Hey, maybe we will get neuralyzed soon and we won't even remember that we had this conversation here.

Sitting here in the afternoon sun, listening to the sounds of the aquarium. There is only one fish in one. It is tiny and bluish, swimming around a living pink coral. I wonder if it is lonely, but am told it is territorial. It lives in its own little microcosm -- much as we do in the scheme of the universe. The cats ignore it -- for now anyway. I need to pack to go to the islands and am in need of coffee --

When I was still living in the "islands" (Barbados) we had an aquarium, for my son....
and I would worry about the fish being lonely.
And my maid would say, noo, maan, dads deir wurrrl...
She taught me a lot, that wondrous soul....

No, we'll be continuing the conversation, not even realizing we passed over,
until sometime in the distant future some kid tells their mum that they saw ghosts in their tablet...hehe....

Yes the fish is fine -- just projecting how I would feel if I lived in a glass tank by myself -- different fish universe...

I just noticed that you sent your post at 22:22 local time here... Too many synchronities and number sequences during this week! I've been lately feeling so down both physically and mentally... I suppose that my spirit guides are trying to cheer me up. Somehow I find a lot of comfort in laughter.

Hello Villagers. Stopping in to peep my head in for a flash. Hope all are doing well. Missing all of you. I have been away from Avalon and this thread for some time. As I travel a lot by plane, flying from Europe to Seattle to see my daughter and her family, I often wondered why people can't use their cellphones or other devices while taking off or landing.
However, it never came up to ask this question, although I've always been the first one to put up my finger from the time I was a child.

That was priceless. I could just feel years and years of stored up frustration leaving me while I was watching that.

Now, what can you offer us about US immigration and the questions that come up while standing in line there?

My daughter has moved to the US in 2001, so I don't know how entering the US used to be before 9/11 , as I never visited the country prior to that date.
The questioning and that whole security circus has been there as far as I know. It's annoying that they have to take fingerprints of all my ten fingers every time I enter the US. The same for the eye scan, or whatever they do.
The queuing-up takes a lot of time. Taking off shoes and belts. Taking out laptops and other similar divides. Opening suitcases, dogs sniffing around my hand luggage.
It wasn't that bad when I went to East Berlin at Checkpoint Charlie  in the seventies.

Last Friday the 4th of October, when the government shutdown had begun, I entered the US again and I met with very kind and relaxed custom officers, not spending much time on nasty questions.
As if they were having their own protest action by being as nice and easy-going  as possible......

I was just thinking of you today. I read in a very good book written in the 70's by PhD medical doctors about all kind of ailments and natural cure. They were mentioning that epilepsy was due to a lack of manganese. It seems that some people took manganese suppléments and poof, the epilepsy was gone. Why not try it?

The crone approaches. So many changes at once, I don't even know which one to process first. I might be walking my road alone. I'm torn between wanting to tell my friends why, and knowing this is not a private little island village shared only by closest friends.

Sometimes, after a long shared life, one loses oneself. The choices made cannot be unmade, decisions cannot be undone. Every day is a spring that feeds the river that eventually joins the ocean. When one is swimming in the ocean, or sometimes feeling like one is drowning, one does not consider every drop of water or how it arrived there.

Still, it is an ocean. Sometimes it is a sea of happiness, sometimes an ocean of despair, though the drops do not change.

On the one hand (here I go again), no one really walks the path alone. On the other hand, there is no other way. Watching children grow up and move on is bittersweet. Add this other stuff, and I have one big ball of growth in my hands.

It seems that after waking up a bit, seeing more of the All now than I did a year ago, I can see a Higher purpose. But that doesn't mean my Here and Now is any easier. It is actually more complex. This is still a human experience, after all.

Here and Now, I sit with this computer on my lap, the heat radiating from it reminding me I need a(nother) cooling pad. The overhead light is on, which I really do not like. I like lamps. It gives me a headache. The a/c in the window is back on after a period of silence. The house is quiet for the moment, other than the rattling from the a/c, conducive to thinking and pondering on things which I would rather ignore. The sun is shining. The sky is blue. The trees are green. The yard is too high, but since the mower has a flat tire (yet again) I will need to find and pay someone to come help out.
