Default Seattle Police & Department of Homeland Security do NOT want to talk about this!

The Seattle Police did not want to talk to the newspaper about this. Neither did the Department of Homeland Security.

The Big Brother control grid is constantly growing and expanding all over America. Right now, a “wireless mesh network” is in the process of being installed in Seattle that some believe will ultimately have the capability of tracking the location of every wireless device in the city. If you live in downtown Seattle, just look for the little off-white boxes that are being attached to utility poles all over the place. You can see a bunch of pictures of these little boxes right here. Meanwhile, other major U.S. cities have been installing vast networks of surveillance cameras and listening devices. We are being told that such measures will help police “solve more crime”. We are being told that such measures will “keep people safe”. But what about our privacy? Doesn’t that count for something? What about the Fourth Amendment? Are our most cherished liberties and freedoms going to be thrown into the trash just because we live “in a more dangerous world”?

The Stranger is a Seattle newspaper that recently did a major story about this “wireless mesh network” that has been going up all over the city. What they found out is extremely disturbing…

If you’re walking around downtown Seattle, look up: You’ll see off-white boxes, each one about a foot tall with vertical antennae, attached to utility poles. If you’re walking around downtown while looking at a smartphone, you will probably see at least one—and more likely two or three—Wi-Fi networks named after intersections: “4th&Seneca,” “4th&Union,” “4th&University,” and so on. That is how you can see the Seattle Police Department’s new wireless mesh network, bought from a California-based company called Aruba Networks, whose clients include the Department of Defense, school districts in Canada, oil-mining interests in China, and telecommunications companies in Saudi Arabia.

The question is: How well can this mesh network see you?

How accurately can it geo-locate and track the movements of your phone, laptop, or any other wireless device by its MAC address (its “media access control address”—nothing to do with Macintosh—which is analogous to a device’s thumbprint)? Can the network send that information to a database, allowing the SPD to reconstruct who was where at any given time, on any given day, without a warrant? Can the network see you now?

Gov. Documents Expose Massive Domestic Spying Operation

EXCLUSIVE: Snowden Level Documents Reveal Stealth DHS Spy Grid
http://www.infowars.com/exclusive-sno...

Exclusive documents obtained by Infowars from an insider government source have revealed the true origin and nature of the highly secretive 'mesh network' spy grid that has garnered massive media attention due to the fact that the network's strange downtown Seattle spy boxes can track the last 1,000 GPS locations of cellphone users. But as new documents reveal, the grid is far deeper than the media is telling you. The Seattle DHS spy system ultimately ties in with an enormous stealth database that acts as an intelligence hub for all of your personal data.

On page 55 of the "Port Security Video Surveillance System with Wireless Mesh Network" project document that we have obtained, a diagram reveals the system's basic communication abilities in regards to the Port of Seattle that the DHS has refused to comment on despite funding with millions in taxpayer dollars.

Only a day after we broke the news that the feds are now deploying public microphones capable of recording conversations across America, we have now confirmed today that white boxes hoisted about the streets of Seattle can track your every move as you stroll through the city.

    Interesting "Sync" or not,

I noticed a heavy police presence in N. Dallas this morning and noted the date Nov. 13 and its significance of several known and unknown drills that were mainly to be in Region 3 according to budget leaks (Date FEMA/DHS Agency Wide "Drills" BEGIN).

I noted their behavior and it was a "Show Of" type of display in at least 3 cities in 2 counties I drove through (It is a DFW City structure thing). They were ALL wearing Non faded pressed uniforms and I would assume no scuffed shoes or boots... they didn't seem as interested in pulling people over as in being seen and maybe keeping an eye out. It made me want to keep an eye on the skies for FEMA "Big Wigs" flying around looking at their minions from above in a black chopper...

Sounds a little silly but I think with all the back and forth keeping an eye and ear open the next couple of weeks would be a good idea.

    Exo (and Co!),

Seattle is a very weird place.
There is a lot of anti-homeless sentiment downtown among the business owners.
They remind me of the Californian small businesses who tried to keep immigrant Sikhs from feeding the homeless.

I think Seattle Po-Po has gunshot detectors, Skycam and possibly other types of persistent cameras, DARPA image recognition, mobile license plate scanning (persistent), and more.

You wouldn't believe how many police there are in Seattle, either. Not to mention the whole situation with the Intellistreets lights and boxes.

Something is very rotten in Seattle, and the ironic thing is, when an earthquake finally strikes it, all of this DHS infrastructure will "have to be replaced" and in the meantime the populace will be starving.

Right before Watson (on prisonplanet) posted on Intellistreets, I was going to do an article here but didn't have time, lol -- we would have been both bitching about the 500 dollar street lights.

Seattle Wi-Fi Spy Network Has NOT Been Deactivated

White boxes still broadcasting signal day after police promised to switch them off

    Paul Joseph Watson
    Prison Planet.com
    November 14, 2013

Despite claims by the Seattle Police Department that a wi-fi mesh network which had the capability to store an individual’s last 1,000 locations via their cellphone had been deactivated in response to a privacy outcry, the network still appears to be active.

On Tuesday, the SPD announced that Police Chief Jim Pugel had given the order to deactivate the network. However, as of Wednesday afternoon at 4pm, it was still very much active.
A Reddit user posted the image above of the white wi-fi hub located at 2nd & Cherry. While no one expects the SPD to remove all the boxes within 24 hours, authorities did promise to switch off the network.
That clearly hasn’t happened since, as the screenshot below shows, the wi-fi hubs are still broadcasting a signal, giving them the capability to track the location of every cellphone in the vicinity even if it is not connected to the network.

Another Reddit user commented that, “The devices remain broadcasting all over downtown.”
As we documented earlier this week, the $2.7 million dollar system, funded by a Department of Homeland Security grant, consists of a series of white wi-fi boxes affixed to utility poles with which authorities eventually plan to blanket the entire city.

The system can track cellphones even if they are not connected to the network, according to promotional documents by manufacturer Aruba Networks, which bragged that the grid could ensnare “rogue” or “unassociated” devices. The system can also collect a mobile user’s IP address, mobile device type, apps used, and historical locations.
Infowars subsequently obtained documents from a government insider that revealed how the mesh network was far more than just a means of tracking people’s locations, it was also linked with DHS fusion centers and collected a “wealth of information” from the cellphones of people in the coverage area.
While the Seattle Police Department’s failure to deactivate the network is likely due to tardiness and not outright deception, it doesn’t do a great deal to suggest that authorities are that eager to allay the concerns of privacy advocates.

We need to find a way to "pad" our history locations so that the previous one thousand locations make no sense and therefore become useless to track. Histories that indicate we were in London at 10:30; Syria at 10:33; Australia at 10:34 etc. This is the worst kind of invasion. All of these folks that say, well, I have nothing to hide, I haven't done anything wrong...... Living in an electronic prison is not my idea of freedom. How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat? If you don't eat your meat how can you have any pudding? Stand still laddie!!!

If you have a cell phone or other mobile wifi enabled device (two separate technologies but can be both in the same device) then you are a walking government sensor platform. The smarter the device, the better sensor platform you are.

Ever wondered why they are so cheap/affordable ?
