The Intenders - Straddling the Stream
This is from the latest newsletter from the Intenders for the Highest Good:
Straddling the Stream
Today I'd like to share one of my personal intentions with you. I intend that I see everything that's going on around me in its perfection; that I am seeing everything that's going on in our world as being in perfect order and timing; and that I am seeing everyone, no matter who they are or what they're doing, in their highest light, perfect in every way.
Now . . . if I may digress a bit and tell you that, perhaps like you, I have spent the bulk of my life straddling the judgmental stream, with a foot on each side, wavering back and forth between seeing our world as perfect and seeing our world as a place of suffering for so many, myself included. I've seen the nebulous "they" - whoever "they" are - as tyrannical vipers, without conscience, harming, lying, deceiving, enslaving and doing what "they" do in "their" own self interests with little or no regard for the people "they" took an oath to represent and lead.
Consequently, I've seen our entire worldly systems as barely functioning, uncaring and riddled with inequality, choking the human spirit at every turn. In short, for the most part, I've seen our worldly belief and value systems as no longer serving us whatsoever. And yet . . . there's the other part of me who sees it all as divinely orchestrated, giving everyone of us exactly what we need for our evolution in each and every moment. Interesting paradox, huh? And it brings me back to my original intention: that I am always seeing it all in divine perfection.
Clearly, I need to build a bridge so I'm at peace no matter which side of the stream I'm on.
So, when I'm on one side of the proverbial stream, I intend that I'm seeing others, even the plants, animals and Mother Earth herself, as undergoing whatever they need in each moment as perfect for them; and to know that when they are suffering, harmed, pained, downtrodden, ill or dying that that's the situation they need the most for their own forward growth and development. And when I'm on the other side of the stream it is my intention that I am letting others off the hook; that I am forgiving them, regardless of their past or present behavior. Thus, I intend that I am letting our worldly leaders off the hook; that I am letting anyone who I ever thought of as harming me, or anyone else, off the hook - and that includes my parents, my teachers, my ex's, my ancestors, my neighbors and, above all, myself. I forgive us, one and all, here and now.
Whew! That feels much better! Now I can get on with life and stop the straddling, knowing that all my meddling and judging never got me anywhere. Indeed, how could it if it was all perfect to begin with?

To me, this is not the same thing as being quiet about the world you want. Just the opposite, it frees your heart so you can better go about creating the world you want.
