I read that story and saw a couple of syncs:

"Like many other bluesmen of his generation, Spann was born in Mississippi...." and "Around that time, producer Mike Vernon decided to arrange a collaboration between Spann and Fleetwood Mac; on a single day, January 9, 1969......."

Pinetop Perkins was born in MS too.... and died a couple of years ago.

Hi Ulli. You make some interesting observations about physical reality - "what's going on". May I also make an observation about physical reality ?
I want to start with a question; having made these interesting and accurate observations about the ongoing craziness in the world, is it your intention to offer answers or solutions to the problems all these horrible things are causing, or do you seek something else ?
Remember that in seeing the things which are happening around you, and by observing them, you fall under the very spell which is designed to keep you exactly where you are - in a reality which is of "their" making and "their" design. We play by their rules because they made them and it's their game. I see a great many things happening around me in the world; young men who only 1 or 2 years ago were students in a classroom, still bareley more than teenagers, they are now off to fight someone elses war in a far off land. A few of them will come home in a box and never see the newborn babies or their beatiful young wives again. I see traffic wardens given the power of police arrest, I see police given shoot to kill orders and the same weapon usage charter as a soldier in times of civil unrest - on the streets of England! I see new by-laws where you could be arrested for telling a joke, barking like a dog, or making public, an opinion which might offend someone. This is what I am seeing right now, as I write this reply to you, and it is happening on the streets of England.
The powers that be created society with the very intention of making us passive viewers - "stupid eaters" as Henry Kissinger once described the general populace. Therefore, I can tell you that if you want to break out of the observation mode and discover your true value, don't look to "them" - polititions, regulations etc all the things which "they" put in place for themselves and their long term agendas. The answer, and this is important - is to not let the daily shackles of your reality bind your day to "them." Spend at least some of your day inside yourself. All the ways to escape their influence is inside us, NOT outside where they hold all the aces. If you rely on the outside for rescue, you will be ultimately let down. The way for all of us - not just you, but me too - is to tap into the infinate escroll of wisdom and peace that flows within, and through us all connecting every one of us to each other. Please, dont believe me, don't take my word, speak to someone who is an experienced meditator. Let them tell you themselves how powerful we really are. Love and Peace. Littlethunder.

Interesting perception you have of me, Littlethunder.
Although unless you come up with specific examples
I can't quite see which of my posts gave you such an idea.

I admit that I might have used the word" they" a few times,
but that is mostly because the essence of this forum is about the perceived plots and plans of a deceitful elite,
who are not being as transparent with us "great unwashed" as their school curriculum lets the young generation believe.
But I also dedicate many posts to the need to first of all achieve inner unity, or integrity.
Probably more than I do to the fact that humanity is divided into rich and poor; oppressors and oppressed.

Basically what you are telling me in your post here is exactly what I have been telling people for ages.
There is real power within all of us.

"They" are a reflection of us. Whoever we meet is our mirror, either of our conscious self
(like attracts like), or our subconscious (opposites attract).
So if "they" are opposite us in our perception of "them"
maybe we need to first integrate that inner elite that is within each of us.
So I see you and I are really on one page.

But maybe you haven't read all 34000 posts here to have figured that that is my underlying message...

What am I trying to do? How do you mean...with this thread, or in life in general?
Let's see....lots of things, really. I have so many interest I get confused.
I guess I'm trying to live my life, and find my path, like everyone else.

Keep the energy flowing, like a cornucopia, it comes from within...
So I do what's necessary to lift the spirit, help people over the trauma that comes with awakening...
which, after all, is quite a rude shock in most cases.
Like you suggested yourself, inspire people to stay in touch with their innermost reality,
which is their only real domain.

Face their inner demons, and even sometimes battle them.
Then tackling the outer screen of life becomes a joyful experience,
as every incident is only another window to the infinite inner cosmos.

Hello Littlethunder...Wishing You Well and Welcome to the Village : )

This thread that Ulli started quite some time ago with many, many posts covering about every aspect of our personal lives and the world around us and our gathering together to do 'higher' doings is going on in a very combined and unseen way from this place where we type and share...these matters that really matter that you brought up in your post is exactly what we are about...and the 'we' includes some that are not here now but are doing the .'higher' work in unison of spirit.. There are many stories, here and now, throughout these many pages. It is much more than just looking in at a few current posts...going back and forth and up and down and around would take some time to really get to know us...but I will tell you first hand we are the real deal and we are on the cusp of changing the whole paradigm together, now. Avalon has a cluster of selfless souls that are posters and quiet onlookers that are finding that we are a very powerful energy of unison in an ongoing gathering vibrating as a phenomena we are still uncovering the beauty of...we are together in ways we cannot touch in this reality as of yet but it is unfolding in all its graceful glory...because we are feeling it stronger each new day.. have a look around a bit more and give what you may to the wonder of it all coming to BE.
