Default Four Horsemen - Feature Documentary

FOUR HORSEMEN is an independent feature documentary which lifts the lid on how the world really works.

As we will never return to 'business as usual' 23 international thinkers, government advisors and Wall Street money-men break their silence and explain how to establish a moral and just society.

FOUR HORSEMEN is free from mainstream media propaganda -- the film doesn't bash bankers, criticise politicians or get involved in conspiracy theories. It ignites the debate about how to usher a new economic paradigm into the world which would dramatically improve the quality of life for billions.

"It's Inside Job with bells on, and a frequently compelling thesis thanks to Ashcroft's crack team of talking heads -- economists, whistleblowers and Noam Chomsky, all talking with candour and clarity." - Total Film

"Four Horsemen is a breathtakingly composed jeremiad against the folly of Neo-classical economics and the threats it represents to all we should hold dear."
    - Harold Crooks, The Corporation (Co-Director) Surviving Progress (Co-Director/Co-Writer)

Well, it was a good documentary. It is their solution I love. Reward those who played the game while fully asleep or too lazy or too afraid to leave the system behind as much as possible. Forgive them their debts and let them keep their homes. But the few of us who long ago rejected the system, who do not own property, or have retirement funds, or have credit to parlay into profits, get nothing. Nope, their solution is unfair. And just because it is better than this system does not mean that it is the right road to go down.

And you know what, for the sake of peace, for the sake of the thousands starving around the world, for the sake of the millions dispossessed, for the sake of future generations - I accept the inherent unfairness in their solution. I accept that I will be given nothing and not compensated for the decade of struggle I have endured in order to be able to sleep at nite, to be able to hold my head up high and not have bouts of conscience to contend with.

So, I say, get on with it. Give those who were too enamored by the system to even think of opposing it their undeserved booty, so long as from that point on they have a bit of compassion for the rest of us, the few, that will again have to dig themselves out of the hole their fellow man forced them into by their apathy and ignorance. I can do it, the few can do it, because that is what we are: survivors with undauntable spirit.

    Cheers Wind
This is one of those great documentaries which is as powerful by what it does not say as by what it does. As it explains at the beginning it just presents the facts of our situation, without a lot of the speculative baggage that is going to turn off people and enable nay Sayers to put a label such as conspiracy theory or communist on it.

I think this is perfect for general consumption, you could share this with anyone and they would not think you are insane, if they can be bothered to watch it.

This will help bring many more people the strength to face up to the situation.

An excellent documentary, I will be recommending it far and wide. One feels a bit at a lose how to go about changing any of it though. Being debt free and managing my farm in a way that is sustainable and evolves the natural resources here and including all who work here in profit sharing is my individual contribution but otherwise I'm at a loss how one person, or even s group of people can change such a corrupt financial system!

I'm glad that the document has gained attention here. To be honest I too have had only superficial information about the financial system before, but now I truly understand that how ridicilous it is. We have been debt slaves in a utterly corrupt system, but we can choose to be free. Hopefully the collapse won't be a catastrophic one. Surely we can do better than this?

Always been on the bottom rung, with tentative forays into the second. I decided I don't like the game. Not enough value in it to justify the effort. Obviously I'm in the minority. That is why this is not my topic. Any system devised by the world's citizens will be alright with me. It cannot be any worse than this one. As long as others just accept it and stop stabbing each other in the back and going to war so they can fill up their gastanks, I'm jiggy with it.

And no matter what system we ultimately choose, can we please stop hunger from ever being a reality for anyone ever again? And maybe help the poor to an education and maybe a bit of healthcare so they can live relatively free of pain and unnecessary illnesses. Because I heard none of that either in these solutiuons, just the propaganda for the middle class getting a free ride.

I like the part about trickle-down economics and how it doesn't work - by the time money reaches the poor, the buying power is gone.

Great documentary. It describes the problems of our very illogical and unfair economic system in a very logical way. I'm just surprised this was out in 2011 and I've never even heard of it until now.

I finished watching this this morning and have forwarded it to various friends as it is quite mainstream compared to some. Anyway, certainly one of the best documentaries I have seen in recent years especially on the economy. I am going to download it onto the big screen and get my family to watch it tonight. It also explains the banking fiasco without going into too much detail about leverage, sub-prime, derivatives etc so understandable to the layman - I hope my family will watch it objectively as they love to tease me about 'conspiracy theories'. I thought Inside Job was good but this goes further.

Applaud the film for being so informative and easily understandable, although with much emphasis placed on the benefits of classical economical model I'm questioning did i have a lapse of concentration and miss the section on practical alternatives to both neo and classical economical systems?

I watched the first video, it's got a silly fear lean that we are running out of resources.... WRONG! a resource is only a resource because we know how to use it to benefit ourselves, EVERYTHING IS A RESOURCE! (we just haven't learned how to use everything yet, it will come).

the first movie had a great budget and a fear based message... it was interesting but not something I would stand wholly behind.

I'm an hour into "the greatest truth never told" and am much more impressed, while this information shouldn't be new to anyone reading here, and the delivery is a touch above dry; the ideas are exactly what people need to know and are delivered in a cohesive way so far.

Didn't watch the first one, but did watch The Greatest Truth Never Told and found it to be an excellent summary of what's going on and what's (possibly/probably) coming.

It was fast paced and well narrated.

    BUMP!
