That puts a new spin on the saying: "We are all one," now doesn't it?

Been humming this the last coupla days. No other version has the discordant effect that makes this song so good.

Couldn't remember anything today. Very strange. Phone calls were forgotten, appointments for tomorrow, conversations missed, even my sentences dangled, for heavens sake. Couldn't keep my mind focussed; I just sort of drifted through the day. A friend was a big help today - out of the blue. Good thing too, I probably would have gotten lost, otherwise...

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. Bruce Lee

Free will can only be as free as the mind that conceives it.

Well this is what a time-travelers’ AGM might look like ‘under the dome’ as Stephen King might put it: this God is called Robert Heinlein, whose stories have one character playing all the parts in succession. A quick debriefing and off you go on your next reincarnation. AGMs always have the same old boring agenda: approving how we cooked last year’s books and how we intend to cook next year’s books.

I’m done with AGMs and with playing Jesus and Hitler and everyone else in between. From the standpoint of infinity/timelessness outside the dome, all this is in the past, in the present, in the future, in time. It’s all done and dusted. Time to smash that dome.

Love the image....smashing that dome. When dad died, back in 1980, I would have loved someone in my circle to tell me that. Just so that I would have another chance of meeting his essence, without having to go through another incarnation dance in which I wouldn't know who he was .
i know now that we have a lot more options than just being recycled according to some guys orders. The trick is developing enough of an adventurous spirit...
By the way, were you thinking of "Time Enough for Love" when you mentioned Heinlein?

Ulli, watch your young friends - your Dad could be over thirty by now if he came back.
I think the adventurous spirit is someone with enough imagination and experience (future and past views) to somehow grasp the whole picture in the here and now. For me, this does not involve exhaustive personal experience of every possible viewpoint, which would take a kind of hellish eternity in time (as opposed to timelessness), which is the temporal aspect of the dome. This whole scenario meets up round the back with the ultimate nightmare, being alone in a hall of mirrors, whereas the interest and value of the finite experience is enjoying otherness, your Dad’s essence being a particularly intense example of this.

I haven’t actually read that much Heinlein. I was thinking of ‘By His Bootstraps’, a fairly simple example, and some more elaborate story of several generations all being the same person, I forget the title.

Wow....of course! Duh! My shrink is my dad, reincarnated. But then again...
Nah, he wouldn't have come back as a Costa Rican, never....
    Nor as a Barbadian.
He was a Prussian, through and through.
He even looked like Friederich the Great. So maybe he came back as a British royal reptilian...hahaha...

Both my son and his astral twin were nearly two years old when Dad died.
But thanks anyway, for sending me on a new quest.
I will now spend the next few days comparing birth charts of all the people I have met who are under 33,
with that of my late father. But somehow I doubt that he would have wanted to come back at all.
I have a feeling he is way up there amongst the stars. He was a Virgo, with a Pisces Moon. Full moon birth...
Which means that he had a knack of striking a balance, which is the ticket for getting out of here.

My Dad died in 1990. Coming a full circle (no contradiction here), I am not so much looking for him as discovering that I am him.

Take it for what you will, but I see that time being a double flow, we often reincarnate sometime before our death, as much as we might after. There is a window, there, which we come through to here. Things have gotten even more mixed up, with the increase in population, making a way for some souls to incarnate in redundancy. An easy way to translate it back would be to see how a soul might be hanging around its potential window for some time before or after its avenue into the physical has been manifested into the reality, or the dome, so to speak. There is something like time in the timelessness, of which our time is a reflection, but the thing like time on the other side defies all concept we could make of it, so we think of infinity and timelessness instead. Its like knowing the personality of a person, when all you can see is their shadow, and you cannot hear the words they are saying, not having the correct sense to perceive. We don't ever know that, here and now, but in self exploration and excavation and just stillness, we gradually become acquainted with ourselves as we are on the other side. To get there we pass through the valley of the shadow of death, and we fear no evil. We literally face down the monsters of the psyche, all those disgusting elements, we deal with the dead, we sit with them, we honor them, the horrors they show us are ours not theirs. Once we encounter that of ourselves that we would most like to keep buried, the there is the point from which may be seen the unadulterated reality, outside the dome. All of what we fear in death, of death, is faced here and now, so when the time comes, a proper response can be made. I could ramble on, but the garden beckons.

I just made a $ donation to the Philippine crisis...using a Canadian charity called Globalmedics.
The Canadian government promises to match each donation 100%.
They accept Paypal...which makes it so much more convenient to give.
And in my heart I made that donation in honor of my Dad..sniff, sniff....
33 years late, but better late, than never. And what does it matter anyway, in timelessness?

Ain't no way around it, only through it. I think the planetary influences under which this situation presented itself are moving on soon. I wonder how that will feel, what that will look like.

Em's teacher is a bitch. I'm sick of dealing with all that.

Lord only knows if K is sneaking around seeing whatshisname. At least Little One is being kept out of it if she is. I feel you too, Flash.

Couldn't jiminii use some postulate or other on his tooth? Seems like that would be small beans compared to the weather and such. Sending good thoughts his way...

I volunteer to drink as much beer as is humanly possible to support Reilly's efforts of beautifying the world. Ha. Okay, maybe I only wish I could. And Ernie...and julia...and just everybody...I'm with you all, in your daily here and nows. I am. Always.

    Much Love,
Life is a road we don't travel alone. But everyone's on their own journey home.

Today is Baha'u'llah's birthday. (b. November 12th, 1817 in Teheran)

So I feel inspired to post a paragraph of His:

Only when the lamp of search, of earnest striving, of longing desire,
of passionate devotion, of fervid love, of rapture, and ecstasy,
is kindled within the seeker's heart, and the breeze of His loving-kindness
is wafted upon his soul, will the darkness of error be dispelled,
the mists of doubts and misgivings be dissipated,
and the lights of knowledge and certitude envelop his being.

At that hour will the Mystic Herald, bearing the joyful tidings of the Spirit,
shine forth from the City of God resplendent as the morn, and,
through the trumpet-blast of knowledge, will awaken the heart, the soul,
and the spirit from the slumber of heedlessness.

Then will the manifold favors and outpouring grace of the holy and everlasting Spirit
confer such new life upon the seeker that he will find himself endowed with a new eye,
a new ear, a new heart, and a new mind.
He will contemplate the manifest signs of the universe, and will penetrate the hidden mysteries of the soul.

Gazing with the eye of God, he will perceive within every atom a door
that leadeth him to the stations of absolute certitude.
He will discover in all things the mysteries of Divine Revelation,
and the evidences of an everlasting Manifestation.

I swear by God! Were he that treadeth the path of guidance
and seeketh to scale the heights of righteousness to attain unto this glorious and exalted station,
he would inhale, at a distance of a thousand leagues, the fragrance of God,
and would perceive the resplendent morn of a Divine guidance rising above the Day Spring of all things.

Each and every thing, however small, would be to him a revelation,
leading him to his Beloved, the Object of his quest." ~Baha'u'llah

I am. Always.

    Much Love,

Jim is better at working the weather than fixing his own toothaches.

He just PMmed me that his toothache is gone...so, Villagers, I'll be handing out some more medals again....

Actually, I wish he had mentioned it earlier,
as then he would have been able to save a few thousand lives in the Philippines.
I say we ask for him to be reinstated on the main forum...quite a few people who "got" him now miss his presence.....

We (most of us, anyway) would see it happening on one specific day.

For each of them, it can be any day at all. (different for each of them) Past date, future date, could be any day, as they would each follow their own internal pattern.

However, for a human, at least as far as I know, the longer we stay in a given 'timespace' the more it impinges upon us to be connected to that timespace and the more we become as it is. 'It' being the greater sum, so it is the individual that shifts, not the 'environment'. Unless, of course, much energy is used to 'hold' what the individual is and knows, and how they integrate with the given environment. My guess is that absorption is eventual, due to the nature of the given environment's never ending difference (whole/all), that impinges upon the individual's will (bubble within that 'all').

    My November Guest
    Robert Frost

My Sorrow, when she's here with me,
Thinks these dark days of autumn rain
    Are beautiful as days can be;
    She loves the bare, the withered tree;
She walks the sodden pasture lane.

Her pleasure will not let me stay.
She talks and I am fain to list:
She's glad the birds are gone away,
She's glad her simple worsted grey
Is silver now with clinging mist.

    The desolate, deserted trees,
The faded earth, the heavy sky,
The beauties she so truly sees,
She thinks I have no eye for these,
And vexes me for reason why.

Not yesterday I learned to know
The love of bare November days
Before the coming of the snow,
But it were vain to tell her so,
And they are better for her praise
"Rather than love, than fame, than money, give me truth."
    ~Henry David Thoreau
