    Default Nature Lovers

Where are your favorite spots? How do you feel your relationship with nature has helped you grow, if at all? Feel free to post any of your favorite images or stories.

I'm in the Rockies and try to hike and meditate as often as possible. It amazing the things that you find.. or better yet that find you!

    From yesterday:

    stumbled on someone's spot

    I wrote them a note-

So your in the Rockies, ever have any Sasquatch experiences?

As a geology student I was fortunate to go around the country and see many natural wonders. To me the most awe inspiring sight was to see the Grand Canyon, at sunset no less. It will forever be etched in my mind in vivid color.

Seeing the majestic redwood forest in Pfeifer Big Sur State Park in California was pretty awesome too.

I would love to go to Yosemite to see Half Dome and the giant sequoias, but after hearing about Missing 411 from David Paulides I think I will just have to look at pictures of it instead. Yosemite has the highest "gone missing" rate over any other national park. https://projectavalon.net/forum4/show...l=1#post520391

I would say my favourite spot is near my home in Vancouver - I live very close to a park that is right on the harbour. I'm living in Pittsburgh at the moment and there are many nice parks here. I always feel peaceful after spending time in nature. I also love to take a good book with me and read while I'm there
I've also been looking into earthing recently, such as walking in bare feet. When I'm home for the summer I plan to wake up at sunrise and go for a barefoot walk in the park every morning - something I've never done before but I feel it would be calming and energizing and really be a great start to my day. I've also read that walking barefoot is stimulation for the pineal and other glands, so I'm looking forward so seeing if I feel any changes in myself.

would be interested to hear how it goes - throw in some sun-gazing while you're at it!

Right now, in the hills surrounding Silicon Valley, this is going on. The fragrance while you are there is like no other... miles and miles of fragrance and wild bees. Meanwhile the horned larks park themselves on the highest rock they can find and sing continuously. I hope you enjoy this lovely photo which can only capture the merest part of all of this glory:

And here is a short video of the horned larks which sing there:

Hope those of you with clear skies in the Western Hemisphere were able to stay up for last night's lunar eclipse. Every time I opened my eyes more and more stars had come out to smile. Beautifully clear night here in the Rockies
