Yeah well, see my post here.

I've read some of the toe-curling (Dutch) news and public reactions. Frankly I had to stop because
the propaganda of all parties taking advantage out of this crisis is making me sick. It seems to be
the first and foremost thing to do when such a crisis occurs. All parties were using the "being shot
down" scenario to vilify the opponent within a few hours with no real evidence what so ever.

But real fact finding seems less interesting ... it doesn't advance your political career. You'd better
stick with a version that seems to be on the winning hand.

Aruba escapes Venezuelan invasion

Google messes up the translation too much to be understandable. But in short it is about this:

Hugo Carvajal, former chief of intelligence service DIM was apprehended on indication by the US.
Now there was some dispute about his diplomatic immunity. Apparently Venezuela sent 4 warships
to the coast of Aruba ... this was enough for minister Timmermans to reverse his decision and
consequently Carvajal was released.

Man, this world is getting crazy ... and again they had to reconsider because of fragile relations.
Dutch oil company Shell has deals with Venezuela. You don't want to mess that up, would you?
