Yes, uncontrolled logging is not the same as planting trees and going through the whole cycle. In the one case, there is a deficit, in the other there is zero loss over time. What conservationists forget is that maintaining a given number of trees or even expanding forests does not mean no logging at all.

Here and now...chilly outside. I think it will be a sunny day. Several things humming in my environment, would like to shut them completely off. Devin is laying at my feet. It is pep rally and football day. The house needs a once over, the never ending to do list. My mom once said that house cleaning is like stringing beads with no knot. I concur. Dropped Em at school, she is such a happy little soul. She likes to be silly, and just laugh or smile. That is helpful, I'm thankful. My foundations are being shaken, transformation can be quite often painful or difficult. Sometimes it ends well, it always ends, and there is always change.

Wanted to share this morning, no wisdom comes to mind. So you, my village friends, get mundane. C'est la vie...

More than one meaning ... another has to do with type of movement ...

lumbering

1 awkward in movement
2 moving with a rumbling sound

lumbering

awkward, blundering, bovine, bumbling, clumsy, elephantine, heavy, heavy-footed, hulking, lubberly, overgrown, ponderous, ungainly, unwieldy

So ... yes a lumbering lumberjack could have two meanings


(myself ... me thinks whoever came up with the English language didn't have humanity's best interest at heart ... but perhaps that's just me)

well, i have been dragging my feet for the thyroid testings. I even lost a testing request (specialists do not like to sign one twice). I maybe procrastinating. I Wonder if it is real lack of fear, or unconscious fear, making me do these things.

Now, something else happen that I am not proud of:

I have been studying all kind of psychometric tests lately, and of course, before studying them, I have to pass them myself.

Some of the abiliies test I passed in my younger years (20's) and had quite high results. I pass them again, and if I do not correct for age, some of the tests I came out average. Ouf.... from within the 2% top to average. I was flabberghasted and truly annoyed. Is it what growing old does, to the body and the mind. Lots of these test have to do with speed, I bet I am growing old.

I will have intelligence testing soon. Again, my scoring was good then but I wonder what it will be now..... scary. And no, I will not give you the results.

In conclusion, Carmody, you were in the genius range and could not communicate with anybody. Give it a few more years, you will be in bordeline genius range and will get married. LOL LOL You have to get stupider to get married man, we knew right!

Life is like that short story 'Flowers for Algernon'.
I believe the only difference with people is the length of time they can stay in genius mode....
some people have several peaks a month, others have only one in a lifetime.
Those are the ones who allowed themselves to be pulled back by family and traditions.

"We need trust among allies and partners," Merkel told reporters in Brussels. "Such trust now has to be built anew. This is what we have to think about."

"The United States of America and Europe face common challenges. We are allies," the German leader said. "But such an alliance can only be built on trust. That's why I repeat again: spying among friends, that cannot be."

Just when a whistleblower (honestly or planted?) comes forth that "leaders" have to respond to keep the game realistic ...

Of course you are right. But she is still raising the issue of spying, and in a personal way.
So she wants some people to understand it is not ok.
Remember how many are still out there who are saying 'I have nothing to hide...so let them do it.'
The duality game helps people make choices, and find their own opinions.
