Aye, Yukondiva, nice moon out tonight.

I just came across a new Red Ice interview about Gurdjieff. Think I might check that out:

@Mini Flash, you are lucky to be an only child. When two children argue and the little one starts telling fibs (lies) and playing the victim, the Daddy can get it wrong and will hear all about it years later when they’re in their twenties

@heretogrow: the last time I heard about a bushel was as an eight-year-old in school. It sounded big then, and it sounds big now

Talking of alien abductions, my son’s political career so far has been a brief episode as a kid working unofficially for the unofficial MLNJ (Mouvement pour la Libération des Nains de Jardin), abducting garden gnomes. Unfortunately, he just dumped them at the bottom of our garden, and when I found them he just dumped them at the bottom of the nearest gnome lover’s garden. Reminds me of Stephen King’s Dome, where great havoc is caused by a bunch of other-dimensional kids having a bit of fun.

My two sons about 5 years apart ... despite some expected rifts over the years ... have really become best of friends.

Not sure how we as a family would have continued without that ...

same here. 5 years is a little too much, but we weren't into mass production. No rifts here, but very different except for essentials.

No jokes! I'm always telling people how they are neglecting their internet habits, sharing every piece of their life. I disconnected from social networks years ago, just saved my twitter account (no real name in there, no personal photos, no gps locations etc...)

Even that I feel worried about my entire life surfing the web without control. Gmail, eBay, PayPal, my Android phone connected and synced constantly, whatsApp chat... I use them all A LOT... Geez...

I always say to my friends with sarcasm: "Nothing happens by now, apparently... Yeah laugh my friend, just laugh..."

    Peace!

Oh, and regarding internet privacy... A few days ago I wanted to open a Flickr account to upload and share some of the pics I shot (I'm trying to learn a bit of photography) and they asked for my telephone number, as a mandatory field!!

Why the hell do you need my phone number for? Screw this! I'll open a 500px account instead...

Just read about an incident in Atenas, where a poor child was attacked by an unknown woman. One photograph immortalized the moment.

I can't understand this sort of actions, whats happening with this dehumanized society?

The evil in just one pic:

Lyrics to a song Reilly posted

Quote And sometimes when you're on you're really ** on
And your friends they sing along and they love you
But the lows are so extreme that the good seems ** cheap
And it teases you for weeks in its absence
But you'll fight and you'll make it through
You'll fake it if you have to
And you'll show up for work with a smile
And you'll be better you'll be smarter
More grown up and a better daughter
Or son and a real good friend
And you'll be awake and you'll be alert
You'll be positive though it hurts
And you'll laugh and embrace all your friends
And you'll be a real good listener
You'll be honest you'll be brave
You'll be handsome you'll be beautiful
    You'll be happy

Your ship may be coming in
You're weak but not giving in
To the cries and the wails of the valley below
Your ship may be coming in
You're weak but not giving in
And you'll fight it you'll go out fighting all of them...
    I'm still feeling it...

Faith is a funny thing, no? Faith is trusting that which one cannot see, cannot feel, cannot find using the five senses. Trust is greater than the five senses. It is stronger than the mountain it may move, though it is quieter than a whisper. The trick to finding faith is to quit looking around for it. It isn't out there. It is in here.

    Notes to self.

Every week we go into Dallas. And every week there is someone who needs a hand, standing at this particular on ramp to the highway across from this particular convenience store. Always a different person.

Yesterday, it was an older black man, a little man with a scruffy white beard, relying on a cane to walk. And a tear fell down my face. Not in sadness, but because I finally lived to see the day. I was fourth in line at the light. And finally, after every week wishing this would happen, I watched as every car in front of me produced an arm outstretched to the soul in need.

And this man, when seeing my outstretched arm, made an effort to hurry. I told him, take your time. I will wait. And do you know what he said? "Bless you." Bless me? Bless me? I said, "you have blessed me."

As I remember this, I would like to bow at this man's feet. Bless me? Oh, honey, I am blessed beyond measure.

    Much Love,

    Much Love,
1inMany, not to spoil your lovely post in any way, but that is not the only reality of these guys, here in France at least. Some of them make a pretty decent living out of it - not that I would like to be in their shoes. They have their own patch and they work office hours, going back to a place laid on for them, and they may get some kind of benefit as well. My wife has passed the same man at the same light for years. You cannot be giving money all the time, but when the light is red, they have a bit of a chinwag, and he enjoys that, even though he knows it is a waste of time financially. Which is another way of showing how a little humanity goes a long way.

All true, araucaria. All true. But...Garth Brooks did a song a while back and the lyrics touch me every time I listen. I can't share it, of course, because he is such a marketing genius and might be a tad greedy (can't make the judgment, but I sure can wonder)...you can't find anything he has done, himself, free to share. Oh, it is called "The Change."

    Here are the lyrics.

    Quote One hand
    Reaches out
And pulls a lost soul from harm
While a thousand more go unspoken for
They say what good have you done
    By saving just this one
    It's like whispering a prayer
In the fury of a storm

And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me

    This heart
    Still believes
The love and mercy still exist
While all the hatred rage and so many say
That love is all but pointless in madness such as this
It's like trying to stop a fire
With the moisture from a kiss

And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me

As long as one heart still holds on
Then hope is never really gone

I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world we know
    Never changes me

    What I do is so
    This world will know
That it will not change me
So what I give, I give freely. What he does with it, I don't even care any more. It's more about me than him. I will continue to feed the little lost puppies, haha, and I will continue to give as wisely as I know how. There are a few kids at school that begin to take advantage of Em's giving nature, so I know this exists. But I will not close up because of it. I will just be careful.

    Much Love,
1inMany, not to spoil your lovely post in any way, but that is not the only reality of these guys, here in France at least.
This is one of the most complex issues. To help people who are poor,
To help the needy, is the right thing to do.
But to beg for cash without offering anything in return, is wrong.
So this makes no sense, I know.
Most decent people when they become needy would not dream of becoming beggars.
Their dignity forbids it. And I think they have a better chance at true recovery than someone who begs.
But begging is lucrative, if you have a good spot, especially by a slow traffic light.
And once it is lucrative, it becomes addictive, and the beggar loses all possibility of spiritual growth.
So I haven't figured it out completely. On Wednesday we ignored a woman who came up to our car window....
Her vibes were just awful. She seemed healthy, too.

With the children it becomes more complex. We know that if they don't bring home a certain sum they often get beaten.
Sometimes I ask them why they are not in school. One six year old told me that the teachers are too strict, using the word 'exigente' which is rather a big word for someone so young, and uneducated.
Well, maybe street education is working for him better than school education.
It's so hard to judge. I used to wish I could live back in Europe, to escape the poverty here...
but I hear it has become just as bad there.
When I was in Toronto I saw endless homeless people, begging, while talking on cell phones.

Yes. Mother Teresa would not give charity, she gave opportunities for the poor to earn their keep. Short of being able to do this on a world-wide scale, we can only trust our instincts in given situations.

Life is a road we don't travel alone. But everyone's on their own journey home.

I'v got to ask, do Avalonians want to protect there info from non governmental hacks, or is it really from nsa, cia...etc.....?

I ask this cause I assumed ( like an a s s ) that the "they" and those "others" can see through walls, and monitor through cable boxes, and ip addressess... and those guys that stare at goats and such, to where if they want the info its already there....

beyond technology, we talk about humans and other beings have all these abilities... and it just makes me wonder what you guys really think, beyond the jokes of nsa and other alphabet soup companies.

I realize waving a red flag in a bulls face isn't wise... but is it naive to think "they" don't already have the info on you? Earth humans are mapping brainwaves.. what do "they" have the ability to do?

just some museings, and sirius contemplation

Have to share this text I just received:

I have a dream last night that you brought Claude Giroux to a New Year’s Eve party and you had matching mustaches. So weird.
