Somehow, I knew these things. Not in so many words. But when reading this article, it was like being reminded. Not as new information. Concept not the words. Thank you. Chocolate.

as I make my living as a professional musician (opera singer) I think I'm more qualified than most to comment on this topic:

look, we cannot deny the power of music either for benevolent or malevolent purposes- music can be very mesmerizing (usually is) for 'either/or'; but what I see in the world of music nowadays (forget "classical" music- ever since Schönberg/Webern/Berg "classical" music continues to hit the skids and is nothing anymore than stomach-churning noise- look at present-day composers: noise-makers- full stop)-

ever since instrumental tuning went from A434 to A440 (attributed to N**is but am not yet sure of that), let alone Bach's "Well-tampered-with Clavichord" erasing the last semblance of quarter tones in our music (Semitic cultures still retain them- yet another reason to hate them because we don't understand their "tunes") it's been down hill ever since; which pop-singer nowadays has a real voice?- none of them- it's all ampflicated noise-

"amplification is the death of good singing"- famous opera singer Marilyn Horne-

I could sing a whole Wagner "Ring Cycle" on the history and subsequent debauchery of present-day music but will desist for now-

Yeah, he touched on that in the discussion. I can literally feel the difference of the 432 tuning/
