The new Constitution of Ukraine must be adopted in a referendum, but the decision rested with the future legitimate authorities, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

"A new Constitution must be adopted, and this must be done through a referendum so that all citizens of Ukraine could feel involved in that process, the process of shaping the main principles of their state system," he said. "It is no business of ours, but the business of the Ukrainian citizens and its authorities, who are the ones to decide," Putin added.

"I think that after the government is formed, the president and the new parliament are elected, if I were in their place, I would return to the Constitution, adopting it in a referendum," he said.

"If somebody feels left out in the cold in this process, he will never accept this and will always fight against it," Putin noted, reiterating that it was no business of Russia.

Appearances can be deceiving, but it DOES appear to me that Putin is being reactive, not proactive, he is being defending, not offending.....trying to protect to a degree, not acting as the aggressor. the west continues to back him in to these corners and he his FORCED to respond. Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to be walking with a prideful swagger in his step lately.

In spite of growing conflicts between Israel-driven-America and Russia over Syria, Iran and now the Ukraine, he appears unusually confident.

Other world leaders involved appear to be increasingly stressed out by these growing conflicts, but not President Putin.

What could be going on in the background which might explain this blatant confidence and swagger of president Putin?

Indeed, people just need to see the countless photographs and film footage taken at the closing of WW2 of these camps, plus those that helped liberate same, their first hand experiences of the mass graves not even covered in the haste of retreat by the Nazi's. I've that this slightly drastic little chat on visit to mum yesterday , talking of the escalation of international situation and what is let through or not in media,

Project Paperclip and so forth. Cared to mention to her that half of the youngsters who don't live in Europe and experienced little or no links to the previous war dismiss the holocaust as 'utter nonsense' and Zionist propaganda.
It turned mum to monotonous lecturing mode for half and hour until I waved hands and begged her, please stop, I know this all.

She mentioned the topic itself too was 'tabu' in their household because her father was somehow involved , to grandmas disapproval . So the first book mum herself mentioned to read about Buchenwald ( one of the concentration camps ) was allegedly in her 23rd year of life.
I told her I read them on my own at grannies, good few of them, direct narratives from survivors .. when I was 10 to 12, at grannies , I used to read a lot all the time .
And of course, there were original B&W movies on TV as well .. Mum paled and did not know what to say, I just said, don't worry , I had good nerves at that time, did not need your advice on this .
But older I'm I can not see it really anymore , it shocks me .
