Gagged in the Irish Parliament: TD booted out of the Dail for trying to discuss the baby grave scandal

Sunday 8th June 2014 at 05:48 By David Icke

‘A furious TD has accused the Government of stifling debate on the mass baby grave scandal.

Fianna Fail’s Colm Keaveney was BOOTED out of the chamber after criticising the
Dail’s decision not to allow him to discuss the issue.Discussion of the scandal,
picked up by global news outlets, was rejected in the chamber in favour
of topics including the ongoing crisis in Libya and school weather warnings.
Mr Keaveney told the Irish Mirror: “In the process of trying to raise an issue that
everyone in this country is talking about, apart from the Dail, I was removed from
    the Dail.’

“Politics is a human endeavour. I’ve tried all day since I woke this morning, as I did
yesterday morning, to secure the attention of Government on this issue.

“I intend to wake up tomorrow morning with the same sense of purpose for those
800 bodies that lie in a septic tank.”

Mass grave of 800 babies found at Galway children's home is a stain on the nation

Mr Keaveney also said that the rationale and objectivity in preventing him from
speaking were not shared with him.

He added: “There were a number of issues picked before mine.

“There are four issues a day picked - one was Libya, one was storm alerts for
schools, the other was school numbers in Delgany, Co Wicklow, the other one was
    child pornography.

“And yet we were not allowed to speak about what the whole country is speaking
    about today.”

Site where bodies of 800 children from Bons Secours home were found in
unmarked grave in Tuam Co Galway. The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs,
Charlie Flanagan confirmed an inquiry would take place.Mass grave for 800 babies
found in Galway needs to be urgently investigated, minister demands He said the
government were giving active consideration to the best means of addressing the
issue. He said: “Many of the revelations are deeply disturbing and a shocking
reminder of a darker past in Ireland when our children were not cherished as they
    should have been.

“I am particularly mindful of the relatives of those involved and of local
communities. There are a number of Government Departments involved in this
    process.

“The cross-departmental initiative underway will examine these matters and report
to Government on how they might be addressed.

“Relevant Government departments have been tasked with working together in
preparation for the Government’s early consideration and determination of the best
    course of action.”

Minister of State at Dept of Education Ciaran Cannon has also called for an inquiry,
including a garda investigation, into the deaths. The bodies of almost 800 babies
and toddlers are believed to have been interred in a concrete tank, discovered next
to a former home for unmarried mothers. The dead are thought to have been buried
beside the home in Tuam, Co Galway, over a period of 36 years."The
teachers, doctors, priests, they all looked down on us. We were only a number to
    them."

It is believed that 796 children were interred on unconsecrated ground as a
consequence of being unbaptised, between 1925 and 1961.

New reports show the infants, found next to the home run by Bon Secours nuns,
suffered malnutrition and neglect, while others died of measles, convulsions, TB,
    gastroenteritis and pneumonia.

Archbishop quizzed in sexual abuse lawsuit claims he didn’t know it was illegal for
priests to have sex with children in the 1980s

Wednesday 11th June 2014 at 10:01 By David Icke

‘A St Louis archbishop embroiled in a sexual abuse scandal has claimed he didn’t
know it was illegal for priests to have sex with children in the 1980s, according to a
    court deposition released on Monday.

Archbishop Robert Carlson, who was chancellor of the Archdiocese of Minneapolis
and St. Paul at the time, was deposed as part of a sexual abuse lawsuit in
Minnesota involving the archdiocese and the Diocese of Winona.

In a testimony filmed last month and released by the St. Paul law firm Jeff
Anderson & Associates, the Catholic archbishop was asked whether he had known it
was a crime for an adult to engage in sex with a child.’

testimony under oath as part of a civil lawsuit involving a man, Doe 1, sexually
abused as a child by former priest Thomas Adamson at St. Thomas Aquinas parish
in St. Paul Park, Minnesota. Archbishop Carlson worked in the Archdiocese of St.
Paul and Minneapolis handling child sexual abuse cases from 1979-1994 as the
    Chancellor and Auxiliary Bishop.

Then-Bishop Carlson met with Thomas Adamson in 1980 about another incident of
alleged child sexual abuse and Adamson admitted to sexually abusing the boy yet
no report was made to law enforcement.

Archbishop Carlson was questioned extensively on his knowledge and involvement
in child sexual abuse cases in Minnesota and gave the response of "I don't

Bethany Home, where 222 children died, to be included in mother and baby home investigation

‘The children’s minister has said he is anxious that the Bethany Home in Rathgar is
included as part of the Commission of Investigation into mother and baby homes in
    Ireland.

Charlie Flanagan said today that he was conscious of the grievances felt by those
connected to the Bethany Home, a protestant-run home on Dublin’s Orwell Road,
where young unmarried mothers lived with their young children.

Many of the children were subsequently adopted, and survivors say they suffered
neglect as children. Over 200 children died while in the care of Bethany Home.’

CPS is told to reveal secret files on why it let off Cyril Smith after lengthy legal battle

Tuesday 10th June 2014 at 09:37 By David Icke

‘Secret documents revealing why Liberal MP Sir Cyril Smith escaped prosecution for
child abuse will now be published after a lengthy legal battle.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has been ordered to release papers relating
to its decision not to bring charges against the obese paedophile politician while he
    was still alive.

Police submitted files about Smith’s abuse of boys in his hometown of Rochdale in
1970, 1998 and 1999, but each time prosecutors recommended that no action
    should be taken against him.

But the Information Rights Tribunal has ruled the CPS must make public documents
explaining why its lawyers decided he should not be brought to court.’

Ex-BBC DJ Jimmy Savile sexually assaulted victims aged five to 75 in NHS hospitals
over decades of unrestricted access, investigators say.

He assaulted patients in bed, and claimed to have abused corpses, reviews into his
    conduct on NHS premises found.

The reports cover 28 hospitals including Leeds General Infirmary and Broadmoor
    psychiatric hospital.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt apologised to victims, saying Savile's actions "will
shake our country to the core".

He said of the victims: "We let them down badly,".

Addressing MPs, the health secretary said there was a "deep sense of revulsion"
    over the findings.

He told the Commons one victim feared she was pregnant after being abused at the
Leeds hospital and that there were reports Savile made jewellery out of glass eyes
    taken from dead bodies.

"As a nation, at that time we held Savile in our affection as a somewhat eccentric
national treasure with a strong commitment to charitable causes.

"Today's report shows that in reality he was a sickening and prolific sexual abuser
who repeatedly exploited the trust of a nation for his own vile purposes."

Mr Hunt is writing to all NHS trusts asking them to ensure they are confident about
    patient safety.

Savile, a Radio 1 DJ who also presented the BBC's Top Of The Pops and Jim'll Fix It,
died aged 84 in October 2011 - a year before allegations that he had sexually
abused children were broadcast in an ITV documentary.

The reports on Leeds General Infirmary and Broadmoor are the most detailed. They
explain how he was allowed unsupervised access to vulnerable patients, with a
failure to question the risks of his unconventional and promiscuous lifestyle.

    The Leeds investigation found:

Sixty people came forward to say they had been abused between the ages of five
    and 75, including staff

The offences ranged from lewd remarks to sexual assault and three cases of rape
and took place between 1962 and 2009

Only nine victims told members of staff. There were a further eight female victims
who met Savile at the hospital, but were not patients

Savile had a well-known fixation with the dead and the report contains allegations
he posed for photographs and performed sex acts on corpses in the hospital mortuary

While there is no way to verify the claim, Dr Sue Proctor - who led the Leeds
inquiry - said there is no doubt controls on access to the mortuary were "lax"

A number of organisational failures over the years enabled Savile to continue
    unchallenged

These included weak systems to protect patients, poor complaints systems and
    leadership that lacked curiosity

There is no evidence reports of abuse were communicated to senior managers

There is evidence the head porter, Charles Hullighan, played a central role in the
introduction of a staff volunteer at the radio station to Savile - who the DJ then raped.

The situation allowed someone "as manipulative as Savile to thrive and continue his
abusive behaviour unchecked for years", it said.

Jimmy Savile in November 1973 Revelations about Savile only came to light after
    his death in 2011

The report was clear, however, that no one person is to blame for what happened
at the hospital other than Savile. But it did describe a lack of curiosity about his activities.

One 16-year-old victim told BBC Radio 4's Today programme she was abused by
Savile in a basement at the Leeds hospital.

When she started to tell nurses, they laughed so she did not tell them everything.

"It's only after it's all happened, I think you just feel dirty, you feel ridiculously
    stupid," she said.

"Because I didn't think I was that naive. And you try to analyse it and think: 'Could
I have done anything differently to stop it?'.

"And to this day, all these years later, I really don't think I could have done."

Leeds General Infirmary The report on abuse at Leeds General Infirmary is one of
the most detailed of the 28

Lesley McLean, Victim Support manager for West Yorkshire, said: "Savile preyed on
    vulnerable people for 50 years.

"The parents of the children he abused in Leeds hospitals were already anxious
    about their child's health.

"What they thought was a treat for their loved one was actually their worst
    nightmare."

    'Deeply sorry'

In 1988, Savile was appointed by the Department of Health as the head of a
    taskforce overseeing Broadmoor.

The report describes an inappropriate culture at Broadmoor that allowed sexual
liaisons between staff and patients and discouraged reporting of concerns.

    The Broadmoor report found:

Savile watched and made inappropriate comments when female patients stripped
and showered naked in front of staff, a practice which was common in the late
    1980s

The late DJ was "narcissistic, arrogant and lacking in any empathy"

He was also very manipulative and staff were convinced he had close connections in
    high places

There was "no evidence that those responsible knew anything of the very much darker side" to Savile that was later revealed

Eleven allegations of sexual abuse were reported to the review. Six of them
involved patients, two staff and three children.

The report said the numbers were very likely to be an underestimate of the true
picture because so many former patients simply wished to forget their time at
    Broadmoor.

In total, the Department of Health investigated the links that 5 hospitals or homes
    had with Savile.

Reports have been issued on: St Catherine's Hospital (Birkenhead); Saxondale
Mental Health Hospital; Portsmouth Royal Hospital; Dewsbury and District Hospital
(including Pinderfields Hospital); High Royds Psychiatric Hospital; Cardiff Royal
    Infirmary; Great Ormond Street Hospital; Exeter Hospital; Ashworth Hospital;
    Barnet General Hospital; Booth Hall; De La Pole Hospital; Dryburn Hospital;
Hammersmith Hospital; Leavesden Secure Mental Health Hospital; Marsden
    Hospital; Maudsley Hospital; Odstock Hospital; Prestwich Psychiatric Hospital;
Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead; Royal Victoria Infirmary; Queen Mary's
Hospital, Carshalton; Whitby Memorial Hospital; Wythenshawe Hospital, and
Woodhouse Eaves Children's Convalescent Homes in Leicester.

A report about Wheatfield's Hospice, which is run by the Sue Ryder charity, has
    also been released.

    Hospital bedroom

A key report into Savile's activities at Stoke Mandeville Hospital has been delayed
after new information recently came to light.

Savile had a bedroom at Stoke Mandeville, where his now-defunct charitable trust
was based, as well as an office and living quarters at Broadmoor.

Reports concerning two other hospitals - Rampton and Barnet, Enfield and Haringey
Mental Health Trust - have also been delayed.

There are also new investigations at Springfield Hospital and Crawley Hospital.

It is understood investigations at two hospitals - the Royal Free Hospital in London
and Pennine Acute NHS hospitals Trust - found nothing to report.

The revelations made in a 2012 ITV documentary about Savile prompted more than
a hundred people to come forward, giving accounts of how they were sexually
assaulted by Savile on NHS premises and in other places.

A report by the NSPCC said Savile abused at least 500 victims, including some as
    young as two.

Jimmy Savile: The extent of his abuse in NHS hospitals to be revealed

‘Findings of a series of major investigations by NHS hospitals into allegations of abuse
by disgraced presenter Jimmy Savile will be published on Thursday.

The inquiries were prompted after a review by the Metropolitan Police revealed a number
of shocking claims relating to Jimmy Savile sexually abusing victims in a number of
hospital settings, including within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust area and
    the high-security psychiatric Broadmoor Hospital.

Kate Lampard, who was appointed by the Department of Health to oversee the
investigations, chief investigators and chief executives of NHS trusts will present
the findings at a press conference in London this morning.’

not sure if this has already been posted here. But here you go.

Sex Pistols star Johnny Rotten warning about Jimmy Savile was cut by BBC.

    http://21stcenturywire.com/2013/07/0...as-cut-by-bbc/

According to a rare audio clip just released (see video below), John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten, then of Sex Pistols and PIL fame, conducted an interview circa late 1978, where he joked about people he’d like to kill’ and interestingly he quipped, “I’d like to kill Jimmy Savile”.

He went on to comment about the late DJ and serial sex criminal’s ‘seediness’, and also that he (Savile) ‘was into all sorts’.
The admission took place during what appears to be an actual BBC radio interview, but Lydon’s damning inferences about the BBC’s golden child Jimmy Savile seem to have been removed from the interview at the time, so the excerpt was not broadcast, but has just been made available as part of the reissue of the first PIL album.

Long before Lydon’s comments were made, the BBC were officially warned in 1972 that they were in fact putting young girls at risk with their Top of the Pops Show, which was detailed in the Telegraph recently:

1-Jimmy-Savile-victim“The emergence of the 64-page report – which was circulated to the then director general and chairman – will further fuel allegations that the BBC failed to protect teenage girls from Jimmy Savile, the corporation’s then most feted star who was unmasked last year as Britain’s most prolific sex offender.”
It seems that everyone knew about at least some of the sordid practices of the late Sir Jimmy Savile OBE, but few dared speak it in public. Of course, this cover-up within the entertainment and media industry was led by the BBC itself, as it would be incredibly naive to think that no one working in the BBC knew of Savile’s propensity for sexual deviances (rape, pedophilia and other disturbing pastimes too dark to mention here). By all accounts, it was an open secret within “The Industry”.

Listen to the excerpt of Lydon – then known as Johnny Rotten, as he issues a subtle warning about the true nature of the BBC’s monster-in-residence…

When you express from a fearful heart in the now moment, You create a fearful future.
When you express from a loving heart in the now moment, You create a loving future.

Have no fear, Be aware and live your lives journey from a compassionate caring nurturing heart to manifest a compassionate caring nurturing future. Billyji

    Peace

Spooks funded paedophiles to blackmail political figures

new Sunday 29th June 2014 at 06:11 By David Icke

‘The former civil servant has told detectives investigating the activities of
paedophiles in national politics that the Metropolitan Police’s Special Branch was
orchestrating the child-sex lobbying group in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

The whistleblower, who has spoken exclusively to the Sunday Express, says he was
also warned off asking why such a notorious group was being handed government money.

It emerged late last year that PIE was twice gave amounts of £35,000 in Home
Office funding between 1977 and 1980, the £70,000 total equivalent to over
    £400,000 in today’s money.’

Those details surfaced only after the whistleblower highlighted his concerns to
campaigning Labour MP Tom Watson and his revelations have triggered an ongoing
Home Office inquiry into why the cash was given to PIE which was abolished in
1985 after a number of prosecutions.

Until now, speculation about the grant has centred on Clifford Hindley, the late
Home Office manager who approved the payments. However, the whistleblower
told the Sunday Express he thought higher and more sinister powers were at play.

He has given a formal statement to that effect to detectives from Operation
Fernbridge, which is looking into allegations of historic sex abuse at the Elm Guest
    House in south-west London.

PIE, now considered one of the most notorious groups of the era, had gained
respectability in political circles. Its members are said to have included
establishment figures, and disgraced Liberal MP Cyril Smith was a friend of founder
    member Peter Righton.

In 1981, Tory MP Geoffrey Dickens used Parliamentary privilege to name Sir Peter
Hayman, the deputy director of MI6, as a member of PIE and an active paedophile.
In 1983 Mr Dickens gave the Home Office a dossier of what he claimed was
evidence of a paedophile network of “big, big names, people in positions of power,
influence and responsibility”. The Home Office says the dossier no longer exists.

Whistleblower Mr X, whose identity we have agreed to protect, became a very
senior figure in local government before retiring a few years ago. In the late 1970s
and early 1980s, he was a full-time consultant in the Home Office’s Voluntary
Services Unit run by Clifford Hindley.

In 1979 Mr X was asked to examine a funding renewal application for PIE, but he
became concerned because the organisation’s goal of seeking to abolish the age of
consent “conflicted” with the child protection policies of the Department of Health
and Social Security and asked for a meeting with Mr Hindley, his immediate boss.

Mr X recalled: “I raised my concerns, but he told me that I was to drop them.
Hindley gave three reasons for this. He said PIE was an organisation with cachet
and that its work in this field was respected.

“He said this was a renewal of an existing grant and that under normal Home Office
practice a consultant such as myself would not be involved in the decision-making process.

“And he said PIE was being funded at the request of Special Branch which found it
politically useful to identify people who were paedophiles. This led me not to pursue
my objections. At that time, questioning anything to do with Special Branch,
especially within the Home Office, was a ‘no-no’.

“I was under the clear belief that I was being instructed to back off and that his
reference to Special Branch was expected to make me to do so.

“Hindley didn’t give me an explicit explanation of what Special Branch would do
with information it gleaned from funding PIE, but I formed the belief that it was
part of an undercover operation or activity. I was aware a lot of people in the civil
service or political arena had an interest in obtaining information like that which
could be used as a sort of blackmail.”

He said he asked for a file the Home Office kept on PIE, but his request was
refused. However, he was certain then Tory Home Office Minister Tim Raison, who
died in 2011, must have signed the 1980 funding application.

Mr X has given a formal written statement to the inquiry set up last year into
former Home Office links with PIE but has refused to meet the inquiry in person
because he fears “repercussions” under the Official Secrets Act.

Yesterday Tom Watson said: “The whole sorry business makes it absolutely
imperative the Home Secretary bows to the will of the 114 MPs demanding a full,
fearless public investigation into child sexual abuse.”

Special Branch was an integral part of the intelligence service gathering intelligence
on spies and political threats to the state. In 2005 it merged with the anti-terrorism
branch to form a Counter Terrorism Command.

Catholic archbishop defrocked by Vatican for sexually abusing teenage boys

new Sunday 29th June 2014 at 07:49 By David Icke

    THE TELEGRAPH...

‘A Catholic archbishop and former Holy See ambassador has been defrocked after
being convicted of sexually abusing teenage boys, making him the most senior
Vatican figure to be punished for such a crime.

Archbishop Jozef Wesolowski, who was the Vatican’s nuncio or ambassador to the
Dominican Republic in the Caribbean, was found guilty of sex abuse by the
Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith – the modern-day successor to
    the Inquisition.’

The tribunal handed down the harshest penalty possible against a cleric under
canon law, stripping him of his duties and status as a priest.

In a brief statement, the Vatican gave no information about what crimes
Wesolowski had been convicted of, where and when the offences took place or how
    many boys were involved.

The punishment was immediately questioned by groups representing past victims
of clerical paedophilia, who said the archbishop should face a criminal trial by civil
authorities rather than a behind-closed-doors Vatican judicial process.

The Vatican recalled Wesolowski from his post as nuncio to the Dominican Republic
last year after the archbishop of Santo Domingo, the capital of the Caribbean
country, told Pope Francis that there were rumours that the Pole had sexually
    abused teenage boys.

Wesolowski, who is a citizen of the Vatican City State, could now face criminal
charges by the Vatican tribunal which could lead to a jail sentence.

The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, the world’s biggest group
representing clerical sex abuse victims, said: “It’s encouraging when child-
molesting clerics are disciplined, but we are troubled by the Vatican’s continued
insistence on handling child sex crimes internally.

“Archbishop Jozef Wesolowski should face a criminal trial, not a church proceeding.
And he should be in a secular jail. And he might have been in one for months, had
Vatican officials cooperated with law enforcement.” The campaign group said
Wesolowski should be extradited to the Dominican Republic or Poland, both of
which are investigating the accusations against him, but said it suspected he would be protected by the Vatican.

“If this Vatican move leads to Wesolowski being locked up, we’ll be encouraged.
However, we fear that it won’t.” The former archbishop is the highest-ranking
Vatican official to be found guilty of sex abuse.

In a 75-page document released by the Vatican on Thursday, which will prepare the
way for a conference in October on issues such as contraception and divorce, the
Catholic Church hierarchy admitted that it had been gravely damaged by the
    scandal of paedophile priests.

“Sex scandals significantly weaken the Church’s moral credibility, above all in North
America and northern Europe,” said the document, the result of a survey sent by
    the Vatican to Catholics worldwide.

Last month Vatican officials told a United Nations committee in Geneva that they
were determined to bring to justice clergy accused of sexually abusing children.

“There is a total commitment to clean the house, to change, and above all to work
and effect measures that prevent the repetition of abuse. We have crossed a
threshold in the evolution of the approach to this problem,” said Monsignor Silvano
Tomasi, the Vatican’s envoy to the UN.

He made the remarks during a grilling by the UN Committee against Torture, which
was scrutinising the Church’s record on dealing with abuse cases.

The defrocking of the Polish archbishop comes as the Pope prepares to meet
victims of clerical sex abuse, including Britons, for the first time.

The encounter is expected to take place at his private residence in the Vatican next week.

Rolf Harris ‘visited Broadmoor hospital with Jimmy Savile’

Tuesday 1st July 2014 at 06:03 By David Icke

‘Rolf Harris was once shown around Broadmoor hospital by Jimmy Savile
as female patients were undressing for bed, it was alleged.

Alison Pink – who said Savile abused her at Broadmoor– recalled the pair
suddenly turned up on a women’s ward just as patients were preparing
to get undressed in the corridor, the Mirror reported. The pair had been
attending a fete at the hospital before they ventured onto the wards.

It was also claimed that another victim of Harris wrote to Buckingham
Palace in 1995 warning that he had abused her.’

Leon Brittan urged to comment on 1980s 'paedophile dossier'Former home

A Labour MP has called for a former home secretary to make public what he knew
about allegations of paedophiles operating in Westminster in the 1980s.

Simon Danczuk said that a dossier of allegations about paedophiles was presented
to Leon Brittan when he was home secretary between 1983 and 1985.

"It would be welcome if he stepped forward and shared his knowledge of the
    allegations", he told MPs.

The MP helped expose the late Liberal MP Cyril Smith as a child sex abuser.

Speaking at a meeting of the Commons Home Affairs Select committee, Mr
Danczuk called for a national overarching "Hillsborough-style" inquiry into historical
    allegations of child sex abuse.

    'Last refuge'

He said that politics was "the last refuge of child sex abuse deniers" and there was
a view among many politicians that alleged offenders should not be named.

An inquiry would help identify other perpetrators, he said.

Earlier in the hearing he said that Cyril Smith escaped prosecution because he
was "part of a network of people protecting each other".

His victims, Mr Danczuk said, were "poor, white, working class boys" in the same
way that forty years later the victims of grooming in Rochdale were "poor, white,
    working class girls."

He referred to a police investigation into a former guest house in South London
where children were allegedly abused in the 1980s.

The police have confirmed that Cyril Smith had been a visitor to Elm Guest House.

Mr Danczuk said he had spoken to a victim Smith had abused there and that "other
high profile figures are alleged to have attended there."

He said a dossier of allegations, compiled at the time by the former Conservative
MP Geoffrey Dickens, had been presented to Mr Brittan.

In a separate development, the Crown Prosecution Service announced that it would
release details of the advice it gave to police in the late 1990s which enabled Cyril
Smith to escape prosecution. It would first take steps to protect the identities of the victims, a statement added.

Rolf Harris guilty: More alleged victims come forward

    short vid on link...http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-28102238

The Crown Prosecution Service says it will work with the police to see if there is
enough evidence to bring further charges against Rolf Harris.

Police have received new complaints against the TV entertainer, who was convicted
of 12 indecent assaults on four girls in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

One of those Harris, 84, abused was an autograph hunter aged seven or eight,
another a friend of his daughter.

Up to 12 people contacted a law firm after the verdict about civil claims.

The firm, Slater & Gordon, which is also representing people who have made sexual
abuse complaints against the late DJ Jimmy Savile, said it was carefully considering
    their cases.

It is believed some of the people who contacted the firm were also in touch with
police or the NSPCC charity during Harris's seven-week trial at Southwark Crown
    Court in London.

There have also been complaints to police from people in Harris's native Australia.

He painted a portrait of the Queen in 2005 and took part in her Diamond Jubilee concert seven years later

There are calls to strip Harris of awards he has received in Australia and the UK

Harris was a mainstay of family entertainment in Britain and his native Australia for
more than 50 years, appearing on the BBC and other TV networks.

He is to be stripped of his British Academy of Film and Television Arts fellowship -
the TV industry's highest accolade - which was awarded two years ago, a Bafta
    spokesman said after the verdict.

There are also calls for him to lose the honours given to him by the Queen.

Labour MP Simon Danczuk said: "I think the guy is an absolute disgrace and he is
bringing the whole honours system into disrepute."

The Australian, who began his career as an artist, became a CBE in 2005, the year
he painted a portrait of the Queen to mark her 80th birthday.

A final decision on whether to revoke Harris's honours ultimately rests with
    Buckingham Palace.

The story behind Rolf Harris's child safety film
By Justin Parkinson and Kathryn Westcott

    BBC News Magazine

Grab from Kids Can Say No A still taken from the film Kids Can Say No fronted by
    Rolf Harris

The TV entertainer Rolf Harris, who has been found guilty of 12 indecent assaults
against girls, once made a video telling children how to avoid sexual abuse. The
film is an extraordinary example of hiding in plain sight.

In 1982 Rolf Harris visited a youth theatre in Vancouver, Canada. A workshop
taking place there addressed the issue of child abuse, in a way that was designed
to advise the potential victims themselves.

The Green Thumb Theatre's Feeling Yes, Feeling No programme put into simple
language the best ways to ward off unwanted attention, how to look for signs of
inappropriateness and report sexual crimes. Harris, impressed by what he had
seen, decided he would make a film along similar lines when he got home.

But Dennis Foon, who wrote the script for Feeling Yes, Feeling No when he was
artistic director at the Green Thumb Theatre, did not know Harris had imitated his
concept, formulated in the late 1970s, until he was approached for this feature
    following the guilty verdicts.

"It's amazing," he says. "I had no idea he'd done this. He plagiarised what we did
here. What we set up here was a whole programme, designed to ensure everyone
in the community was aware of the problem and how to deal with children's
complaints. After all, it's a situation created by adults."

Harris's 20-minute video, called Kids Can Say No, came out in 1985. The last of the
offences of which Harris was found guilty earlier this week was not committed until 1986.

Rolf Harris 1985 Rolf Harris pictured about the time of the film aimed at preventing
    child abuse

"It's very significant that he wanted to do the film and actively pushed to offer his
services," says David Wilson, professor of criminology at Birmingham City
University. "It was probably a reaction to the feelings of guilt about what he was
    doing at the time.

"It's also a case of hiding in plain sight. He was possibly trying to cover up what he
was up to by doing a film about the subject. Perhaps, also, in his mind, it was a
kind of penance for the abuse he was committing," says Wilson, a former prison
governor responsible for a sex offender rehabilitation programme.

Kids Can Say No features Harris talking to a group of four, seven and eight-year-
olds on London's Hampstead Heath. It was promoted as demonstrating "situations
where children might be in danger from people they know and trust, as well as
    from strangers".

The film starts with a jingle. "My body's nobody's body but mine. You run your own
body. Let me run mine," Harris sings with the children.

They discuss what are "yes" (good) feelings, such as cuddles from their mother or a
tickle on the ribs from their father, and "no" (bad) feelings, such as being squeezed
too hard or being pinched. "I wanted to find out what makes yes feelings and no
feelings when you're touching or being touched," Harris explains in the
video. "Touching can be one of the nicest feelings in the whole world."

    line

    Youngsters learn to swim

Rolf Harris also featured in a number of public information films
Harris was billed as the "voice of commonsense" in the "teach them to swim"
    campaigns from the 1970s

"When I was three years old, I fell in the river at our place. Couldn't swim.
Somehow, managed to scramble my way to the bank. Frightened the wits out of
my mum and dad," says Harris.

At the end, he lies back in the water and waves with his foot. In the background
you can hear the children shouting: "Get Him! Get Him!"
    line

Harris and the children go through a series of hypothetical scenarios aimed at
increasing their self-confidence in dealing with would-be abusers. In one, some
teenage boys take a small boy to a hideout in the woods and attempt to make him
    remove his clothes.

In another a young girl visits the shops to buy a toy. She finds she doesn't have
enough money and Harris asks her to pretend that a man comes up and offers to
give her some if she agrees to go home with him.

"Tell him, 'Thank you very much but no,'" Harris tells them, before instructing the
children to say: "Go away - very firmly."

Harris offers advice on how to report such incidents. "You mustn't be ashamed to
tell people you were touched where you didn't want to be touched," he says.

In the final scenario, a girl is unable to go swimming and is left at home with her
father. He offers to give her a bubble bath, followed by an ice cream. The girl points
out that she is too old for her father to give her a bath. "Don't be silly. We'll have a
little game. It will be our secret," he replies.

Later the girl asks: "Why did you make me touch you like that?" "Because we love
each other, it's our little secret," replies the father. "I don't want you to tell
mummy or anyone. If you do, I could go to prison and that would be all your fault."

One of the final comments from Harris is: "Some people don't act right with kids,
    and they need help."

Kids Can Say No retailed at £36 and was intended for use by schools, with teachers
supervising showings and developing on its themes during lessons.

It was vetted by the NSPCC. But it "wasn't commissioned or distributed by us",
says a spokesman. "We were simply approached to check the advice given in the
film, which we did, but, as we understand it, Rolf Harris paid a film company to
    make this himself."

After its release Harris, who at the time presented Rolf's Cartoon Club on the BBC,
was praised for his work to deal with abuse. In the Times a social worker said he
had a "particularly good manner" with children, which adults would "do well" to
imitate. But a psychologist noted that the target audience, five to 11-year-olds, was
far too wide for the video to be effective using a single message.

Having seen some of the content online this week, Foon was unimpressed.

"Harris's message was simply 'Yell and tell' in a film that lasted just 20 minutes.
That's no good. In fact it's quite an irresponsible thing to say if you don't also
create a situation in which children were actually going to be listened to. Who were
    they meant to tell? Rolf?"

Rolf Harris and Jimmy Savile joke about their friendship

    Published on 1 Jul 2014

Footage filmed in 1992 by ITV West shows television entertainer and convicted sex
abuser Rolf Harris joking with Jimmy Savile as he draws a portrait of him.

Harris, known to generations of children in Britain for his friendly screen presence,
was found guilty on Monday of a string of indecent assaults on young girls that took
place from the 1960s to the 1980s.

In the video Harris is seen joking with Savile that they go back a "long time".

"What was it? Several weeks ago wasn't it when we first met?" he said.

Harris then presents Savile with a portrait which he has drawn of him, to which he
replies: "I see strong character lines, I see liquid brown eyes and I see the firm
jutting chin, all together makes a horrible sight."

are supped to be into. Its like as Saville quips " He mistook me for a bishop"..

Its etiquette to kiss the Bishops ring in official capacities....

Grim: A necklace that paedophile DJ Jimmy Savile made out of a glass eye stolen
from a corpse was sold at auction for £75

A necklace that paedophile DJ Jimmy Savile made out of a glass eye stolen from a
corpse was sold at auction for £75, it emerged tonight.Savile is understood to have
worn the sickening trophy as he recorded the last ever episode of Top of the Pops
    in 2006.

It was eventually sold at an auction in July 2012 for £75.

And the disgraced DJ continued his depraved campaign of abuse by groping a child
during the recording at BBC’s Television Centre while wearing the pendant.

Sickening reports released yesterday revealed Savile also used glass eyes stolen
from corpses to make rings and other pieces of jewellery.

And he bragged about stealing false eyes from a mortuary at Leeds General
Infirmary in shocking Department of Health reports.

His victim at the Top of the Pops recording was one of more than 100 victims aged
between five and 75 that Savile attacked in a sick 50-year campaign of abuse.

Savile had sex with corpses and made rings of glass eyes from dead patients,
according to reports relating to hospitals where he worked.

Other items sold at the auction alongside the glass eye necklace included his 2002
Rolls Royce with the number plate JS 247, which went for £130,000.

Among the other lots were his famous Jim’ll Fix It chair and a £12,000 gold and diamond Rolex watch.

Home Office under fire over lost paedophile dossier

The Home Office is facing calls to explain why a 1980s dossier about alleged
paedophiles at Westminster was lost or destroyed by officials.

The document was handed to then Home Secretary Leon Brittan by Tory MP

Geoffrey Dickens.Lord Brittan passed concerns in it to the relevant authorities, but
the file itself was "not retained".

Labour MP Simon Danczuk said it may contain evidence that would identify child
    sex abusers.

In an earlier version of this story, we reported that the Home Office had launched a
trawl for the missing dossier, but this had in fact already been carried out - even
though most people, including Lord Brittan himself, appear to have been unaware of it.

Simon Danczuk had been pressing Lord Brittan to reveal what he knew about the
dossier's contents - and for the Home Office to publish it in full - when officials
released a statement saying they had already carried out a review that had found it
    had not been retained.

    'Little fanfare'

A Home Office spokesman said Lord Brittan had not been contacted by the team
carrying out the review of old Home Office files, records and other papers to find
out "what action was taken in respect of any material received".

But the team had found a letter from Lord Brittan to the late Tory MP Geoffrey
Dickens, dated March 1984, which said some of the concerns he had raised about
alleged abuse had been passed to the director of public prosecutions, who had
passed them on to the police to investigate.

The review found that Lord Brittan had acted appropriately in dealing with
allegations and it had "found no evidence of Mr Dickens expressing dissatisfaction
about the action taken in respect of the information he had passed on".

Simon Danczuk Simon Danczuk is calling for a public inquiry into the allegations

Mr Danczuk told BBC News he had not been aware of the review either - a
summary of which was published last year - but said it raised more questions than
    it answered.

"They must have published the review with little fanfare and people will ask why
that would be the case," he told BBC News.

"Is the review adequate? I suspect it isn't and we are now told that the dossier that
had been presented about networks of paedophiles by Geoffrey Dickens to the then
Home Secretary Leon Brittan has been lost or destroyed. That raises questions."

He called on the Home Office to reveal the outcome of any police investigations
that may have resulted from the information in the dossier.

    'Last refuge'

He added: "Why would you destroy such an important document? What action was
taken? Were any prosecutions forthcoming? We need to know this. It's raising more
    questions than it is answers."

Downing Street rejected calls to publish the review in full. The prime minister's
official spokesman said: "The executive summaries fully reflect the work that was done."

    What were the Dickens Dossiers?

Geoffrey Dickens Conservative MP Geoffrey Dickens died in 1995
Analysis by Matt Prodger, Home Affairs Correspondent

Geoffrey Dickens was Conservative MP for Huddersfield West from 1979 until 1983,
when he was then elected for Littleborough and Saddleworth and held the seat until
    his death in 1995.

According to press reports at the time, he handed two dossiers to the Home Office
in 1983-84. One of them, he reportedly said, concerned a civil servant and another
one related to an employee of Buckingham Palace. They also contained allegations
concerning the Paedophile Information Exchange, a group that campaigned to
make sex between adults and children legal.

But in an interview with the Daily Express in August 1983 he also said he would
expose eight prominent figures if the home secretary failed to act. He told the
paper: "I've got eight names of big people, really important names, public figures.
And I am going to expose them in Parliament.

"One of these people is a friend of mine, but you have to be merciless protecting
the young. These people must not be allowed to get away with it just because they
    are important in public life."

In response, Lord Brittan said in a statement that he had received a "substantial
bundle of papers" from Mr Dickens, which he had asked Home Office officials to
examine and "report back to me" if "action needed to be taken". He never did expose them in Parliament.

A letter from Leon Brittan to Mr Dickens, dated March 1984, says: "In general
terms, the view of the director of public prosecutions is that two of the letters you
forwarded could form the basis for inquiries by the police and they are now being
    passed to the appropriate authorities.

"In other cases, there either seems to be inadequate evidence to pursue
prosecution, for example the lady who wrote about PIE [Paedophile Information
Exchange] advertising but did not secure any example of the material complained
of, or they have already been dealt with in some way by the courts or the police."

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On Tuesday, Mr Danczuk told the Commons Home Affairs Committee that politics
was "the last refuge of child sex abuse deniers" and there was a view among many
politicians that alleged offenders should not be named. He called on Lord Brittan to
say what he knew about Mr Dickens' allegations.

On Wednesday morning, Lord Brittan issued a statement in which he said he had
received a "substantial bundle of papers" from Geoffrey Dickens and had asked
officials to "report back to me" if "action needed to be taken". He said he "did not
recall" being "contacted further about these matters".

Shortly afterwards, the Home Office released a statement pointing to its 2013
report, which suggested Lord Brittan had, in fact, passed concerns raised by Mr
    Dickens to the relevant authorities.

It said: "In response to concerns raised in Parliament and the media relating to the
handling by the department of historical allegations of abuse, the permanent
secretary commissioned an independent review of all relevant papers received by
the department between 1979 to 1999 to identify any information received and the
    outcome.

"The review concluded the Home Office acted appropriately, referring information
received during this period to the relevant authorities."

Lord Brittan then issued a further statement, saying: "In the last hour I have been
alerted to a Home Office independent review conducted last year into what
information it received about organised child sex abuse between 1979 and 1999.

"The review found information had been dealt with properly.

"It also disclosed that material received from Mr Dickens in November 1983 and
January 1984 had not been retained.

"However, a letter was sent from myself to Mr Dickens on March 20, 1984,
explaining what had been done in relation to the files.

"The Home Office independent review is entirely consistent with the action I set out
in my earlier statement. Whilst I could not recall what further action was taken 30
years ago, the information contained in this report shows that appropriate action
    and follow-up happened."

I will echo whats already been said. Well done for keeping this thread going!! I find it both fascinating, in a detective sort of way and disturbing and sickening at the same time. As I have already said back in the day we were all quite oblivious to what was going on. Nowadays, things have changed somewhat but I do wonder how many paedophiles there are. Homosexualty has come to the for a lot in recent times, gay rights etc, and IMHO it is not about tolerance or even acceptance but more about promotion, so /i often wonder how many homosexuals there actually are, given there propensity as BBC talk show hosts or as participants on "big Brother" you would be forgiven fo believing that they were the majority.
I like David Icke and a lot of what he says , but I don't believe it all, and as he was in showbiz circles he may well have heard about Saville on the grapevine.
We do not hear much about black magic and satanism and I wonder how much this plays a part. There were similar reports that were later discredited about satanic abuse of children. Are they all connected?
