Exquisite rendition of "O Holy Night" by Jana Mashonee, in the Navaho language. Simply beautiful...

Attachment 24208I liked the cartoon, but I didn't realize I got the sound effects in the screen shot. Can't get rid of the pic to put one where you can see.
    Fixed it. Yeah.

Beautiful rendition of Oh Holy Night. Yes, exquisite. Offering what I have to help those who have asked. With Love.

Last night Em asked me about JW beliefs. That was a weird stroll down memory lane. They are learning about the five major religions. That's amusing. JW is not one of the five by anyone's estimation. The teacher can present information, but likes to foster discussion. Since Em said I was raised in that belief system, she gets to go report now. Anyway, the discussion she and I had was tons of fun. I am not an expert on any one of the five, but know enough about each to give her an overall picture. I must have plugged in to something while I was searching for different aspects of each, because afterward I felt so much energy pulsing through me that sleep was impossible. She is so much fun sometimes. Open to learning, and enjoys it. Of course, there are other times where she would rather just be able to "do" things, "know" things without the work leading to that point. She is young, after all.

Down today. It happens. My planets foretold this. That knowledge makes absolutely no difference in getting through the days though. Playing with selenite today. After holding it for only a few minutes, I tingle with energy. Such a subtle but huge experience.

Lots I could be doing. None of which I am. Wonder where today will lead. Guess I will pack light, just in case it gets rocky and steep.

    Much Love,

I watched the video, Flash. I heard your frustration about starting a thread. It strikes me how the two are related. I support your choice to start a thread or not, really I have no dog in the race, as the saying goes. But are you not also an incredible shrinking woman if you choose to remain silent when something begs for you to speak? Sure, this poetry is about food. But more. You obviously see that, know that.

I went through a phase, years ago. (Nothing to do with you, just remembering.) There was a man who came to my house and wanted to sell Mike and me a freezer. He began his sales pitch by pointing out that the freezer was low to the ground so "the little woman" could easily reach it. Poor man, that was not wise. Mike knew immediately what set me off, and he backed up a few feet as those words rolled of the tongue of this unsuspecting salesman. I'm not sure the salesman knew what hit them, but up his arse my boot went as he all but flew out the door from the force of my retort. I was appalled, offended, and flat pissed off at the insinuation that it was a woman's place to be in the kitchen. And for about 10 years, give or take, I made it my business to educate every man, woman, and child that women have choices. Just because I gave up my career, every time I had one, to raise my children...that did not mean I was there because that was where I belonged as a woman. I chose that. But it was not the only choice. During that phase, I shined light into every nook and cranny I could find, I fought for the recognition that women and men are equal.

Geez, why did I start all this...

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I support whatever choice you make, and I understand why you would not want to open that can of worms. In this world of duality, how can there be anything but two? Opposing energies, mostly. Opposing intents. And it is sad, to me, that there is no place where they do not exist. Even here.

And thanks for sharing something you feel strongly about. It's what shakes the foundations sometimes, what puts a chip in the mountain. And sharing is also what brings people together, as without people voicing their opinions it would also be impossible to find common ground.

    Much Love,

I have found a video that is soooo just and soooo correct about women, girls and young girls, versus their males counterparts, boys and men.

But i do have a major problem, on Avalon. Everytime we, women, put up a thread about women, and there is soooooo much to say, under so many angles, everytime we put up a thread we are being trolled out of our thread.
I haven't been here long enough to speak to threads. The ones I've been a part of seem to go round and round. Loved the video. Sigh, there's a me she speaks of.

My opinion is male and females do the things they enjoy therefore they are good at them. We compromise with all the yucky stuff or do them together.

    That is....in my perfect world.

I’ve been in partnerships where the guy wouldn’t pick up the paint brush, strip the cupboards or cut the grass because I’d do it. I get now that I was part of the ‘problem’. They learned to wait it out. In theory, I could wait it out too. But then it gets more convoluted with resentment.

    Games are energy drainers.

One time I wanted now ex-hubby to help me switch his art studio with my computer room. “No, no, no”, was his response only because he didn’t want to and not because he loved the room that he spent no time in.

“No, no, no”. Three’s the magic number. There are times when I cannot explain how seconds before there’s no notice, then action, and then awareness of a job almost done. It’s makes me giggle. I’d swear I float.

So my goal was while ex-hubby was on the phone, I’d switch out the biggest stuff. I dragged it outside the front door, and around the back to up to the second level. It wasn’t heavy, just too awkward to carry up the stairs alone.

In my professional career, I was part of a contract negotiation team. It peeved me when the dialogue was between men. Even when the women contributed viable solutions, and the males took the credit. Maybe it’s changed since the early 1980’s. I hope so for the women.

I believe it has in some areas. I’m teary eyed when I see as many young men and women pushing the baby carriage, changing diapers, holding their kids, and playing with them.

It ought not be about male and female. We all have strong areas. In my perfect world, you see an area that needs going, do it. Lets come together and just do it.

Thank you Paula and 1inMany for you comments on my post.

I have seen, on the whole forum, only two guys doing this kind of trolling on women's tread. And one who is not really conscious of his doing. The rest of the males here are just plainly great. I never felt much machism otherwise on this forum. Nor women not liking men. We are pretty much good hearted and intelligent.

However, I have also seen males going away or retiring when those two men start trolling.

What I would have liked, is for the men and women to pair together and just remain strong in whom we are, for those too to accept conscously or unconsciously to process change within themselves. True transformation. I do not even think they are bad guys, I only think they are caught with some inner demons in very specific spots (no pun intended).

We are strong people here. There is not reason trolling, even subtle one, on women/children threads should happen, and this, without using any kind of "punishment".

Here I am in my thinking.

    Thanks for listening.

Not sure which two members you refer to ... but me myself, is very much guilty of "going away" in threads that become contentious.

Matters not the content (gender or otherwise).

Some people get put off by astrological explanations.

ulli and carmody are a few of the exceptions.

What happened had nothing to do with astrology. I had seen the need to somehow remind male forum members not to mistreat one another...after seeing how many of them had become hostile towards Jiminii. I had hoped that they could behave a bit more like our female members, who usually ignore statements which they don't agree with, and instead focus on what common ground they find.
I never mentioned Jiminii's name, nor anyone else's, for that matter, and so left the field wide open for all sorts of speculations. So in the end it became a discussion about whether it is men or women who are more aggressive. Several attempts to direct the attention back to my opening posts, as a reminder of the purpose of the thread, were completely ignore. A lot of huffing and emoting by one individual in particular caused me to just let that thread die.

All in all, it turned out to be a pointless and frustrating exercise. The whole thing has made me more reluctant about starting any new threads in the open forum.

These people like to set up the unaware and they go on scouting trips to see if they can recruit people. They are all over the county right now. It's just such a waste to me and waste of time. The 24th-25th December is a major holiday for the satanists.

Thanks for your support and the villagers. I want them to know I have friends in High places and not to mess with me.

I'm now going to go split some wood by hand before it gets too cold outside..... I hope that ruffles the feathers of a few macho misogynists

    Love

    Nora

‘Tis the season to celebrate evergreens. Now that the deciduous trees have lost their leaves, the evergreen trees hold the day. Pines and hemlocks, firs and spruces, cedars, junipers, and balsam beckon us with their aromatic green needles. They seem to promise immortality.

Could it be more than a promise? More than a vain hope? Could the evergreens keep us ever green, that is, always young? All edible evergreens are loaded with vitamin C, a nutrient in short supply during the dark months. Before global transport of food, those who ate evergreens in the winter were at a real advantage: They certainly were healthier and they probably did live longer...

Portals to the Self: A Women's Circle by the Sea; March 15 - 22, 2014
We invite women to gather for retreat and replenishment on Isla Mujeres, an island in the tranquil turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. This island is sacred to Ixchel, the Mayan Moon Goddess and historically a place for healing rituals among the Mayan people.

We will create a circle of abundance, compassion and support as we weave together our stories and wisdom. By honoring Ixchel’s tradition, we become midwives of our dreams and visions. Storytelling, yoga, journaling, poetry, guided imagery, and more…will serve as forms to access the blessings and beauty that flow in each of us.

Participants will stay at Na Balam, an intimate, boutique hotel on the beach where landscaped trails, tropical gardens and the beauty of the ocean will provide a perfect abode for the retreat. Yoga and ceremony at ancient Mayan temple.

aaaaaahhhhh the aeon of horus is upon us...

we did the feminine thing, we did the masculine thing... mayb we should enter in as children again...
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeon_of_Horus
Quote The modern Aeon of Horus is portrayed as a time of self-realization as well as a growing interest in all things spiritual, and is considered to be dominated by the principle of the child. The Word of its Law is Thelema (will), which is complemented by Agape (love), and its formula is Abrahadabra. Individuality and finding the individual's True Will are the dominant aspects; its formula is that of growth, in consciousness and love, toward self-realization. Concerning the Aeon of Horus, Crowley wrote:
". . .the crowned and conquering child, who dieth not, nor is reborn, but goeth radiant ever upon His Way. Even so goeth the Sun: for as it is now known that night is but the shadow of the Earth, so Death is but the shadow of the Body, that veileth his Light from its bearer." (Heart of the Master)[citation needed]
And also, in his Little Essays Toward Truth:
"The Aeon of Horus is here: and its first flower may well be this: that, freed of the obsession of the doom of the Ego in Death, and of the limitation of the Mind by Reason, the best men again set out with eager eyes upon the Path of the Wise, the mountain track of the goat, and then the untrodden Ridge, that leads to the ice-gleaming pinnacles of Mastery!
May Man and Woman hold hands in unity of mind body and spirit... birth forth the child within, so the youth can live again... Great light SHALL BE for you and me.... Love
    Peace

Ah, thunder, I must contest. The Whole of the Law is Will under Love, not Love under Will, which is perversion of the Design of the Infinite.

The solar plexus is the seat of the will, and the heart is the seat of love, nature tells us which goes over which, which is easy to see unless one's head is up one's own ass, then it might be confusing.
