    possible.....

'Russia's only choice is to permit Snowden to live here' - Putin

    Published on 5 Sep 2013

Ahead of the G20 summit in St. Petersburg, Russian President Vladimir Putin sat down
for an interview with AP and Channel 1. Among many issues, the leader spoke about
Snowden, Syria, and Russia's controversial gay propaganda law

    Boy is he good!

He speaks on many levels. The main point I get out of this is that Putin is telling the US that if Snowden is such a dastardly criminal in their eyes, then put up or shut up. Put in place an extradiction treaty that goes BOTH ways. If you want him back so badly, then you'll have to send us people we want back as well.

He then goes on to pretty much say that he thinks the US will end up changing their mind about Snowden and let the matter drop because they don't want to agree to any treaty. Besides, he claims Snowden is of no use to him so he has no dog in this fight.

On another level he is saying that it was all a shell game from the very beginning, he knows it and he knows the US knows it as well. He's really enjoying the game. He has basically painted the US into a corner. I say he has won this round.

It reminds me of world war two.
Russia helped the Jews move east and hide from the Nazi invaders.

Looks like they are still hiding them LOL -- just kidding -- and it's not a bad thing to offer asylum. It's a mark of civility.

Putin is a master gamesman. I really enjoyed that interview.

I read that RT on YouTube is pretty much russian state sponsored TV - anyone know if this is true?

RT: Russia Today. It is fully russian and state sponsored. One has to know that what ee hear on Russia Today has definite propangada content pro-russia, against the west including USA. On the other hand we have the complete reverse on FOX or C NN. Therefore havin Russia Today offers balance, up to us to see through the propaganda. Liste ing to Al Jazeera offers a third alternative with eyes opening documentaries and comments too. Imo

....and EuroNews provides yet another perspective.

What I would like to know is, why hasn't Snowden dropped any bombs about 911?

Thousands of leaked documents, and not one little tidbit about the greatest lie in modern history?

911 is still the number 1 issue that must be addressed by Americans, plain and simple.

I may have woken up a NYC firefighter this morning... he is one of my customers... and he was one of the first responders. I swear he was about ready to hit me at one point, but I had my laptop with me, and showed him some things... and when that man left he was very rattled and shaken to his core...

It's time to get whole ugly truth out on the table... Americans are ready... there will be nowhere for the cabal to hide

I'm beginning to suspect that Snowden was microchipped as were all 1.4 million of his peers. .... and wit a built in GPS they know exactly where he has been... and as usual we're all being played.

The same as any other state, At the moment as far as I can see its a mix of 'Free
thinkers' like Max Keiser and the likes. With the usual establishment journalistic
backbone , with a bias towards its outlook on the world like any other news
outlet. It has a lot of internet based stories and experts and bloggers as guests
much more then mainstream I find.

But agendas change for now I like the majority of their reporting. I also like the
BBC and Channel 4 and will use material from any source if it is portraying a
genuine account of a story, and sometimes even biased news reports to
    show 'contrast'.

I'm fully aware a lot of stories are sourced thru agencies like Rueters and we must
make as best a judgement as we can, on any story we are listening to on whatever media.

I don't think Edward Snowden is a whistleblower , with a general agenda more like Bradley Manning
just wanting to expose what he knew. Like Putin said it did not look like he thought it thru long term,
which would explain why he left his girlfriend and secure life style.

You could look at it as disinfo to show the floors in security and tighten up against future whistleblowing
in the security services after the Wiki leaks & Manning case.

There was a article on the BBC yesterday talking about super inscription security. But that will open a
challenge to a new set of 'Hackers'....

I'm not sure why people would think he would have access to anything relating to 9/11. Something like that would not be an official operation of the NSA. It would be carried out by rogue elements of various agencies and branches of the military. He was pretty low level. Something like PRISM would be common knowledge to anyone working with the NSA, so that's an easy target. He also hasn't come out with anything UFO related, but why would he have access to that sort of info? Anything revealing relating to 9/11 would have been scrubbed long before he started working there.

Maybe they're really careful about not doing that. Those types of people would be extremely aware of the vulnerability any type of electronic communication.

Default Obama is schooled on how to do politics by Putin, End of US imperialism?

I feel that there has been a lot of focused intent toward exposing Obama's manipulations in Syria.
Which all appears to be working exceptionally well.

Thousands of people have taken it upon themselves to make an absolute farce of Obama's position, with devastating results to any MSM attempt to support more war.

The comments and tweets following a news article are far more likely to display a thoughtful evaluation of the topic than the article itself, something the MSM must agree with as they appear to now use tweets to form the basis of most opinion articles.

Putin's recent op-ed piece in the NYT is an incredibly ballsy move, and seems to have delivered a mortal blow to the Obama Administration, and possibly even to American imperialism in general!

When a majority of american citizens trust the leader of Russia more than they trust their own leader... well...

I would invite you to speculate on where this might end.

This would be a excellent opportunity for the american people to prove they are 'exceptional' and restore their constitution and dignity.

Putin was playing chess while Obama was playing checkers. The NWO and their trusted front men (and women) were "exceptionally" amateurish on this round and were simply outplayed. That can be extremely dangerous, however. One has to wonder if these insane sociopaths will accept defeat gracefully, lick their wounds, and regroup for a future round sometime down the line, or whether they will simply upend the chess board in a fit of rage.
